The Mississippi River runs through the park and along the walking trails its so pretty. Definitely one of the better parks Ive visited.
Nice park. Open green space, accessible trail by river, few places to hang up hammocks.
Nicely open area with plenty of space for games, dog walking, or events. Two homeless encampments have been created here as of Aug 2020, multiple portions of the park shut down/fenced in for this.
It took me 4 years to find this place while living in Minneapolis. I wish I knew about it earlier! Great space for relaxing, group fitness, solo runs through the park, kite flying, puppy walking, and picnicing. Bring a blanket and some snacks, it will make a great afternoon in the park!
This is possibly one of the best hidden gems in the cities. It reminds be of Central Park in NYC.
View of downtown Minneapolis, variety of activities possible, large trees, beautiful park space.
Nice location east of the river. It feels safe there.
Great area to walk through and around. Gorgeous setting by the Mighty Mississippi on Boom Island. Picnic areas and shelters. Parking on street is free, but not at parks lots. Can even rent kayaks from this locale.
Beautiful place.. I conducted a wedding there.
Especially lovely today to hear someone sitting on a park bench playing a saxophone
Good spot to ride scooters around! I swear you can go miles...better if you bring an off road scooter though...
Five stars because free parking!Great place to start a city adventure on bike or foot. Parking is limited, but quite a bit of street parking. I prefer this rather than driving around looking for parking at paid site and being a bit closer
I love it here. And I never been here like it is now I had tree, S the tressle and making sure we.did not kill the donkey walking all over. But it is very nice I will be going back
The walk paths are not safe way too icy and not taken care of. Otherwise during the summer it is a beautiful place
Huge park. Beautiful scenes. Diverse terrain. Canoes or kayaks to rent through online portal.
Great! Fun place to hang out. Covered cooking areas. Fishing. Lots of grass.Basically its an extension of Boom Island Park or vice versa.
We went to the #bravelikegabe memorial run and were SUPER impressed with how accessible this park was! Awesome views of the city, fun bridges, and plenty of green space. Will definitely be back!
Great place to visit. Park trails at this location connect to both Nicollet Island and Boom Island Park. Plenty of easy to access parking.
Very nice park
The park is nice enough theres just too many people, I grew up in the city but moved to a small town for this exact reason. People on every path people at every picnic table on every bench people running walking biking. Parking lot packed. Theres no peace and quiet anywhere because people are crawling all over the place Scenes like this remind me how glad I am I got the hell out
Once again really nice trails for walking or riding big and open park
My favorite hideaway when I need to take a nap.at lunch.
Very nice olace
Great park for open spaces. Run, walk the dog, watch fireworks, hookup with a date, seen it all at this park. It connects to Boom Island and the Mississippi with an easy access to launch a kayak or canoe. Crosa the bridge onto Nicollet Island and see DeLaSalle high school sports or stop into the Nicollet Inn. There is a small parking lot and plenty of space to be alone.
Loved it
But its a secret its the best quiet evening place to pause near DT.
Well tended. Took in some shade without concerns for the noontime.
Awesome
Awesome views! Fun park
Great place to watch fireworks on the 4th
Very much liked this place!
Nice peaceful neighborhood park with a Lake
Was nice to visit
Nice, well maintained park with biking and running paths along the Mississippi.
Open area, clean grounds, good for dogs and people
Great spot to hang out!
Is a nice park for a stroll!
Very nice and quiet park
Great park, but not when its 30 degrees out. Wind whips through the park. Would be great to spend a summer day here.
Nice views quiet park
Cool open park. Never very busy.
Great views. This park has monthly canoe storage available and hourly kayak rentals.
Beautiful and peaceful at night.
Pretty nice park, even better park for parking your car and walking downtown to avoid paying for parking (shh) (also take valuables out of your car duh)
Just try to plan your route accordingly so dont end up with dead end....but was nice adventure except that bear.
A great scenic veiw of mississippi river plenty of places to sit.
Nice park in the middle of the urban jungle. Very quiet in the early morning.
River views, wide open spaces, walking bridge to Nicollet Island, pleasant walk to St Anthony Main, Stone Arch Bridge and downtown Minneapolis.
Great park that is connected by trails to Boom Island
Beautiful views of downtown Minneapolis and quiet park. Also, BF Nelson park is connected to Boom Island.
