Gorgeous park, I love that it’s easy to access regard of your physical ability at the time. Super informative for people of all ages with signage in animals, wildlife, and water systems. Great playground fenced in playground near the parking lots with picnic tables and restrooms available. They’ve recently updated some trails to no bikes or dogs but there are still plenty of options for people with dogs or bikes, and it makes for a nice quiet hike if you don’t have either ️

This is a great place to spend some time. There are a lot things for children to do. Its a great place to take a walk or run and even bicycle. Park is kept up very well and they do offer clean restrooms. Nice place to have a picnic and barbeque. Plenty of places to throw out the trash. They also have recycling bins on the property.

My favorite park in Greenville County. Wetlands are a rare and priceless ecosystem. Its wonderful to me that this park is privately operated through donations so make sure to contribute some money from time to time. The park is diligently maintained and kept clean and accessible to all. There are also educational signs posted throughout to brinf awareness to the surroundings. Please stop by!

I really enjoyed my walk with my dogs at this nature preserve. The trail is paved which is nice, and the scenery is great. I like the educational informative signs along the way. It was a last minute decision to stop by while on vacation in Greenville. I am glad that I did. Its one of the best ways to get in touch with nature and not having to walk through the woods. Look up into the trees for bird nests when you are talking the trail. There is no place to dispose used poop bags. Be prepared to carry it home. We walked about 2/3 of the trail and that was 1 mile one way, 2 miles both way. I estimate that this trail is 1.5 miles one way.

Lake Conestee Nature Preserve, located at Conestee Park on Mauldin Road between Greenville and Mauldin, South Carolina, is absolutely amazing. The park is built on the old Greenville Braves Stadium property. It is home to ball fields, play grounds, a dual dog park, and walking paths The Nature Preserve hosts many nature and biking trails. The scenery along to nature trail is breathtaking. Much to see in the way of fauna and flora alike. It ties in with a section of the Swamp Rabbit Trail, which eventually will be connected to the main Trail that currently runs from Greenville to Travelers Rest. Give this place a try, you wont be disappointed!!

I love nature and the scenery here at any time of the year! Its many bridges and the Conestee lake so bueatiful and well maintained walking trails are the best in this area. Plenty of parking and bring your well behaved fur babies along with your own poopy bags as theirs are always empty if your not at their dog park. Love the nature walking trail here!

Dog park, playgrounds for small and big kids, picnic shelter with grills, restrooms, and lots of trails to walk, Lake Conestee is a great place to visit for some nature time. I love taking my dog there to walk. My company had a work picnic there last year (pre-COVID) and it was perfect for our needs. Fair warning though, its a popular spot on the weekends.

I love Lake Conestee for a number of reasons. One they have a great fenced off area for the kids to play additionally they have a wonderful dog park that separates small dogs from large dogs so you can feel safe with your small canines. Last but not least I absolutely love the trails and all the upgrades they’ve done in the last couple of years have done nothing but improve this wonderful location and easy access to a beautiful wetlands, marsh and wildlife sanctuary.

Up until today, this would be a 5 star review of this park. As a dog trainer, I have always loved coming to this park for the ability to get some quality training in with my dogs. I love walking the nature trails throughout, and to be quite honest, without my dogs, it would be very difficult to even get up in the mornings, let alone go for a nice long hike. But today was a bit different. Several times during the hike, we were stopped and informed by some middle aged ladies with badges, who told us that the inner trails of the park were off limits to dogs now and dogs are only aloud to walk the outer trail of the park. I have several major issues with this, and I would like to list these issues out...1. The obvious issue is that this park is a very popular park for dogs in general. There is a very nice dog park across the lot from the hiking trails. Im sure lots of people like to go from the park to the trails on a regular basis. To restrict the trails that my dogs are aloud on quite honestly feels discriminating. Im not sure why this sudden change in rules was made, but if there was an incident, it is completely unfair to punish everyone based on the actions of one person. Believe me, nobody hates irresponsible dog owners more than I do.2. I really question the ladies who were laying down the law to us.They were stopping people left and right to inform them of the new rules, but when questioned about what authority they had, they dont work for the park, and they are not rangers. So who do they work for, and why is it so important to them?3. The trail that everyone is being instructed to walk on is a questionable call as well. It is an asphalt trail, and as any good dog owner knows, asphalt gets very hot and will burn your dogs feet. I really would not feel comfortable at all taking my dog on that trail during a hot day. I would much prefer my dog to walk on the nice cool dirt on the many trails that the park has to offer.Like I say, I dont know what happened. If somebody brought their dog to the park and it killed or injured a wild animal, I sincerely apologize for that jerk. I fight every day to educate people on how to be better dog owners. I can assure you that no incident will ever come about from my dogs. I just dont want to have to pay for somebody elses actions. Also, please do a better job of getting the information out there. Nobody at the park explained why this was happening, and to be honest, if it were actual park rangers explaining these things, this negative review would not exist. Thank you for your time.

Gorgeous wildlife and beautiful park. Found this pretty copperhead while on a hike there a few weeks ago. Remember, there is no such snake as a bad (native) snake. This snake did not bother me, nor did I bother him. You are a visitor in their home. Enjoy their beauty and respect their space. Ive also spotted Virginia Virginia opossums, many turtles (plus a snapping turtle laying her eggs!), birds of prey, a raccoon sleeping on a log, a beaver, and so many other interesting animals. This is a great place to nature watch, with so many secluded boardwalks out in the marshy areas. Go exploring today.

Even in the drippy rainy weather, it was a wonderful walk! We saw herons, geese, dragonflies, beetles, turtles, fish, lots of different birds, myriads of different trees and foliage. Now that leashed, well-behaved dogs and responsible dog owners are not allowed on trails, you wont be seeing me at Conestee (or donating to the parks boxes). A most disappointing and, quite frankly, ridiculous rule change. Cant see how a leashed dog can interact with ANY wildlife.

This park is a good afternoon excursion with kids. It gets a little buggy because it is built on wetlands, but the trails are well preserved and the nature walks are attached to an area with a large playground. We parked at the Belmont fire department parking lot and took the flat tail trail into the park. The trails are marked, but it is easy to get turned around your first time. Some of the trails are okay for mountain biking, but it’s mostly flat. This is a very good area for birdwatching.

CHAMPERS! READ THIS! YOUR SANITY DEPENDS ON IT! I went camping with some friends and I had a lot of fun. It was clean but they seriously need to spray for spiders in the bathhouse... i mean i was afraid to squish some of those things. I know thats part of the experience but the little spiders that float and crawl around like ants where everywhere, even on the water, were no problem but the beasts in the bathhouse were ridiculous. Next time Im bringing a can of HotShot to keep in my toiletry bag... really... they need to have that stuff on the back of the toilets like air fresheners.DO NOT attempt to sleep there without earplugs! TAKE SOME WITH YOU! There is a nocturnal bird that rivals the sound of an alarm clock hooked to a surround sound Amphitheater speaker system AND THERES MORE THAN ONE! They talk to one another! One loud ass bird will chirp for 15 minutes and then another one will chirp for 15 minutes but that one might be too far away so youll almost be asleep when the bird near to you starts freaking chirping again. I quite literally drove to the Walmart almost 45 minutes away and purchased some earplugs for me to sleep with the next morning. I spend the majority of the day sleeping on the beach because I didnt sleep at all that night. It was awful. I quite literally laid there and cried for 15 minutes from the absolute desperation from not being able to sleep because I was exhausted. Overall it was an amazing weekend and I cant wait to do it again but with my earplugs and hot shot this time.
