Ive visited this zoo for over 10 times now and I will keep coming back. Sitting in the center of Manhattan and surrounded by skyscrapers, this zoo has its unique character. The exhibits are diverse (considering the size) and well maintained. The staff are professional and polite. The sea lion feeding time is a high light but all the exhibits are worthy for both visitors and locals.

Everyone tells you how big Central Park is, but you can never really understand until you’re there! Everything is so much better than you can imagine! It’s so big and clean and refreshing. The trails are a work of art in the way that they work with the landscaping to make it feel more organic and not like someone just cut flat trails. You really need an entire day (or 2!) to really see everything here. Lots of paths for walking, running, or biking mean it’s easy to get some good exercise in while seeing a beautiful park.

Employees were polite. The animals are amazing and you can get up close and personal with the exotic birds. They are makijg ppl wear the masks for the covid but its for your safety so its ok. They have food but its a bit expensive. You can also bring your own food from home if you want to.

Visited Saturday October 3, 2020. First visit to New York City. Beautiful area in the midst of the city. Fairly clean for NYC. Friendly & helpful staff. Warning: the public restroom near kids playground area was horribly dirty & would not recommend! The clean restroom near the Cafe closes at 5PM. I recommend using the public restroom at the Oculus Center. There is plenty to see and enjoy at Central Park without spending a dime. Lots of street entertainment from giant bubbles to musicians. Pretty views. Relaxing spot to escape the hustle & bustle.

Its really nice here. I got my ticket from a kiosk at the zoo entrance. The ticket gave me access to both the main zoo and the childrens zoo. There is a tropical area, an enclosure for penguins, bears and several other animals. Make sure you see the snow leopard, absolutely beautiful and elusive.

Great place to visit and bring your children for a nice and fun trip. There were so many animals to see in the water and on land. The employees were friendly and were helpful if you had any questions or concerns. Beautiful scenery and the park is large its not too crowded and they are open everyday. I would recommend reserving your tickets ahead of time online. Overall great experience.

I love coming to the Central Park Zoo! Its really such a treat to have this little sanctuary in the middle of the busy city. Being a small zoo, they have a variety of wonderful species such as grizzly bear, snow leopard, red panda, and snow monkeys. The tropical bird house is spectacular and always a fun experience with the birds moving freely. Pinguin and seal/sea lion feedings are always a pleasure. Coming to the zoo is just such a quintessential New York experience. We come at least once a year and it is always wonderful and memorable! Dont forget to stop by the gift shop and get something special while supporting the zoo.

I always love strolling around the Central Park Zoo. It’s smaller than some other NYC zoos such a the Bronx Zoo so its much less overwhelming in my experience. You can see a really good variety of animals in beautiful enclosures in an average 2-3 hours. This makes it popular for parents with small children or anyone looking to enjoy some time at the zoo without committing to spending their whole day there.

This zoo is extremely big with lots of open spaces for kids to play and eat Lunch. The reptile house is very Interesting for smaller kids to browse and gaze at exotic reptiles. The Savannah Area of the zoo is extremely large which is great for browsing the bigger animals. The cafe is great offering a variety of food and drinks. The only thing that is a little too much is the prices but they are manageable. The gift shop is also superb offering thoughtful gifts that relate directly to the zoo itself. Seeing as it’s one of New York’s busiest tourist attraction, you will definitely enjoy a day spent here especially if blessed with good weather. The staff here seem very trained and know what they are doing at all times. They frequently host seal shows in which is captivating for the audience and offers some further knowledge into the animals and their way of life in the zoo. Overall the experience in this zoo is very pleasant and the place is always clean with many bins to choose from. The best times to visit the zoo are on the weekends and between 10 am and 4 pm. Great zoo thank you. I’m gonna need to get you a free coffee.

If you want to have a good time with the kiddos while in NYC, then you have to come to the park! It isnt huge but it definitely has some cool animals! Big enough to spend with your children in the city. There is a tropical house, grizzly bear exhibit and a penguin house. The animals seem to be well cared for. The center piece of the zoo is the sea lion pool. During COVID there were pockets where social distancing was not always enforced by staff, specifically on lines to enter indoor exhibits like the penguin house.

Very nice, small, zoo. The experience here is not about visiting and seeing animals as this is not the biggest zoo around. Its about the walking around in Central Park and watching people around. There is couple of closed-room, temperature-controlled exhibits like the Tropical room, or the Penguin show. The best (fun) one is the sea lions. Nice show! Try to get there at 3:30 for the feeding session, which has a very nice show with staff feeding and playing with sea lions.

Going there during the week, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The penguin and tropical pavilions are favorites, and we made sure to stop by and have a good look. The sea lions were playing and cavorting in the pool, and while there are no timed feedings so as to avoid crowds, there were a few onlookers outside the zoo enjoying the sea lions right alongside us.

I love this zoo! I came for the first time today and adored it. The size makes it charming, and if you forgo the 4d movie thing it’s only $14 a person and well worth it! I loved the tropic section which is nice and warming on a cold day, and the snow leopard, red pandas and grizzly bears were BEAUTIFUL to observe. I’m so happy to have gotten to see them! I love that this zoo is an accredited member of the association of zoo and aquariums because it reassured me that these animals are taken care of and treated very well. The zoo itself has to be held to high standards to be a member. I find this all the more reason to enjoy yourself here and enjoy a nice stroll through the zoo and then the rest of the beautiful Central Park.
