Waited in line forever at the gun permit office. My appointment was at 1125 and Im writing this at 1145. 5 people still in line ahead of me. This government does not respect your time, especially if you are a law abiding tax payer!

Secret gem amongst our midst! Not sure what the achitectural style is (rough hewn granite), but it boast a 4 sided clock bigger than Big Ben of London, and a magnificent (and BIG) marble sculpture in the foyer named Old Man Mississippi. The sculpture holds a stalk of corn (fitting for MN), and a crocodile?! Public building with an app based self guided audio tour. Who Knew?

Bandwagon jumpers. Seriously, who votes to disband a police force? Reform was a good idea, but yall just needed to have a knee jerk reaction.

Beautiful, historic, over 130-year-old Minneapolis City Hall is a place open to public, where you are welcome and where you should go and visit, whether you are a one-day tourist/visitor in the city or a native Minnesotan. You ask for a Self-guided tour brochure at an info desk and go around the magnificent building, getting to know its history and the present role as seat of the city authorities as well as some county offices like the Sheriffs department. Check the wonderful Rotunda with the huge marble sculpture of Mississippi - the Father of Waters and tiny mischievous faces by the elevators on ground floor. There is a good restaurant with hot sandwiches on ground floor behind the rotunda where the tunnel to the Henn. Co. Building starts.

At the heart of Minneapolis, City Hall strikes out as an original building of this bustling city surrounded by three 50 plus story skyscrapers. Coupled by the Hennepin County and US Courts buildings - plus the unique AT&T building from Ma Bell era.
