A quick drive north on 27th Street. Gravel roads to this hidden and little known gem. White-rocked parking area, mowed trails, thats it! No facilities, a few foot bridges, and all the wild wind and prairie you can breath in. Dogs love it! (Keep them on lead). The sky goes on forever...

Lots of trails. We bring our dogs out here and walk them, they love it. We tend not to go during tick season because they are out there and they are everywhere.

Watch out for ticks. This is our favorite place to hike and we’ve been here dozens of times, it is incredibly beautiful. Dog got about 50 ticks there yesterday on the mown trails. Would not recommend taking your dog there this time of year.

Gotta say, I thought it was great. Theres a bridge and a lookout. Nice looking prairie scenery. After my dad and I got finished walking the dogs, I got back in the car and noticed I was covered head to toe in ticks!!! I spent the whole rest of the day finding ticks.

This is a great little find in North Lincoln. Its not big, but the scenery is pretty! There are mown trails to walk on, not great for strollers, but perfect for little legs! Theres a great bridge and two overlooks! A great find for our family!

We have traveled to FSM several times now. Just past I-80 27th Street jogs right and if you take a quick left (still on 27th street) you come to the first part of the park on both sides of the road. There are benches to sit and enjoy the view and sounds. You can see a couple of solar panelsrising above the marshland and some sort of pump attached to a tube submerged in the soil. This Park is part of the city of Lincoln parks system. Its large and spans lots of area. Its not likemost parks in Lincoln in that there is no traditional city park playgrounds or ball fields. Forwalking and discovery, consider taking a closer look at Frank Shoemaker Marsh.
