Beautiful little piece of paradise. This beach is small yet cozy. It’s kind of hidden and needs new stairs to reach the beach but the awkward descend is worth it.
Im not one that likes to give less than a 5 Star Review, however, when a less than Perfect status is deserved, it should be made known. Happened into El Pescador State Beach today with high hopes that it would be a decent beach with no real amenities other than the 3 Ss! Sand, Surf and Sun! Well, we got all 3, but in order to enjoy the Deliciousness, we had to take our lives into our own hands. The descent from civilization down to the beach has numerous pitfalls and areas where one can get hurt Really bad, or worse! The beach itself was rather peculiar with Wood Statues strewn throughout the area. As I write this we are just an hour or so before sunset, and hoping we will Live once we begin our trek back to the car. Incidentally parking here is $3/hour or $10/for the day. Being a State Beach, I certainly expected quite a bit better.
This beach is solid if you are looking for something a little less crowded on the weekends. It’s about a mile north of El Matador beach in Malibu and feels very private. Two things to note:1. There are somewhat rocky parts of the beach on the north side. Be careful when swimming over there. It’s completely safe you just have to be mindful of the rocks. The south side of the beach is less rocky.2. The last two times I’ve been the sand has had ants. Make sure you bring a good beach towel and cover any food you bring!Other than that El Pescador is simply beautiful. The way the water hits at sunset and how quiet it is. I can’t wait to go back and dive into the deep blue waves!
Paid parking is limited, but the beach is secluded. There are porta potty restrooms. You walk down a series of stairs to get to the beach. There are many rocks north and south of this beach. This beach was not as crowded as the south Malibu beaches. No lifeguard stations, but lifeguards drive there occasionally to check. Be careful not to park in a No Parking Zone if you park out on the highway.
El Pescador beach is very small and has a very private feeling to it. Everybody kept their distance and kept it quiet. It also had a very fresh breeze that made the heat very bearable.
Favorite beach. Never too crowded. Fun to go at night.
Beach access consists of many many stairs .. parking lot is small and there seems to be a lot more seaweed in this area. But its a cozy spot.
Incredibly quiet and peaceful beach. I found this because Matador was surprisingly crowded and kept driving down the road. What a nice surprise.
It was great. A good place to work out up and down the small tiered walkway down to beach!
Great view. Small parking lot full, but plenty of parking on PCH
Fun, fun, fun! The walk down was kind of hard but worth it.
Beautiful, slightly hidden beach. There is a bit of a walk down to it so strollers and stuff like that will not be able to get to the beach without way to much work. The beach itself is small and surrounded by rocks so it can get packed quickly. The parking lot here will make you pay and the lot is also extremely small. Better to just park on the street and walk down to it. But its a nice beach, and you might just see some dolphins!
Nice small beach. Small parking lot and the walk down is a steep.
First time in this beach and ran into G-Easy. Also the beach is very nice. Good views perfect for pictures picnic and a chance to run into a celebrity. Thank you g-eazy for taking your time for quick pics and good time for the fam
Such an incredible wedding and event venue. Ocean views from every room. A real Malibu estate.
Hard to get to from parking lot. Nice views.
Such a great quiet spot. Old school hang out.
Spent most of the day in this area the dog and I just had a great time we met a lot of very neat people and had some great conversations everybody weve met in California has been extremely friendly personable and intelligent its been a great staywe stayed till the sunset what a View
Good place
Got sunburned. Will be back
Wonderful beach. Minimal amenities. The access trail down to the beach, and more so back up, can be physically challenging. Make sure you pay attention to parking cost and have a payment stub on your dashboard
Nice place to get away
Its the ocean how can you put less then 5 stars?
Nice little crescent beach with easy parking & great rocks on the north end.
Beautiful beach on the pacific coast. The drive along the beach was awesome. Totally picturesque . If you visit LA , do drive along the coast at least till Santa Barbara, you wont regret it.
