Nice lake. Lot of swans and ducks to look at. Parking on the side of the street. The ducks are friendly, not scare of you at all. Theres a food dispenser if you want to feed the ducks, and swans. There are a variety of ducks there. Nice place for a little walk.

A great place to get in touch with nature. Lots of bird that you can feed. The swans are majestic. There are even food dispensing machines for a quarter. Just a little piece of nature in the city.

This is a little piece of paradise located within city limits. A lot of fowl life. Take yourself and your kids down to Lake Morton and feed the ducks. Be kind to the wildlife and dont let your kids, dog or yourself chase or harass the ducks. Please mind the speed limit around the lake...20 mph.Lakeland invests in itself (i.e. Parks and Recreations) so that families have safe, beautiful places to gather.

Beautiful! I take the kids every time were in Lakeland. The only problem I found this time as one of the feeders was out of food and the children took too long to realize and lots of money. But other than that it was absolutely a joy.

Outstanding place for bird watching in the city of Lakeland FL. The city owns and rises some of the swans. Good for a slow walk around the lake. Some benches and tables. Highly recommended

I loved it. There is a very nice park all the way around the lake. I like the fact that no homes or buildings are right on the lake. They are built on the opposite side of Lake Morton Drive so you get a completely unobstructed view of the lake.

I feel like this review is preaching to the choir, but it is quite a beautifully scenic spot to take a stroll, observe and interact with nature. They have coin operated feed boxes, so please no bread as it is not good for them. There is an odor as there are large congregations of many species of birds....but a worthy trade off for such a lovely place to pass the time.

Quaint lake in the Lake Morton Historic District. The Lake is loaded with avian wildlife including mute swans that are descendants of a pair that were gifted to the City by the Queen of England back in the 1950s. A short walk away from Florida Southern College that houses the largest collection of commercial building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and the Polk Museum of Fine Art.

Lake Morton is a beautiful small lake. It is about a mile around and has lots of swans, ducks, and birds of all kinds, so it is a fun place to bring a loaf of bread and you will quickly be surrounded by feathered friends. There are park benches and some picnic tables scattered around the lake. On one end of the lake, the library and Polk art museum are located. Mister Fish is right across from the library, so you can grab some lunch and enjoy it at a bench by the lake. On the opposite end of the lake, the downtown Lakeland area is just a few block walk, so you can head to some shops or restaurants. Be aware that there is no sidewalk right next to the lake, you need to use the sidewalks on the opposite side of the street, or walk through the grass by the lake. Lake Mirror is also just a few blocks walk from here, so you can enjoy that lake and Hollis Garden.
