Always great! Become a member - it is worth it. Been going to second Saturdays for years - great place to create family memories. Camps are great. Planetarium and ovservatory are great. Wish they were still doing the Cjristmas lights! New building going up looks like a great addition. Staff and volunteers make your visit enjoyable. Dont forget to visit the farm!

You should post on Google that youre closed until further notice. It still says youre open. I shouldnt have to call or go to your website to find that kind of information. Boo!

My favorite educational place in Upstate South Carolina. So much for the kids to learn about and have fun doing it. I highly recommend taking your kids to Friday Starry Nights there if you can. They will love it! But most of all their prices are great!

Visited here for Fall harvest festival with two toddler and it was amazing. I thought we would maybe spend a couple of hours but ended up being here until closing time. It was definitely worth the drive up from Atlanta and will be back next year.

Something for everyone here! All ages will find it enjoyable. The animals are well taken care of and they have a pretty big variety! The garden and farm are amazing, the butterfly exhibit is awesome to see as well. Would recommend to any family with kids!

Jasmine did a wonderful Weather watchers Program for my 4th grade students! She helped them build background knowledge and then simulated a situation in which the students had to help the Mayor decide the advice to give her citizens. This advice was made by looking at data (pressure and wind). It was excellent!

Roper Mountain is a magical location for all visiting or living in Greenville, SC. The Second Saturdays, Friday Starry Nights, Camps, and Butterfly Adventure bring science to life! From Symmes Hall, at the top of the mountain, to the Farm at the bottom, you will be immersed in science. I highly recommend the Roper Mountain Science Center!

Awesome place! My family and I came for the Butterfly Experience and it was a great time had by all. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Plenty of activities outside of the butterfly exhibit. Great learning environment but so much fun the kids wont even notice. We were here for hours and didnt even realize it. I may have had more fun than the kiddos, lol. Cant wait to return!

We love going here for Second Saturday. Today was STEM day. Lots of good science activities, a fun science show, and a great planetarium show. The hall with the animals, and sea creatures was closed for construction, which was disappointing. But all in all, a great day.

My 4 yr old went there with his class and had a BLAST! He got to encounter butterflies, farm animals, visit an old school and see reptiles. He hasnt stopped talking about it and has made it clear that we are to go back. His excitement prompted me to dig more into what RMSC has to offer and I am thrilled to see the planetarium shows available. This is definitely something that will keep us occupied this summer!

Its a great place to go with the family. They have a planetarium with showings that are actually entertaining. During Christmas they do a light show thats nostalgic and worth seeing once (beyond that, its a waste of money). Mostly, we love the science stuff (telescopes, planetarium, etc).

A friend and I enjoy science in general and thought it would be awesome to go to this museum, but when we pulled up and tried to enter they said it wasnt open to the public and everything was shut down except for the nature walk. We were disappointed when she said they are only open to the public 2 days out of the week. So we ended up leaving. How unfortunate for us.
