It’s a little confusing the first time you park at the trailhead because it’s tucked away in a neighborhood, but as soon as you walk up the hill you’re greeted by incredible views of the lake and mountains. You can make it a short hike to the boardwalks or continue to Lake Perseverance
Id rate this trail as moderate. The forest service took good care of the trail. It was a smooth hike for 2/3 of it. The last leg you have to find your way up in the mud, but is an adventure without obstacles! Once you reach the summit, it is a nice view of the Carlina lake and the other side is the Lake Perseverance. Two lakes in between a mountain! What more can you ask for? Overall it was a great experience. The big cliff on the side of the mountain was something see.
Amazing place. Made a beautiful day
Someone asked if you could bike this trail Ive only hiked the southern most section of this Trail the black line near the bottom of the map. I wouldnt recommend it past the lake dam.
Amazing hike, great places to sit and enjoy the natural area. Good spot to go and catch and release some trout too.
Super fun. Easy access.
Good hike close to town
