Beautiful park. Nice trails, could be marked a little better. A few challenging hills, but overall relatively easy hike.
Beautiful hike next to Swan Creek. Some nice elevation changes. Will be back.
Great park with lots of trails. Pretty well ya k en care of. The little camp on site is nice too.
Definitely the best park for a hike in nature within the Grand Rapids metro area. Only 15 minutes from the city center, it has beautiful scenic trails. The variety of trails will keep you coming back as well as the gorgeous stream, the diverse forest, and the wonderful wildlife. I grew up going to this park several times a year and continue to this very day. Also not overcrowded.
Such a beautiful place. Striking beauty every time we go.
Beautiful park. Picture perfect fall trails.
Nice trails for an average hiker. Dogs enjoy it too.
Really enjoy the trails out here with plenty of different lengths to walk and trails to go on.
Beautiful park! Full of spring flowers now. Creek and other water. Nice trails and a hill that will give you a good workout!
Open during Covid19 pandemic!Wonderful, peaceful place to hike. I would recommend. I wish there were more signs stating where you were at times.
A beautiful hike perfect for the whole family. You can easily vary the style and duration of your walk using the multitude of criss-crossing trails, through forest and flower and field and river.TL;DR - Pitter patter, lets get at er.
We love Aman Park summer or winter! Strongly suggest taking a phone pic of the map before leaving the trail head. The trails are color coded on the map but letter coded on the trail. You wont get truly lost but you may go much farther than intended or have to back track because you missed a section you wanted to hike. Mostly flat with some moderate terrain.
Beautiful park with a nice number of trails.
It was a nice little hike, I liked the view of the river but there were parts awfully close to the road which is less relaxing. There were also a lot of people walking with dogs off leash which is a problem because I was there walking a dog that does not do well with other dogs. I purposely picked a place that wouldnt have dogs off leash but clearly that was not the case.
Beautiful place to walk and run, especially in early spring when trilliums are blooming.
It is a beautiful place. Lots of trails. The place is pretty big for not being too far from the city.
Awesome place for a quick hike. Lots of wildlife and beautiful fall colors. Watch for mosquitos though because thats lots of water. Numerous trails.
Best walking trails around. Awesome scenery. Fall time will be a very special time to see it!!!
A beautiful day for a winters walk !Or summer for that matter !
The most beautiful trail with trilliums and Texas bells in bloom...heavenly ️️
Has nice views but Lots of wood on the ground
Amazing trail for hiking !Love it !
The spring flowers were so pretty around mothers day! The trails are clearly marked, and Ill be going back again.
Wonderful walk
Great for Sunday morning hiking!
Best natural park ever. Beautiful flowers
This was a nice park... parking was a little short but the trails were awesome and they had rocks of who donated land to the city to make the park possible.
Always gorgeous and so peaceful!!
What a wonderful place to walk..
I really enjoy hiking here, its one of my favorite trails. The trails are mapped out with markers along the way. Its so Beautiful, serene and quiet. Its a nice escape from the busy city
Very nice waking trails between Allendale and Standale. Longest trail is 1.5 miles with just enough dips and valleys to keep it interesting. Never very busy so its easy to have a quiet and peaceful walk on your own or with a loved one. The trails are well marked and easy to follow. Beautiful places for pictures along the way.
Visited Aman Park for the first time in early May and the trilliums were in full bloom. The hiking paths are well worn and we enjoyed the views along Sand Creek. I’m looking forward to cross country skiing in the winter.
Been hiking here since I was a kid. Its a great place to go - close to town.
Love this place. Very diverse area of land. A bunch of trails and beautiful ravines. Home of black squirrels and deer and tons of birds.
Absolutely love walking here in the fall. The colors in the old growth canopy are magnificent.
Amazing must visit!
This is a great park for walks or runs. It is never crowded, has plenty of trails, and is large enough to fit most needs. Dont forget big spray though. The water is nice to see, but the bugs bite most of the summer around the ponds.
Great trails, peaceful.
Did a stream analysis here with my college ecology class. It was beautiful and a very nice place to take a long walk.
This is a beautiful Park, it will make you feel like youre way out in the middle of nowhere but its really close to Standale. Great place to go for a family hike
I really like this park and trail system, but flooding has made some sections impassable. I hope spring allows bridge building to occur to reconnect the North and South ends of the trails.
Beautiful Place to Take a Hike Along the Winding Grand River. Watch Out for Stinging Nettle in the Summer Along the Banks
Great place for a short and relaxing hike or a longer interpretive hike.
