My kids were taken in for haircuts. My son’s hair is cut completely uneven and my daughter’s is even worse. We spent $52 on this and now I have to take them somewhere else and spend more to get it fixed. Why not take them back? They are closed tomorrow which is Monday and the last time they went to this place for a haircut the stylist cut my son twice with the clippers. Totally unacceptable. To make it worse the price is ridiculous. They had good stylist before COVID but now they are all new and all horrible. Don’t waste your time and money.

We have visited this location several times and we were shocked by how horrible the service was. They were not able to meet our needs and completely disregarded our situation. I know they have a tight schedule they need to follow but due to traffic that was unavoidable due to an accident that had taken place they couldn’t give us just 5mins more to get there. I’m really disappointed and glad we came across another place to take care of our needs. Very unfortunate this establishment lacks understanding and is willing to work with someone who is at least notifying them vs not showing up at all

As long as you make an appointment, you shouldnt have to wait for an hour. Theres enough stimuli to keep kids entertained. I always bring a book. My sons hair has never been anything less than great here. Just wish there were more parking spots.

You guys are amazing. But the lady who did my sons hair did a horrible job, his banges are uneven badly and it’s extremely unfaded just not a good job.. I usually go to the Alamo ranch location, but my sons barber wasn’t available, I was hoping I’d be able to have 2 barbers but I will just stick to my Alamo ranch location. Again you guys are amazing and I love the company but I’m extremely sad by how my sons hair is.. I paid $32 for a chopped job..

Super cute place, perfect for little ones. I’ve been cutting my little guys hair for 2+ years now and the experience often brings us both to tears. Sitting in Lightning McQueen and watching cars, he was still and content the whole time.I give three stars for two reasons: 1. His hair cut was and is just sad, I will have to recut it myself as it was cut all choppy and there are random spots that are really thick. 2 The price- 22 dollars, really?

We have been going to Sharkey’s for at least a couple of years (if not more) and it’s because of Stephanie Vela. My son has some audio sensory issues and haircuts were always a massive challenge. Thanks to Stephanie being receptive to his needs we no longer have meltdowns. Aside from Stephanie being sweet and considerate she always gives great haircuts! So much so that I (a mom) also get her to cut my hair. I highly recommend Stephanie for your child or even your own haircuts. We love Stephanie and Sharkey’s!

Not even close to the experience my daughter had the last time we were here. The lady that cut her hair was very nice but not a very good hair stylist. She trimmed it like I asked but the last few times we been there all the other stylists just give her some glitter and fruity smelling spray and a little braid or whatever without asking. It’s the least that they can do for the price they charge.

I have been to this location about 4x and usually I have no problems. Today I took my two kids in and we had Roberta. my sons hair look great but although I said a little trim for my daughter She gave her a really short cut. I could cry! I know it’s just hair but my kids are mixed and it takes awhile for their hair to grow and I was just starting to be able to do things to it putting it partway up. I was so upset I commented wow this is shorter than I was thinking but I didn’t say too much else because I wanted to cry and not make a scene. When she asked me how I wanted it I said a trim and some spots were thicker so I expected a little more from back but no that much!! It is super short in the back and on the sides and I am trying to tell myself that it’s hair it will grow back bit I’m sincerely disappointed. I gave it 2 stars because my sons hair cut looked great but my daughters was soo super short and not “just a trim.”

We have been going to Stephanie but she is gone now and we are so disappointed! She is absolutely amazing and does a wonderful job every time and my daughter actually enjoys haircuts. It is always difficult to go to a new person but Melody made the transition very easy. She did my daughter’s hair and she did a great job as well. We will be going to her from now on. :)

I was really disappointed. I made an appointment and came a little early. I was given an option to either wait a really long time to get a haircut with the video games or go in the back where they made a makeshift station to cut hair. Since I didn’t want to wait (which I didn’t, hence the reason I made an appointment) my son had a hair cut in the back where they had a tv on a night stand and spent a good part of the hair cut looking for the remote. I did not receive a discount and spent $20 for just a haircut. I’ll probably won’t return.

Great place for kids. They even have video games to keep them calm during the haircut. A+

We recently took our grandson for his first hair cut and were very impressed at how calm they kept him during the hair cut. Everyone was very nice, even the receptionist working there. I think her name was Makayla. She was very sweet to our grandson and checked us out without any complications. Will be returning.

I got my 14 month old sons 2nd haircut here and he cried, screamed and jerked his head around constantly, but he still managed to get an awesome and even haircut! I didnt get his stylists name, but she was really good with him and his whole tantrum. His first haircut was at cookie cutter and he was calm and still the entire time, but his hair was uneven, too long, and needed some touch ups at home. Definitely going back to sharkeys!

