I’m happier here than I have been anywhere else in a really long time. It’s QUIET, peaceful, and I love my mobile home. My kids are really happy. Erica has always gone above and beyond the norm to help and got us WiFi installed. I’m very thankful to be here.

I love living here. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I have seen huge changes since I moved in a year ago. Cant wait to see whats next.

I will be turning in my paperwork for renting here in a couple days. I will tell you its a good fit for us. You can actually feel life there and omg the children there is wonderful. This place has changed ALL for the better

Ive been here now at LA Casita Home Park for 3 1/2 years. Since Ive been here they have done major improvements.They staff are very friendly and take the time out to assist any of my needs. The place looks great. I enjoy living here.

Erica Whittmeyer property manager at La Casita Mobile Home Park scammed me out of $2400 recently. She took $2000 down payment from me towards purchase on a mobile home she claims she owns. Plus $400 for lot fee for October for the home at 3318 Bristol Ave Kansas City MO at La Casita Mobile Home Park. Today she claims she sold the home to another person a week now before I was to move in and she is refusing to refund my down payment of $2000 or the $400 lot fee. I am complaing to the FBI scam department and filing a small claims lawsuit against Erica and La Casita. ---- in reply to La Casitas response here I was not making payments. I was in the process of purchasing a mobile home from Erica Witmeyer the property manager who took $2000 down payment from me for purchase of her home on Bristol Ave. However she sold the home to someone else and refused to return the $2000 down payment to me. Erica did show me two homes owned by La Casita in June and that day showed me her mobile home for sale. A detective at the Economic Crimes Unit in Kansas City says since she was employed at La Casita when showing me homes then La Casita is responsible in certain ways for her activities on the property. It has been suggested to me that this is a crime. A sort of fraud to take a down payment and not return the down payment if there is no sale. I am filing a lawsuit against Erica and LaCasita as recommended to me by KC Housing Authority and KCPD if she does not return my down payment very soon plus the $400 lot fee I paid for October as Erica lead me to believe I would be buying her home and required to pay the lot fee. Economic Crimes Unit has asked me to submit the evidence related to this alleged crime, emails and texts to KCPD for investigation.---- Seems that the person responding to this review is Erica Whitmeyer using the property owners Google account to make libelous statements about me.

Shelly has been great to work with when choosing our new home. Ive known and worked for the community for a couple of years now and I could tell the positive changes that has taken place . I truly believe Shelly has done a great job in cleaning up the community, if I did not believe this we would not have just moved here and I would not have accepted the maintenance position here . My family and I are very happy here. Thank you Shelly, youre the best.

I have friends that live in this park. I think the new manager Shelly is going an outstanding job. This park had needed a tough manager. The park looks great. She had really cleaned up the place. I have talked to several residents and they said she is always asking us to clean up our yards. Well thats her job. It was really just a trailer park until Shelly came. It is now a mobile home community. I think the residents that are complaining are just lazy. Great job Shelly keep it up..

Looked at two nice little trailer home price not too bad but prices are high all over

We paid to move in on the 1st of the month didnt get to move in tell the 13th and it was there fault the lights could not be turned on because the meater was stolen and the gas line needed moved because of the hook up was not where it needed to be then on top of that our sewer has been backed up for weeks and they said we could have our dogs but now we are being kicked out i mean my son is 7 months old could not give him a bath beacuse the sewer was backed up in our was backed up into the bath tub the did not fix it and they are rude when you are stating facts there house was not in a bad shape and the sewer smell is out side i would not let my worse enemy live there

The Park Manager has worked with the agency to place a potential resident. The Park is looking better now than it has in years. The manager is very strict yet compassionate. She tries very hard to maintain the integrity of the Park and yet work with residents.

Shelly is one of the most hardworking, never sleeping, people I know. She will not sleep until the job is complete and has her approval. It has been great working with her and watching her change the park into greatness

Okay to start off the manager Shelly is amazing!! She goes far beyond to help all residents in everything she can. She checks on the elderly who live in the community to make sure they are doing fine. She is always encouraging all residents to come into her office whenever they have an issue. I have lived in this park for almost 3 years now and the park has never looked so good. She is working very hard in getting the park the best it can be. I have read some of the reviews and honestly cannot see why anyone would call her a racist. The people that have been having these issues with her is because one they dont pay their rent or they were told to keep their yards clean. I do not know why such a small issue can escalate to so much. Its just as simple as to following the rule no one wants to live in a place that does not look clean. I think this is just common sense, also just pay your rent no one will let you live for free anywhere you go! As you can see by name lol I am Hispanic and really get along with Shelly. I specially love that she is always out driving around checking that everything is fine. The lighting issue had been a problem since before Shelly even arrived at the park and while shes been here she has actually put some more lights around the park.I really love living here and as a mother of 2 I really enjoy the our manager is actually out and about and trying to meet every resident and their children. Keep up the amazing work Shelly. You are amazing as a manager and as a human being.