Awesome location for hiking. Not great in snow due to slippery levels.
I like this park. Good mix of higher terrain trails.
An underrated little place to explore and experience some incredible adventures out in the woods.
Creepy. Bad vibes on the trail. Like being watchef
Peaceful and serene. The trails make for a challenging, fun running and hiking space.
Great park with awesome views and trails year round!
Nice place, did some geocaching here today
Natural trials in an urban nature area
Love the trails
Amazing park. Always some new off the beaten path place to explore. Beautiful. Year round fun. Great nature exploration.
Beautiful park, however, desolate. Which means have to be safe. Have pepper spray and make sure cell phone is on and working.
Nice variety of trails in a beautiful setting. Take a picture of the trail map before you go hiking so you can remember where you want to go. There are a few picnic tables and benches around, but if youre going to use them you may want to bring something to sit on since the wood is not in very good condition.
You want quiet go there
Good time with the Pup (:
Beautiful park all times of year!
Beautiful trails...
Nice place for a nature walk with or without dogs
This is one of my favorite places to go walking with my family. Its a very safe environment and Gorgeous place to see and you can bring a fishing pole along your walk and even maybe catch a fish or two. Highly rate you to check this park out you wont be disappointed..
Love this park especially when the 1st fluffy snow hits! Even in the fall its super pretty. There are different trails and streams with bridges for those Kodak moments.Parking lot is available and never been crowded when Ive been there. Im pretty sure you can bike there too, although its better suited for walking.
My family and I love this park, however today had a strange experience with a fellow hiker and wanted to put it out there. A strange man walked up behind my daughter and I silently on the bridge and stood very close and commented on a bruise on my daughters leg without a hello or anything. It was strange, then he noticed my husband and other children up ahead and proceeded to them and our dog was imeadiately spooked by him. Our dog is a very friendly laberdoodle and was afraid of this man, not usually afraid of anyone. They guy asked a few more strange prying questions then walked ahead and left. We later saw him driving out in a white truck, and it seemed pretty normal. We will continue to frequent this park, but will be bringing the pepper spray next time. Stay safe hikers!
I played in the park 50 years ago. Always looked for mushrooms in the spring. Love the park.
Nice little hiking trails with a pretty decent variety of landscape.
Beautiful park. By far my favorite
Love this park but they have not maintain all the smaller trails well. Lots of trees down that ppl have to climbed or step over.
Great place to hike or trail run.
This is such a nice little park. There are trails that go around through the woods and around the creek. Definitely bring bug spray if it is warm out. Lots of people out walking their doggos
Variety of trails, some steep hills, Sand Creek with a nice bridge.
We go every spring to see the wide variety of wildflowers - stunning!
A lot of nice and shaded trails to walk the dogs on.
Took the tiny men for a 2 mile hike. Good times
Shhhh....dont tell any more people about all the great - lengthy trails here! Caution..can be quite muddy in spring and some trails get flooded
Love this park! People are friendly and multiple ecosystems available to observe,
Fantastic forest trail. Streams and flora and foam amazing especially being so close to residences
Excellent park. Lots of friendly dogs walking with their owners. Snobs and dogs with issues please stay away.
Beautiful hiking trails, port-a-pottys were clean.
Great place to hike trails
I have visited this park my whole life. It is an amazing place to walk the dog, go on ungroomed cross country ski trails, go snowshoeing, or just bring your loved ones a walk in the woods. There is usually not a lot of people around, so your walks are very quiet and you can listen to nature. I love aman park, its a blessing to have, its especially beautiful in the early weeks of spring when tons of wildflowers bloom by the river.
Spring flowrrs in bloom. Nice three mile hike
Plenty of trails, well kept, can be buggy in the summer since the river runs through it, but beautiful park overall.
Beautiful
Worthwhile going just for the trillium, if not the rest of the spring wildflowers. Great trails, lovely place. We also found jack-in-the-pulpit, trout lilies, Virginia blue bells, buttercups, violets and more.
Awsome trails and creek
Great place to take the kids for a walk. Nice Creek runs through the park. Love the bridges. Plenty of parking. Great mushroom hunting in season. Lots of trails. Skiing and snowshoeing in season. If you want a challenge find Amans grave.
Steep gorges, flowing water. Lots of flora. It is possible to get thoroughly lost and mauled by mosquitos but also to emerge with a basket of wild mushrooms for dinner. Pretty wild for being so close to town.
Our favorite place for a stroll
Nice place, little buggy. Bring extra bug spray. Wish there were more you are here maps available.
