I take my children year everytime Im in Lakeland. They love it. Its an amazing place. It is very clean, the staff is always friendly and they always have new things for the kids to explore. 3 floors of fun!!! Anyone in Lakeland should get a pass or visit when in town! Plus, during the holidays, their front windows are decorated and its out of this world BEAUTIFUL!

Took our 4 year old there with his preschool class and they all loved it. There are 3 stories, although the third story is small and didnt have too much to offer, the kids could have easily spent hours longer playing. My son especially loves playing in the orange juice factory on the lower level. There is also a few activities for adults that kept us entertained.

My husband and I stopped by to inquire about a birthday party for my grandson 1st birthday. The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable. They invited us to explore and take a look at what the museum has to offer. They did not rush us or anything. We talked about the different activities as well as the tutoring programs they offer. We were very impressed so we booked it.

We live in the Tampa area and had no idea that downtown Lakeland was so nice. We stopped in a the Childrens Museum for 1 1/2 hours. My four children had a great time and didnt want to leave, but we were on our way to Orlando to meet someone. I liked all the wall art. My children liked the orange themed play area, the instruments and video games. This is a nice place for a few hours combined with a visit to one the restaurants and shops that are on the same street.

When I was a boy this building was the Kress store. I am so thankful that this piece of Lakeland’s history has been preserved in such a creative way. In recent years my nieces and nephews have enjoyed exploring the three levels of exhibits. It is located on beautiful Munn Park.

We had a birthday party here and they actually let you show up early or stay later than the designated party time. Which is super nice of them! We didnt feel rushed. It was affordable and all of the kids had a great time. They ranged in age from 3-12 and everyone left exhausted and wanting to come back! There are a lot of hands on activities and a little reading area if anyone needs a break. The best part is the orange tree playground thing on the bottom floor and a mini Publix!

Our kids had so much fun here, they didn’t want to leave even after 4 hours. We’re vacationing in the Orlando area, and looked for things they could enjoy. At their young ages this was a much better experience then any of the big parks. Highly recommend!!

I took my son here in Oct and he loved it. He is 2 years old and really enjoyed playing there. The place is a little run down though and needs some updating. The price is a little high for what you get. Ages 2 and up is $9 each. I can understand that for the kids but as a parent that didnt do anything but watch my kid I felt that was too much. Also you arent allowed any drinks, it has to stay at the front desk and absolutely no food is allowed. This wouldnt have been an issue for me had they mentioned that on the website but we brought lunch with us and had to sit outside on the sidewalk and eat it.There was a (sort of) breastfeeding area, which is a chair in the corner of the tot area with a curtain. Better than nothing I guess. The staff wasnt helpful at all, I had no idea where the activities were or showed where the elevator was.All in all it was a cute little place for my son to run around at for a few hours but it needs some cleaning up and needs to show on the website that food/drink isnt allowed .

I was hesitant to go because my baby is only 8 months. However it was a great stop for us. The 2nd floor is where he had the most fun...the tot spot is being remodeled. I do agree that the whole place needs a good cleaning and remodel. For $4 it was not bad.

My family stopped here for a 2 hour break from the car while driving to Disney world. This was a fun experience! Theres lots to do with my two kids, 1 and 3 y/o. I especially enjoyed playing with them at the large play grocery store. It wasnt crowded during the week when we went which was another big plus. Highly recommend, especially for the price.

They have numerous interactive exhibits set up for the kids to play with. Some of them are: theater, doctors office, a newsroom, a grocery store, a school room and an orange juice factory. There is a cockpit of an airplane and a working fire engine. All very clever ideas.

Recently while visiting family in Lakeland we took 4 of our grandchildren to visit your museum. Their ages range from 1 1/2 years old to 11. All 4 of them had a blast!!!!! We spent 3 1/2 hours there and they didnt want to leave! They especially loved the orange grove. They shopped at the market and put on a play at the theatre. The two oldest loved the news room and studio. The 6 year old loved the space ship and fire truck. And the baby loved climbing up into the tree house and reading books with Grandma. I was impressed with how well the facility was kept up. I would love to see something like this in the town where we live. Maybe...

Kids loved it but...... needs some extreme updating and to be deep cleaned. It’s super dusty and musky inside each floor esp the top floor. Exhibits need updating and cleaning and to be replaired etc. idk to me it wasn’t worth the $20 to spend for my son and I to go play at for a few hours. Our allergies were killing us the entire time. But again, the kids really enjoys playing here. There is lots for them to do. Staff was super nice and helpful with all questions etc.

People beware when they say “Children under 2 free” they really mean children under 1 . For what they have left over now from the first time I went, they overcharge.

Review №32

Not a good experience at all. There were way too many children not being supervised with no shoes on and being reckless to the museum and other children. Unfortunately the only staff person insight was sitting at the front counter on their phone. Such a sad thing for a small business in Lakeland with so many generous people and organizations donating to them.

Really good for younger kids. My youngest is 8 1/2 and she was too big for some of the activities. The Publix area is ok. Some things in the news area dont work. No chalk in school area either time we went. The third floor didnt have much of interest. The orange floor was barely ok.

It is OK for younger kids. Pricey if you pay full price for a 1 time visit. I would not bring my kids again unless it was free.
