It’s a great little museum...They have a pretty good collection and interesting temporary exhibits.Much more enjoyable experience than some other more well known museum in the area (I’m looking in the direction of Tampa)!

I had about 30 minutes to spare before a real estate business gathering by the library so I popped into the PMOA to see Taylor, the Membership Director, and to take a tour of one of the new exhibits. First, Taylor is fabulous - so kind, helpful and generous with her time. The museum is clean and inviting and the exhibits are fascinating. Lakeland is lucky to have such a wonderful art resource. I would highly recommend a visit.

Very nice....tidy 1st class exhibits

My experience was great. Very pleasant welcome from reception area and got a map. Some of the darker impressionist paintings I connected to, others were nice nature environments. There was also metal pieces about the movement of nature. It was a highlight of my trip. Some feedback that might improve the experience is, it could use more art that challenges perspectives and perhaps offends a bit. Certain areas of the museum arent utilized and more could be added. Upstairs as well was a bit confusing to navigate and had few galleries.Edit: I returned on 12/14/19 and it was much improved. Paintings and sculptures had a written description from the artist giving their perspective to help you realize what motivated them. Highly recommend.

Great museum. Nicely laid out with great art. Free admission which makes a great afternoon visit.

Seeing such up and coming talent from our local high schools was fantastic. They are impressive and I encourage everyone to take time to visit

The art at Polk Museum of Art with FSC has opened up minds for a while. Richard Haas’ amazing view of the masters of art is scintillating. Wow! One peaks into a hole in a wall and your world gets blown away. Hold on! It’s that awesome.

What a nice little gem in Lakeland ! We have so many! My favorite piece ever was a glittered Marilyn Monroe piece (not using proper art term ) love the history behind this place and the events hosted

The tour guide we had for a school field trip was HORRIBLE. She has no concern for elementary school kids, she yells and is disrespectful. I even witnessed her putting her hands on a kid to push her away from leaning on the wall....really rude

Soooooooooo impressed. Degas, Renoir, Cassant, Sargent, etc. Cant make it overseas? Exhibit ends Oct 13th. Nice!

Its a real gem here in Lakeland. Some exibits are permenant but most change periodically. The Curator and staff also conduct talks on the new exibits.Call ahead or stop by and pick up a brochure on upcoming events! And of course, dont forget to stop by the gift shop!!

The Polk Museum of Art is a community treasure! Bringing art and culture from around the globe, The Polk Museum at Florida Southern features exhibits that provide viewers with opportunities to view art from other major museums and collections.

Really enjoyable cultured museum one should visit if visiting or living in lakeland. Plenty of variety for all ages.

I love this place, I have been taking my daughter here since she was small so she could grow up loving art. Its free and lovely, new art is exhibited quite often.

A nice place to spend an afternoon. Hot tip! You will probably be confronted if you have your phone out while looking at the exhibit, because they dont want people taking photos of the art. Obviously. :)

Wow! Three floors of Impressive. Acheaology Amazing that they found all of these artifacts. $5.00 during the week, worth the price. Free all day Saturday. Gorgeous Holiday greeting cards in the gift shop. Nice, friendly staff. And Awesome art created by The Southern Floridas University college students that change every month or so, totally worth a look. Love it! And the library is right in the same parking lot, cant go wrong there for two or three hours out. Great place for Archealogy lovers like me, only wish they had a sit down cafe inside. (I have to edit a correction:. That is The Southeastern Florida University)

Very nice staff. Very fun to check out every now and then. I love the local childrens art displays.

The museum is amazing but the employers are even better. I had a problem with a paper and Tom print it out for me. It was like my Xmas present. Without his help and that paper my last day around Lakeland and Florida would have been terrible. Thank you so much for your understanding and behave.

The museum has a wonderful display of students art that never fails to amaze. The Material World is fascinating and makes a fine contrast to the contemporary art displayed downstairs. I love the friendly staff and the treasure-filled store, too.

We had a great time at a recent event. Art off the Wall with Freddiedance project eas a great experience! I would definitely attend more events here.

Polk County had a great place to explore and learn here.

Embarrassing. They need more art. Ive seen better from a third grade class. I dont like to dis a museum of art but wow. So sparse. So bad. The store was great. The graffiti artist was cool.

Took a lady friend there to look around. There were no hockey games or football games. on so I left. If it werent for low class Id have no class at all.

Free, but not a lot to see. Real great exhibit on the second floor of a worldwide family survey and photos. Hope they finish the other two galleries soon.

Really nice selection of art though wish there was more to view. When I visited, seemed to have mostly art by local elementary students. Currently theres a HUGE graffiti exhibit that is a MUST SEE!

I called the museum 4 different times. I have been trying to get ahold of someone to see if they have what I need for a school project. Three of the times, the phones directed me to a full voicemail. The 4th time, I got ahold of someone named JUDY and she immediately hung up on me as soon as I said hi. I heard the phone slam. Im trying to see if they have what I need before I drive over there. Forget it, if thats how they answer their phones then, Ill go somewhere else. Rude as hell..

My daughter received a 2nd place award for her tag art! It was amazing, so were all the people and the museum was awesome!

Really wonderful to see something like the students of Rembrandt shown in a midsize museum like PMA. Thats the kind of thing that makes a midsize museum stand out.Figures in American Art and the association with FSC are also brilliant. Go museums!

Small. It was free though. I am planning on going back without the kids so I can look at the pictures at my pace.

Current gallery shows include The Figure in American Art and a collection of graduates of Rembrandts Art Academy (who are Dutch and Flemish Masters in there own rights.) A must see!!