While it is a very secluded beach, it was no fun at all. The stairs on the way down were destroyed so we had to climb down the cliff for parts of the journey. It was very windy which threw sand at us. Would have rather gone to a different beach.
Its an amazing place. Id recommend anyone to go there if you like the beach.
Beach was beautiful. You have to park your car up and there is a steep path to go down. Unfortunately our car and another car were broken into...:-(
Small and secluded!
Small but nice beach
Very quiet and beautiful walking beach. Little bit of a steep climb down.
Nice and cozy
A small and cosy laguna beach. Not windy! It is usually empty on weekends when the other beaches are crowded. You can always find some wildlife like crabs and anemons in the rocks to explore.
Very nice but lots of holes along the path to get down to the beach. Not wheelchair accessible.
Nice beach area. Parking is limited and it cost $10/day. You have to hike down from the parking area. The view is spectacular and sunset is just perfect.
Lovely corner
Nice ocean view, but a dirt path to beach, elderly may have some problems. Not handicap friendly.
Awesome, not too crowded, saw a pod of dolphins and some tide pools
What a great place to relax, have a picnic, and relax. If you want to catch some good waves and enjoy reasonable temperatures and great pictures, then come to pescador. I love this beach specifically, what a place to make memories and enjoy this California weather!
Dangerous stairway, and beach is engulfed during high tide. Too many flys and dead jellyfish most of the summer. Also the surfers there are rude. Once someone told me and my wife, Locals only. Go to Zuma ya kooks. I think his name was war child.
Nice beach
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Love it here.
Loved it.
Beautiful
A little bit of a drive, but well worth it.
Great beach if youre looking for privacy. No lifeguards and fairly small area but it rarely gets crowded. Surfing is okay. Plenty of other spots have better waves but also more people
Beautiful and breathtaking come to mind describing this beach. Very remote and almost virgin like, you wont find many crowds here, which for me is a plus. Huge waves rock against the shore. Its a piece of California paradise.
Beautiful view.
Not to many people
Picturesque little beach that doesnt get too crowded even in the summer El Pescador is popular with local artists and surf fisherman. Small paid parking lot and free parking on PCH get full fast, so come early on weekends. A couple of picnic tables and one portable bathroom are the only facilities.
Not very crowded, short coastline and a lot of algae.
Needs some beautification. The garbage detracts from the views.
So beautiful!!!! I suggest you bring friends!!!
I love the trails leading from the road to the water. Its like a nature walk.
Love this beach, amazing sunsets
My reason for 2 because the stairs going down or up was very hard climbing need to be fix Like yesterday
Went fishing in a two person raft- caught lots of fish and enjoyed the beauty of El Pescador
Amazin
Nice
It sucks here cant do nothing.. No swimming no grilling no smoking no drinking whats the point
Love it
One of the nicest beaches around LA
Another one of Malibus hidden gems. This beach is clean and not too busy. Rock formations and wildlife make it a great way to spend the day.
Very good view
Its not crowded
Parking is not free. But easy to find. Small and private.
Small area, but nice place to relax for two to three hours without being crowded. .. the parking lot is too expensive and the portable toilet is in a bad conditions
One of my favorite pocket beaches. A hidden treasure.
Beautiful views
Great place
Absolutely beautiful!!
I was a first time visitor to Californias west coast beaches . I was awed by the beauty . $8.00 to park but plenty of available spaces. Found seaglass on the bch and alot of beautiful stones. Met alot of very cool kite surfers who were very stoked about the westerly winds...very family oriented. Amazing visit ... love the Pacific Ocean and Californias west coast.
Used to be a great Beach to go almost any day of the week, now its getting more and more packed and the stairway down to the beach is crumbling.
Privacy, never over crowded, beautiful, tide pools.
Busy place but nice! #iloveitontop
Caught a nice rock fish from the surf.
Good dinner
So fortunate to have this much coast available to the public.
Quiet beach, nice views not crowded. Limited parking, paid parking in lot, free parking on PCH.
So cold!!!
Loved it .
Parking was available with a fee.
Beautiful
So beautiful this wonderful beach!