Walking into the salon at first was very exciting, there are toys everywhere and all the chairs had something entertaining for the kids . Everyone was very nice and helpful when checking in.When asked by the stylist what type of hair cut we wanted for our sons first cut, my husband and I decided to have her trim off some curls, leaving behind some .After she was done, there were no curls left and it looked very uneven . Being very positive I looked past this and went home.Only to have my son complain about his ears hurting, when looking at them, we noticed the stylist had cut both tops of his ears.Although the place is very nice and uplifting I dont think well be returning .

Went here today instead of Buddy Cuts because Buddy Cuts isnt open on Sunday. Loved it so much, well definitely start going here instead. Great prices, very nice staff, and a balloon with my daughters haircut. Her hair looks fantastic, also.

My son is terrified of haircuts, and this is THE best place yet. He still cried and is super scared but Brandi is amazing!!! She is super calm, super sweet, and super fast! And she did a GREAT job on his haircut. We werent even there 10 mins. I will continue going to this location and to Brandi. Loved it!

Appointments are highly recommended. Its a great place to take any kid, but especially those who are scared of getting haircuts. Each chair has its own tv, so they can watch cartoons our play games to keep their minds off the haircutting itself. They also have special chairs that are made from power wheels so the little ones tend to get really excited about that.They also have a party room for special occasions and birthdays. Along with party packages for different types of parties.

My daughters haircut turned out great. She didnt get to sit in one of the car chairs, though, she said that she was too tall. The stylist was Val and she was so nice and recommended me to an adult salon here in town, since Im new around here. The only negative...not enough places to sit for parents, and holy cow they are busy busy busy. Will return for sure, but they might want to get more seating...

Brandi has been cutting my sons hair since before his first birthday, hell be seven next month. She does a phenomenal job with his cut, he refuses to let us take him anywhere else. Shes very patient and attentive.

First time at sharkeys with both of my boys. We didnt have an appointment and went in around 1 pm. We were out by 2. I think we just got extremely lucky because the next walk in was an hour wait. Roberta and Brandi both did an excellent job on the boys hair. We will definitely be back.

We had a great experience here. Our son got the kids first haircut package and we were very pleased with how well the stylist worked with him. Each chair had a TV with Netflix set up, and every kid in there was clearly having a good time. The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the online appointment system didnt really work. I had to call a couple days after I did the online form because I had never heard from them. Turns out that they never got request and so didnt have us down for an appointment. Other than that, we were very satisfied.

Roberta was so sweet! We went for our 11 month olds first haircut. Im so impressed with how well she did on our wiggly boy! She was so patient. When we asked for her to go a little shorter, she had no problem or attitude.For those who think the price is high, please keep in mind that not only is it for the novelty of the special chair, tv, and overall atmosphere, but these ladies are dealing with squirmy and sometimes tearful little kids. I couldnt imagine needing to cut my sons hair. Well stick with Sharkeys in the future!

Took a bit of time to get in since we didnt have an appointment but they offered water and soda . Not enough chairs though. They cut the hair exactly like Ive been looking for . yes it cost 18 but after going to cheaper places and not getting it done right it was worth it.the other time I went I made an appointment so I got right in.. different stylist but good job, plus the lollipop and balloon always make it extra special.

My wife and I took my 1 year old son in for his 1st haircut. I was a little apprehensive because of some of the other reviews, but WOW ARE THEY WRONG!!! This place was totally amazing. The staff was excellent, Margo was his Stylist and I couldnt have asked for a better 1st time experience. Super patient and flexible, we had to move chairs once from the lil Jeep to an actual chair and it was great. Super clean would have let me son eat his dropped treat clean! WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING BACK!

We just moved to SA and needed a place for little kid hair cuts and this place was amazing and perfect for our family! Brandi was awesome with my 4 year old and Dashua was amazing with my 2 going on 3 year old, She also cut off about 12 inches of hair off my little man that hates anyone touching his hair but me! She was patient and was laughing the whole time even when he wasnt! When I told her he was done for the day she stopped and said are you sure I said yep and she brushed him off and let him run! Go see Dashua and Brandi they were pretty awesome to my family:). Also the support staff the one was pretty awesome too, but sadly I didnt catch her name!

The lady that was cutting my sons hair did such a bad job. She cut his ear with the trimmer and instead of apologizing she said well it happens. She also cut his sideburns so so short way above his ear. I dont recommend this place, it looks nice inside but everything is covered in dust. They sell backpacks but they are so covered in dust that they look old.

Very excited to have found this place. Susan is a Toddler Master. We couldnt have asked for a better experience.Price is the only only negative about Sharkeys. $18 plus tip! I wouldve tipped Susan a little more than we did had it not been for the cost. But it was a great experience, nonetheless and well try and come back.

