Five uniquely beautiful campsites situated 20 feet above the creek. Says “walk-in” camping, but the parking area is a literal stone’s-throw away. Enough room to park & turn around w/our 19’ Airstream. We came in early September at night through a smoke & wind storm...ended up parking just outside the entrance to the campground for free. There was tons of room (more than just a pull-out), probably 20 cars could park there.T Mobile cell service was about 2 bars - good enough to send emails.

Super beautiful place, really nice by the creek with some nice trails to explore BUT — there was really sus people coming and going all night, two people who seemed to be living there, people definitely using drugs /selling drugs from the grounds. Wouldn’t recommend it especially for kids/ women alone. Sad because it’s such a beautiful place - but listen to the reviews that say it’s overrun with drug users. our neighbors were nice, but i think we’re obviously on drugs. we’re outside driving around all night and doing varies things such as cutting wood, sharpening knives, all sorts of noisy stuff at 2 AM.

Beautiful campground. Very quiet and private, and clean, but from what I could tell there are only four campsites and you arent allowed to save or make reservations.

REALLY VERY Nice Here!!Very little 2 *NO road noise coming from hwy 30!! ( YAAY! )This campground is easily accessible & camp parking area well defined.Tents have been set up in camping areas and families were having picnics when I arrived.[ Friday, July 24th 2020-5 PM.*64 cloudy-no wind ]Main Road has some more grating going on up ahead & it is still covered with sharp, fistsized rocks 2 avoid along the road. Slow driving thru 4 optimal safety 4 sedans. The road splits in two with a huge Grater machine parked on the right hand side. The road split is not well defined on the right and is barely car sized in width, making things very claustrophobic and impassable 4 me.I decided not 2 travel any further up to the left, as the main dirt road had even more large, sharp rocks on it. I did not want 2 ruin & flatten my tires. Dena Vu!!Thankfully, The split area in the road is large enough 4 turn around(whew!! The ditches here are deep)Weather 4 road conditions:Main Road is dry right now but I think it could get very sloggy and slippery (clay/ashy mud type dirt road )Very Tricky driving on when wet or soaked up with lots of rain and can get bogged down very quickly.Big knobby tires can dig up the road pretty deep in this type of earth when its wet- burying axles (FYI)But the Forest itself here is extremely beautiful.Camping/RecreatingFolks are doing a wonderful job keeping the area clean and free of trash & debris.Signs everywhere that stateLEAVE NO TRACE.Seems people are doing so & minding about cleaning up after themselves.Thankyou so very much!!Lots of Shade here and a beautiful Creek is flowing here also.Full, STRONG Internet access on my Sprint Cell Phone GALAXY NOTE 8. (YIPPEE!!) A RARITY along these coast roads sometimes.Otherwise, its VERY QUIET & PEACEFUL-THANKYOU!!Today is only a first time exploration 4 me & unsure about the area otherwise. No Gnats or Mosquitos or Flies here !! ThankYou!!VERY CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL and peaceful AREA!!

Its Thick, Mature Forest & Plenty of Shade & this campground is close enough 2 the coastline where the air is much cooler than I first expected. This area is in a major heatwave & the valley area is over *100, while this particular wooded area remained in the *60s.Big difference in temperatures compared to SeaQuest up near Spirit Lake are about *85 and *95.Its pretty dry in here and the passing cars & trucks kick up a lot of the dust & ashe in the road. There is enough shade cover away from the (brutal) suns heat, however.Someone has dumped fish gutting trash up the road here. There are about twenty-thirty fish heads and carcasses from their fish cleaning activities and the bodies and fish carcasses are reeking & rotting and smell very bad. This all has happened within the past 24 hours, as I was up here checking out the area for the very first time only yesterday and the road was clean, so this obvious careless person throwing out fish-guts and fish-carcass dump along the road up here, is only recent and the sight and stench really detracts from the overall beauty of this area.As well as I could not help but notice the people who are shouting, yelling and screaming at their dogs and kids at the tops of their lungs for all to hear. This ruckus caused me to move away from them & their ugly yelling noise very quickly as well.Ive been a traveller & explorer of the Pacific Northwest over 10 years-From Mexico Borders in California to Canada.I only report about what I see and experience to this medium called MAPQUEST.Overall, this area makes a pretty nice place to shelter for the day from the hot summer sun. Sun is deadly brutal up here in the summer months and this area is a true blessing and quite a find !!There is one inground ( unisex ) toilet privy thats fairly clean. At least there is no huge-line-2-the-toilet nor the usual toilet stampede at all hours of the day consisting of women all rushing to get in there first or standing in a line outside around here-( so far, anyway )I have never witnessed such activities at any privy or portapotty.Only at the regular public flush toilets up here with running water & sinks. Also, there is pretty good internet signal capacity *right here* in the forest, (which is a very welcome suprise!!)Thankyou to whomever did the install for the INTERNET SIGNAL!!

There are four tent sites all relatively close to each other with enough parking. There is a restroom with no sink, but plenty of toilet paper. Gorgeous little spot by a little river with tall trees. Really enjoyed my stay here except for the loud neighbors. Cant wait to come back in the near future!

You definitely get better than what you pay for. Came in the winter and it was empty. With only three spots, I imagine it fills up quick in the summertime.

Review №34

Great location with 4 1/2 campsites, the camp ground is close to the highway which can get a little noisy at times but the view of the woods and hikes around the surrounding area is gorgeous. The 1/2 campsite is a social campsite someone or someones made over time, itll suit your needs and lull you to sleep with the creek nearby however a trail goes right thru the site so be warned. All in all a great find and cheap place to stay at for a night or two

This is the camping equivalent of renting a room in a hole-in a wall hotel. But with a very good scenery and cheap $5.00 per night rate. Be careful - this campground only has 3 camps!