This place is a very affordable. Ive been living here for about 2 years and I am very pleased with the management. It is a very quiet community and has great location.Shelly is the new management and has improved the park so much since shes been here. I love to see her out in the park working on things! Its refreshing to see an enthusiastic face in the office.

Ive been a home owner here for a number of years. Watched ups and downs of the park with ownership changes. Park is on a nice upswing last couple years. Lots of infrastructure improvements. Some new homes coming in and lots more neighbors showing pride in their homes. Management team is quick to respond to any issue big or small. Friendly and helpful maintenance staff. I can get anywhere in the city quickly from here. Freindly neighbors, safe, and quiet. Come check it out and see for yourself.

I have lived here 2yrs and i like it. My only problem with this place. NO INTERNET!! I personally have contacted every provider in townAT&TSPECTRUMXFINITYGOOGLETIME WARNERThey all said NO. I mean inmates in prison get internet. guess we have to go to prison just get decent isp (internet service provider)

Lived here for 4 years, terrible place because it went under new management 3 times and the regulations changed soooo often. Nobody could keep up with the rules because they were related to trash disposal and porch cleanliness and whatnot. Im glad I left.

Good afternoon i live in La Casita for 8 years. Never have we had problems like now. Theres a management problem that needs to be fixed immediately. SHELLY THE MANAGER is not qualified to be manager because doesnt not fix any problems since shes always being rude and has digusting behavior. She is racist and people cant speak properly with her she gets alterated . Its urgent to have a confrence or a meeting or something to fix these problems . I am not the only resident wanting to speak up .

My experience has been very pleasant. The management was very friendly and professional. I looked at a couple of homes and found a real affordable , gently used home. Ive been here a couple days and its so quiet here I feel like Im in the country lol. I look forward to living here.

LIES LIES LIES the new manager is a racist and blunt about it I had a $1300. Money order to move in Sep 1 and she said We will not take you or your money order qoute because you do not have an application now mind you she at this time had my money order. I showed her my fee receipt for the application. I had past the back ground check. She did not want to speak with just at me she also made me miss 2 days of work. But thats OK because she will not last, some one will tell her off one day. Just happy got my money order back. Just a hateful old woman that has never known love.

Manager Shelley Livengood is rude and loud she hangs up on people who live here in community and also starts physical altercations with them. Calling them out of their house to fight. Also the lighting here is scary there is not enough lighting and we now have people doing drivebys in the community. Also the sewer has been a problem for a very long time on my block and nothing has ever been done about it. Moving soon.

I have been in the community 15+ years. I have seen good and I have seen bad management. The management now is improving. The park has a hopeful prosperous beginning. One of the greatest features is that we are multi-cultural community and everyone helps everyone else.I feel most everyone wants the same thing to live in a place that you can be proud of. We welcome everyone to La Casita Mobile Home Park and be part of our family.Thank goodness that our new management is taking our park seriously and we see new improvements daily.

This goes to everyone on the management team and ownrs.....the one star rating was noting but short of a accident do to a Google maps experience I had coming back from Kansas City Kansas..I am not a resident at this fine park but i have dearest and wonderfull friend who live in the resort and she is very please with staff and landlord she never once had to complain about any issues the truth matter is she hasnt had any yet and do believe that from a well ran park so if my friend is happy then im happy it differently a 5start review for me yet again sorry about the mix-up and keep up the good work......Thank you

Shelly works so hard to help you find your forever home!!!!

I have lived here since May of 2016. This place has good potential if the owners invested a little more love and care into this community by adding street lights and by picking up the trash. I love my home and try to take care of it, but pulling into the park is depressing when I see trash and overgrown grass on almost every street. Hopefully new management will make this place shine like the diamond that it can be

Need a pool here and a work out center and bigger play ground but overall this is a great place to live

I moved from California and after staying with my cousin, I was able to buy my own place.I have been in this park for few months and I LOVE IT, ME ENCATA. My kids go to the local schools and many people take the city bus right outside the community. My kids enjoy living here with so many other kids.We have many Hispanics in this community and this is a great location with everything so close!!!

A wonderfully diverse quiet community. New & updated homes grace this beautifully upkept community. A very conscientious manager is on top of the visual of this community, come take a look & become a part of this neighborhood, youll b glad u did. New homes, laundry accessibility for tenants (Bluetooth app), internet accessibility, hear & see fire works from the stadium, staff responds to tenants needs, shares resources, & design community gatherings for children & families. U can also get to expressways & shopping districts from your home in less than 10 minutes & KCI in 26 minutes or less.

It was very good until the woman who is right now entered by manager a very racist and very problematic woman

La casita is real back place stolen you money and change the price the manager is ogly woman no like spanish people

They brought in a tree trimming crew. The crew left. Deadfall limb came down I am lucky to NOT be walking to or from my car when it finally came down.

I have loved living here for almost 3 yrs. I also used to be manager. Wonderful neighbors and community here. Also its about 80% hispanic. 5 stars!!! Buen comunidad y buena gente! 5 estrellas!