I took my 2 children there. The hairstylist was ok and nice. But when I went to the register, I felt like I got my eyes poked out when I had to pay $20 bucks for a $5 haircut. So overpriced that I will never go back. Across the street is another kids cut for a realistic price.

The environment is great and the staff is friendly but after 3 times I have come to the conclusion they just cant do mohawks. We tried explaining what we want repeatedly but finally just get tired and give up. I think we have one more Groupon for this location and dont know if we will use it. It is just too frustrating not to get what you want.

This was my sons 3rd time here an i am usually happy with his haircut an go with Pat an she is awesome!! Unfortunately i wasnt able to schedule with her an well my son needed his haircut. So i asked who is the one that people always ask for an they said brandi!! me thinking ive seen good reviews on her she would be great but it turned out she messed up my sons hair!! He has a bald spot in the back bc they went too short an around the edge they missed hairs an on top i asked for a trim an i guess she did it her way!! I know my son might move but hes 2 an well Pat never had a problem cutting his hair!!!

Asked for this hipster style cut for my son. One of the hair dressers had just done it for the boy in her chair but they made us go with another older woman. Made me nervous she might not have been as UTD on current styles and I knew at least the other girl could do the exact style cause I just saw the hair of the previous client in her chair and it was perfect! I had a picture and also described it. Older lady still didnt seem sure. She asked the other stylist what she did (on the sides only) after I told her it was the cut that other stylist had just given another kid. She tells me she might not be able to do it then whats the point?! My son had more than enough hair on top for it! But she admits she wasnt familiar with the style. It was at that point she shouldve let us go to the other stylist then if she wasnt familiar with a CURRENT trending hairstyle. So I told her if she couldnt do it, then just give him a faux hawk since he was actually kind of born with the shape of a natural faux hawk anyway. (We just came to try something new and different). She says ok. Since the sides were already so short we went with a mo What my son ended up being STUCK WITH that RUINED our Christmas photo with Santa (which I told her about), was a freaking HIGH & TIGHT!!!! JUST GOD AWFUL!!! I tried to politely mention how short it is and she tries to lie and assure me that no it can be styled up. It couldnt. Even she couldnt do it and says oh its cause he just needs gel. Well then put some more on and prove it. Sheesh. Nope. I got stuck paying for this. She DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO WIPE MY SON OFF!! Im standing there wiping the hair off of him when she finally gets the point and barely wipes him. Its all over his clothes but she couldnt bend cause of an injury. I couldnt bend because Im pregnant with a bone condition and technically was supposed to be on bed rest. Which I had already told her. Bending is kind of a no no for me. After a moment she them asks for help from another girl. She got him cleaned off and I go to pay. Yes...I had to pay full price for a horrible hair cut I didnt ask for and one both me AND my former Marine husband HATE! High & Tights are a horrible look, especially on my son! To make it worse she kept insisting she couldnt shorten the tips in the front that stick straight out. (Like forward out, not standing up out). Funny cause I usually cut his hair, faux hawk style and I can make it look normal AND nice every time. So I had to pay for something we didnt want, full price at that, and then go home and cut his hair in the front anyway. She was just sooo sure it wouldnt look right. Lady I didnt say shave it! Just trim it so theyre not sticking straight out and looking like funny horns! I dont even know WHY she cut the mohawk part in TWO parts either! Which is what ruined the cut. Cause his hair kept splitting down the middle! Looks completely ridiculous in our santa pictures and there was no hair left to try to work with if I took him somewhere else, since she cut his hair SO SHORT on top, it wasnt even a full inch long! (I measured it when we got home). Really upset about this experience. Cant say Ill be going back or recommending people actually go here just to get swindled! And since she was hovering over the register counter as I went to pay for this hack job, I felt pressured to tip too! Only $5 but still! I dont like making a huge scene but I REALLY didnt like that I felt pressured to pay full price, much less a tip for THAT service while she stood there and stared at me. Please dont waste your time or money here if its just gonna be hit or miss and you have something special planned for why youre getting the hair cut!

The staff needs a lesson in customer service when they think its okay to leave one toddler waiting while they tend to the absent appointment i.e. Sitting around doing nothing and advising the stylist to do the same. Get a clue crew at Sharkys. I will never return to this heap!

The whole place is so cute! We got the Babys first haircut package which comes with before and after pictures, some of his hair, and a certificate with the date of babys first haircut. They even give a balloon and a lollipop to the kids after they finish!They also have tvs set up in front of each chair and you can choose what you want them to put on for the kids.Our stylist name was Tess and she was just amazing with my son! His hair came out so cute which I am so happy about since he was trying to get away the whole time. LolThe whole staff seemed friendly and I definitely recommend this place.

Valerie is my fav!! I love how she knows what best for my son and his straight hair! He struggles with the clippers and cant sit still and she manages to get him cut anyways...Shes awesome!!
