Our group, Twin Cities Wedding & Event Professionals, had our September events here at the Hennepin Theatre Trust. Our first morning event was held on the first floor studio, it worked really well for what we were doing with having an intimate gathering of people to listen to our speaker Alan Marshal. And our 2nd event took place up on the 3rd floor with around 75 guests and a catered lunch. We highly recommend this space.

Incredible rentable space. The upstairs meeting/concert venue is BEAUTIFUL! So much thought and funky touches are in this place and fill is with a classy charm. The business offices are tucked away to let the shared space in the building shine. Staff are kind, love the city, and more than helpful and forthcoming with information and fun facts. A little fun treasure on Hennepin.

Pretty rundown theatre (Hennepin). Went for a show recently, and there were hardly any signs to guide the rows/balconys unless you ask people to take off their elbows from the armrests. The staff were not very helpful either. Perhaps they might want to invest in labeling the rows so it can be more obvious where our seats are from a little distance. You cant have same row names and seat numbers in every balcony!

My favorite venues in MN. Perfect size, beautiful esthetics and thankfully, prices are still obtainable for most performances & shows.

A venue where theatergoers are treated like criminals. Unless you enjoy abuse, Id recommend staying away.

DO NOT buy a gift certificate for Hennepin Theatre Trust. First off, they charge $16.85 (???) for the gift card if you purchase online because it is through Ticket Master. Second, you cannot redeem online - you have to go Downtown Minneapolis to buy tickets (???). You have the option to mail your gift certificate in for tickets and then you get charged ANOTHER $8 PER TICKET. So before you have even spent money on actual tickets you are out of $32 for a set of two. And obviously if you mail in your ticket request you are rolling the dice for seat selection. The hassle and expense of purchasing / redeeming a gift certificate is mind-boggling.

I was one of the people willing to stand in line this morning for Hamilton tickets when it plays at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis later this year. I admit that I wasn’t really looking forward to the ticket buying experience. Having gone through it, however, I must say that it was so well organized and the staff was so friendly and helpful that it turned out to be a stress-free (even fun!) experience. There were enough staff scheduled to work, especially at the ticket purchasing stations, that the line moved more quickly than I anticipated once the clock struck 10:00. In fact, I could not think of any way they could have improved the experience from my perspective. I could definitely see that “this was not their first rodeo.” It was very nice to see staff in Hamilton t-shirts (and I’m inspired to buy one even though I’m generally not a souvenir t-shirt purchaser). I’m looking forward to seeing Hamilton AND many other performances offered by Hennepin Theater Trust.

Seeing Waitress was an interesting experience to say the least. Our seats were issued to a Dale Mason Section MF-1, Row H, Seat 11 which were then sold on Ticket Master. The issue with these seats was that they can put chairs in front of you in the the theaters attempt to maximize seating and they do this by adding chairs for people that cannot fit into the normal theater seating. In this case a large person was blocking out the view of the stage and had the chair so far back that i could not put my knees in between the seat and the back of the large persons chair. We called for help and the Manager had the person move the seat forward but that gave me just enough room to sit in my seat without touching the chair used by the large person. I also could not see over them because the chair was not as low as the stadium seating. An usher brought me a cushion but then that impacted the person behind me. I did not ask for a cushion so this issue must happen on a regular basis. Most of the time my view was obstructed as was the person sitting behind me.So my experience was very poor and I would be very careful when choosing your seat. It seems to me that Dale Mason who paid only $64.00 per seat and sold them through Ticket-Master for $284.16 (for the two seats) made a very good deal for himself as did the Orpheum Theater by maximizing the theater space at the expense of their clients.I hoe that this does not happen to anyone else but fear that it will because of the theaters need to manufacture seating with out regard to sight lines of the customer.

I was logged in and promptly waiting to buy a subscription today. I got all the way to the payment portion and was kicked out. 32 tries later, we were informed it was a website issue and to be patient. An hour later, they proudly announced the website was back up, only for me to learn my seats were gone and now there are literally NO seats available. I wasted all morning only to be told that THEIR error wouldnt be corrected and I lost the seats I spent two hours to procure. Unacceptable. Avoid.

Saw a great show, love this organization for both keeping theater alive in the city and also through donations making it available to people like me who can rarely afford to do stuff like this.

You are allowing Tomi Lahren - a racist, white power, commentator into your establishment and promoting her nonsense in Minneapolis, of all places.Has your management lost their minds? The fact you could host Neil DeGrasse Tyson this weekend then somehow she could even step foot into one of your establishments is beyond comprehension.Id rather forfeit tickets to Neil DeGrasse Tyson than step foot into a business which could support Tomi Lahren.
