Have you ever been to a park? Has this park been adjacent to a large free museum? Boy do I have a yarn to spin you! This place is a very large open space, perfect for a game of capture the flag or walking the dog!

Lots of benches out in this scenic park. If youre looking for a nice view of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts historic building, this is a wonderful place to go. Beautiful and well-kept! However, if youre looking to have a party or barbeque, look elsewhere: this park only has benches, no picnic tables. If you want something to eat off of, youll need to bring your own. Theres also a (very) small hill suitable for sledding in the winter!

Good for dogs. Excellent for evening confessions and setting boundaries with people you love. The view of MIA is calming and even a good reason to break eye contact every now and again.

I just read a review about being aware of occasional heroin needles being found in grass, though it was just one review, but still be ware.I liked the park solely due to its historical significance. This park once was William D Washburns grand residence which had close to 40 rooms. Nearby area also hosts many mansions such as Pillsbury mansions. All of them moved to this area which was back then outskirts of then city to build lavish homes.

This parks street perimeter seems to attract people who spend a great deal of time in their cars! Perhaps theyre living out of them, and waiting for the free meal to begin at a local church nearby. For the most part, the park is pleasant. Maybe keep an eye out for dog poop, broken glass, and the occasional heroin needle in the grass.

Pretty good park, sometimes. Cops usually patrol so its mostly safe. Be wary of homeless people though. Id avoid the park around holidays. My brother nearly got shot in the head by firework-wielding hobos.
