Social distancing and sanitary procedures are maintained. Plenty of parking. The displays are well presented, along with historical & ecological information. Trails are well maintained, clearly marked with adequate signage. You can easily spend half a day here, thought its diversified enough for a day tour. Conveniently located. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and informative.

Beautiful place.

The Polk Nature Discovery area has been a field trip for our summer day camp students for two years now. Our students, age 6 through 10, all find this a wonderful trip (their parents do too!) and they learn a lot thanks to the amazing staff. The Rangers know the material and they know how to match it to the childs level. They are patient, kind, flexible, and really raise the awareness of how important it is to care for our environment. Our students learn appreciation of wildlife and nature thanks to the staff of Polk Discovery Center.
