Great playground for kids from just walking to maybe around 8? My 5 year old loved it and we were there, and busy, for 1.5 hours. Beautiful setting, newer equipment, and a lot of variety.

This is such a beautiful park and such a meaningful part of this neighborhood. I have lived in this area And even though Im somewhere else now, I still come back here for the beautiful green grass and the water and the people. Parks like this are what make Minneapolis special. Its a great place to hang out or to exercise.

This park is awesome. Im from Salt Lake, and this is the size of some of our biggest (in city) parks. It was beautiful, and made for a great picnic. Four stars only because a few of the homeless camps were kind of trashy.

This park is great - I play pick up soccer and frisbee here, theres the amazing May Day parade - during COVID-19 distancing yourself from others is critical and there is TONS of space to pair off or host a small circle of friends. For me the kicker is the tennis courts - theyre well maintained, theres 4 of them, so most anytime youll be guaranteed a court immediately or with a short wait. The only issue with the tennis courts is that the high school nearby uses them after school during tennis season... good luck landing a court then...

This is such a nice and peaceful Park. I typically walk here anywhere from 1 to even four times a week even though I live two miles away. Its well worth the distance, and if youre on a walk anyway whats the big deal? Nearly every time I am here it is uncrowded and people are very respectful and friendly. Youll often see people walking their dogs or playing fetch. All the dogs are very friendly that I have run into here. There is a lot of waterfowl such as ducks and geese that fly in and out of the lake its enjoyable.

One of my favorite parks in Mpls. Great playgrounds! (Yes, plural. If you walk around the park there are 3 different playground sections. One with a pool.) Its a big park with lots of old trees. Its a big enough space to go for a scenic stroll and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Plus, they have a community center that offers pottery classes and other activities.

Powderhorn has got to be one of the cutest parks in Minneapolis, perfect for dates, walking dogs, hammocking, cycling, sitting, working out, sports, and more. We live just a few blocks away and this has been THE BEST park for us with a growing toddler. It has a bunch of different play areas targeting different activities and age ranges and the walk around the pond/lake is a really reasonable distance around for a quick bit of activity. We love that its got lots of areas of open grass, too, for picnics or just letting our 16 month old run around. Its also right around the corner from Mayday Cafe, which is such a cozy and wonderful neighborhood spot that always has a nice selection of baked goods and food we can grab for snacks.
