They are very thorough and cautious with covid guidelines which is great! When we got there though, the hostess was nowhere to be seen and we actually had to enter past the check in station to get someones attention. Food was pretty good too. We went on a very slow night. Service was really slow. With two front of house employees and 6 clients, it took some effort to order our drinks. Hopefully business picks up so it will rejuvenate the staff and be the one vibrant hip place i always remember it to be

Fun bar with old style arcade games ranging from pinball to classic racing car.Plenty of draft beers available at decent prices. Expect it to be busy but that all creates a great atmosphere.Beers range from $8-$10 and each game play is a quarter dollar. There is a change machine in the corner as you walk in where you can switch up your paper notes to coins.Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks.

Food couldve been better. Service regarding staff attitudes were extremely dry. Games need to be updated. But was ok until one of the staff walked up to us while we were playing the games and enjoying ourselves just to tell us nastily that we couldnt eat food at the games (mind you my boyfriend pulled out a piece of candy) and then told us to wear our masks (mind you the mask dropped for a split second) very loudly. I feel like they were waiting to say something since we were being watched the entire time. I immediately left afterward. No tip and Wont be back.

Best Barcade around. Perfect crust, good quality sauce, perfect amount of cheese and fresh toppings. Seriously, cant think of a single place that has a better pie. Ham and Pineapple rocks, Pepperoni is delicious and just tried the Pastrami (yes, pastrami and pickles with mustard sauce) was surprisingly good.

Love coming to the barcade! The first time I went to the downtown one and both have their pros. This one is a lot more spacious with group and driving games that we all loved! It’s a great way to pass a night! Once we brought outside food and the bouncer was super friendly about telling us to put it away, always a great experience! It does get crowded and rowdy when people are passionate about the games but never in a bad way. I’d recommend their fries, we always order them!

Does it get any better then vintage games & alcohol. Barcade is definitely one of my top spots to hang with friends and catch up, it is a great throw back to when we were kids playing Taxi, Pac-Man, Mario, Ninja Turtles.

Randomly/spontaneously decided to check this place out when we drove past it. Pretty cool, small place. Most games are at least $0.50. Beer only bar, but I just found out through Yelp that this place has wine slushy?! WHAAAT!! I need to come back for that. Maybe if I drank one, two, or ten of those, I wouldve had more fun haha... but the popular games were usually occupied. I wish there were more arcade games that I knew.

Great spot to bounce in and hang with friends. Not too busy when we went, but in a good way. Age restriction which really made the experience that much more enjoyable. Will definitely have to come back.

Nice bar where you can grab a drink and play a good variety of arcade games with friends. *They check your ID before you can enter.The games all require these tokens to play or u can use quarters. They have exchange machines inside for the tokens in case you dont have any coins. Some of the games required more tokens than the others. Overall, it was a nice place to visit.

This is the most fun bar that Ive been to in NYC, and its an absolute retreat for the 80s/90s kids. The arcade games are authentic & unfeigned as they truly make you feel nostalgic. The drinks were good and the food was delicious. Burgers were quite juicy and the chicken nachos were scrumptious.

This is hands down the best arcade in NYC for adults. The bartenders are polite and courteous despite how busy they are on a Saturday night. And the selection of games is beyond reproach. I love coming here.

This is a gem bar. If you like arcades, give it a try. Lots of kinds of draught beer will be waiting for you. They also serve food. A token to play is 0.25$. The games are ok although i was expecting better varieties.

I went last night, a Wednesday night, and it was the perfect level of busy. There were available seats and plenty of available games, but also so many people to talk to. Great conversations. I loved my beers, 3 that I just picked at random. The games all work great and are in fantastic condition.

I helped to organize a company outing here at the Chelsea location, and it was fantastic. Everyone was talking about it the next day. The top shelf open bar with food and unlimited games was definitely the way to go. Theres nothing like games and great food to bring people together. We all knew the games would be fun, but we didnt expect the food to be so delicious! There are quite a few food snobs amongst us, and all were impressed. The short rib grilled cheese was the winner, but everything was great. I loved the purple veggie burgers too. I highly recommend Barcade for a group event. We had 30 people and it was perfect.

It’s a fun place to go. Remember it is 21 and up. The staff isn’t too talkative or friendly but they know how to pour beer. They got great beers on tap.

This place could be so great if their staff had better attitudes. Came here for a work event, and one of the staff treated me like a problem the whole time. Didnt say one word when I asked for a beer or asked for water. Barely acknowledged me there when it was around 1p in the afternoon on a weekday. It honestly felt like it was purposeful.I get some patrons can be tiresome or rude, but I know my team were kind and respectful. It just put a sour note on a special day. What a shame...

Cool atmosphere, nice retro arcade games. Food Is decent as well as the drinks... but i personally feel the music they play sucks at all the Barcade in NYC. Very one dimensional when it comes to music.

A really fun spot and concept. Perfect for a after work or nighttime activity, this place had some awesome vintage arcade games and activities. Lots of beer on tap and some fun looking cocktails, there is also so pretty great bar bites and the fried artichokes were stellar. Gets very busy so a table can be hard to come by but the bar had really efficient service and staffing to keep up.

