Super clean and quiet city park. Water park for the kids! Bathrooms are closed after Labor Day or so. Two playgrounds too.

Wonderful park!! We were there on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to find the splash pad open! Pavillion needed a little help,but the man who works for the park service did an excellent job cleaning it up! Highly reccomend this park.

Best kept secret of Grand Rapids. Splash park, tennis courts, baseball diamond, basketball court, playground, and enough fields to picnic in the shade while maintaining social distancing.

My grandchildren love this neighborhood park. The playground equipment is well maintained. The splash pad is fun in the Summer!

Its a fun family time. You have baseball or three kid parks to play at, can cook out or play at mini splash pad. Can also play tennis. The y has a few sport events here. Great family fun or great to walk your dog. Always fun here at the park, seems like a great atmosphere. I take my kids here a couple times a week.

Good courts, they keep the nets fresh

Great family park. Large open spaces, small kids play ground, big kids play ground, baseball field, tennis courts, basketball court. Tons of picnic tables for family gatherings or birthday parties. One covered area, with picnic tables for coverage from the sun, or if the weather turns. Parking can be tight, and on beautiful summer days you may have to park in the second parking lot, only accessible from the school driveway. When we go, we bring a soccer ball, basketball, frisbee, tennis gear, and food too make a day of it. Bathrooms are generally maintained decently, but they are public, and can get rough. Theres also a splash pad, with water features that is great for young kids. There are a few grills that can be used by the public, but they have seen better days. Overall, Aberdeen is a great city park, and much needed greenery in the city. A+

Decent park, nice shade.

A really nice little park located right in the city. Some of the best tennis courts that are not at a high school. There is also a basketball court and playground. Parking is limited but the two schools adjacent the park allow for more parking when there is an activity like youth soccer.

As local parks go, this one is a winner. Its basically a sports park with a couple of playgrounds. Weve used this park for Parks and Recreation soccer for years. There are a couple of ball diamonds, , several soccer practice fields (loosely interpreted), a few basketball courts, several tennis courts, ample parking in 4 shared lots. Im not sure if they still do, but they have run a water feature that was basically an overhead sprinkler. Its worth a visit if youre in the neighborhood. Your kids will love it.

Wasnt as clean as I am used to.

Ive been coming here for 30 years. Its a very large park with several different playgrounds, sports facilities, pavilions and even a grill area for picnics. The park is great for tennis, the courts are well maintained. That said, the rest of the park could use some attention and love before things deteriorate.

Thick women galore

I rented the pavillion for my Dads birthday, had agreat time with family. I noticed a birthday party was celebrated for a child no more than 5 at the picnic tables just west of us, thats when the smell of cannabis started to overwhelm the area, I could see the adults passing something around. Please, if you have a birthday for a child leave the cannabis at home.

All sorts of sports activities were going on while I was there and the splash pad was a plus. Overall a very nice park.

If you ever get a chance to let green grass play under your feet or just want to enjoy watching the kids explore this is a place you will immediately feel satisfied funny I had not visited this particular park because I just didnt know the vibe would be so welcoming...

This was my first visit to Aberdeen, but it wont be my last. Clean, well kept, easy access and my grandson had a blast.

Trash EVERYWHERE. Took my 2yr old to play and all he did was try to pick up all the trash, thanks for leaving a trash can out but my 2yr old isnt the park maintenance, let me know where my son can apply tho! He did a great job.

Lots of room, lovely nature, and some nice tennis courts to boot. A few different playground structures, aimed at probably age 3+.There is an accessible swing for those with mobility issues or unable to sit up fully straight.Edit: upgrading to 5 stars, the new splash pad is fantastic, and completely free. A class act as parks go.

Was fun. Took my 17 month old son, the only downfall was that there were hundreds of cigarette butts in the wood chips so I had to watch my toddler very closely so he didnt try to play with them or eat them.

Great shade on the sunny days as the kids play at playground or on splash pad.

Aberdeen has a wonderful set of tennis courts with shade, a solid splash pad, and lots of green space/playground for family picnics.

My daughter and I love the splash pad at Aberdeen! Seemed like it was better suited for younger kids like my daughter (18ms). Other splash pads we have been to have two sections one for the littles and bigger instillations for older kids and the older children are having fun not paying attention run into the ones like mine who won’t stay in the little kid section. Since it seemed more designed for the little ones there seemed to be fewer big kids at this park the times we have been there

Good park but in a really rundown neighborhood

Nice park. Had playground rock wall for kids, and tennis courts as well as plenty of room for them to run around.

My kiddos loved this place. Definitely a go too in the summer time.

The family had a good time. Our 4 year olds didnt want to leave. Park was clean, which is always important when you have your little ones running around.

Great park!! Beautiful Green space, excellent neighborhood and public restrooms. I wish they had some kind of lights in them, but other than that, fantastic! Well be back for sure!

Great park, newly renovated. Splash pad is an added bonus! Basketball hoops, baseball field, tons of playground equipment. This park is really a fantastic part of the Cheshire Village neighborhood.
