We stood in the parking lot while playing the song on you tube and followed along with the music on the wall. We were very surprised with what the song actually was. It such a wonderful song.

Loved it. Dylan was featured when we visited. Artist captured his energy and persona well. Made parking downtown ever so slightly more interesting.

Cool I suppose but dont your expectations too high. It is simply a very large wall painted white with music score on it.

It is pretty cool; I see it every week day as I am catching my bus home.

To answer the why of this wall, the painting was commissioned by Schmitt Music when this building was the company headquarters. The wall has appeared on calendars and posters world wide. There are photos of Prince standing, and a photo of Van Cliburn seated at a Steinway 9ft grand in front of the wall.

Neat to finally see it up close and read the history.

I am so glad the wall is being maintained even though Schmidt’s Music is no longer in the building. I look forward to passing it every summer on our way to Orchestra Hall for a Sommerfest concert while we are in the city for family business.

I have visited the Music Wall four times and every time it is a different experience. Stop by and take some pictures.

The best wall with Music on it that I’ve ever seen in my hometown. Truly black and white notes, but big.