Top notch! One of the best in the nation as far as retro arcades go. Barcades are just the best. High standard of retro gaming. Whoever owns and runs these is a true retro gamer, of the people.

If you’re into retro arcade games, check out this place. Not much different than other arcade bars I’ve been to in various other cities but I did like how the high scores were posted on a chalkboard along the back wall. The games run on tokens and there’s 2 machines that dispense tokens, about 25 or 50 cents to play. The drinks were fairly inexpensive ($7-9 a pint, $6 a shot) and I didn’t try the food but it looked good.

It was ok, me and my friend had to buy food in order to order a drink and wait for our ride.

Love the place. The drink menu is along the wall, there are bar food options to enjoy and cash is a good choice to trade for tokens to play the games. The bathrooms are also pretty unique with all the cool graffiti art on them

This is a great place to start youre night, spend your night, or end your night. Its good for groups because it allows people to split up and rejoin throughout the night, and its a good place for just two, theres a few two player games and watching friends play is amusing too. Ive been here about three times and never had to really wait for a game, people move about, no one really hogs a machine. Its a but annoying to come during the winter because carrying your coat around is an inconvenience. They have a GREAT beer list, too, with some unusual and special selections.

A great spot for retro gaming, beers, and decent food. The chicken waffle sandwich isn’t included in their €15 lunch menu but it’s stacked and tasted great. Lost a star for questionable fountain drinks though, far too much syrup going on there!

Solid collection, great token to $ ratio and decent crowd. As long as you arent afraid of rubbing elbows with your fellow gammers, youll do just fine

The Chicken and Waffle Grilled Cheese is not worth $16.00. The menu says its fried breast with extra sharp cheddar cheese, but I got chicken tenders and sprinkles of cheddar. The waffles came soggy, not crispy. And the maple Sriracha? Store-bought, high fructose corn-syrup blended with hot sauce. The chicken and waffle mix tasted fine but what was promised was not delivered. I do not recommend ordering this.

The staff here are AMAZING! Truly wonderful people. The bar has good food, the beer selection is always changing and staying new, plus they have vintage games to play! This spot is fun for locals or tourists, good for a small group of people.

Throwback to my childhood, such an amazing choise of games, its a unique experience and something that only people that bored on the 80`s can completely understand. Ill definitely go back there to play more Game when I will be in the city

I am really impressed with this place I came in to a warm welcome with a relaxed vibe as if no one is staring at you . I am not much of a drinker but they have a large selection on tap . As for the food I am not a fan of bar food but this place proved me wrong I got a lunch special for $15 and it took a little time but my gawd it was good everything was fresh like I was a eating some 5 star over price meal , I tip my hat to the chef .They have a large number of vintage arcade games and I felt I wanted to try them all . So I highly recommend stopping this place

Great games which are all well taken care of! The place has a nice square set -up, so ppl traffic can easily move around. They have a full bar and even have some food options! I really liked the place.

I’m very torn on the number of stars to give. 1 Star for a great beer list. 2 Stars for having lots of great games. Loss of one star because it was way too warm inside and there are no places to hang your jacket, so you just have to carry it around if you aren’t lucky enough to get one of the few tables before you get there. I love this place outside of the “Happy Hour” timeframe. Just gets too packed.

Heaps of fun. I have never been beaten at Daytona. I only wish the beer was more drinkable. There is such a thing as too much craft, and that line was crossed a long way back for this bar.

This place is is awesome! They have a lot of the classic arcade games like Mrs Pacman, Daytona USA, Golden Axe, Milepede, and Qbert. They have some newer games too, all in arcade format. You have to buy tokens from a machine instead of rolling up with quarters.They have happy hour, Monday to Friday, from noon until 7pm. The special is $1 off beer (not $1 beer...$1 OFF beer). They also have hot dogs. There is no Game Over at Barcade!

Perfect place if you crave vintage gaming while drinking an adult beverage. Barcade has become a regular stop when I am in NYC so I can relive some of the best games of my childhood while enjoying a new and different beer.

Spent half the day in this bar on our visit to NY. One of the 1st bars we went in on our craft beer tour. The range & quality of beers was excellent & the burger I had appeared to have a whole cow between 2 bits of bread. Excellent venue well worth a visit.

Great side street bar with a very nice atmosphere, selling all sorts of different beers and ales, it has lots of different retro video arcade machines all over the place, very friendly staff who are prepared to go e you advice on the different beers that they sell, great vibe and definitely recommend if you fancy a drink in new york

I had a mixed experience on the night I was here. The door man was nice, the bar people were not as nice tho. My friend got charged 2x for his beer and when he talked to the waiters they didnt refund him, not quite sure what they said.Enjoyed the playing arcades with friends, there were some machines that just ate my coins tho. But you can tell the bar and theyll give u coins.

Great place to hang out if youre interested in classic arcade games, as theres a great selection of old school faves. I was able to find Michael Jackson Moonwalker (an old personal favorite) at one location. And the food /beverage menu is cool for localized original brews and unique sandwiches. Fun spot to go with friends or for dating if video games peaks your Interest.
