Wonderful place. Our family has been going to the Galvestonian for the past 30 years. We have never been disappointed.

This is great place to come with the family. They have room options available and you can come look before you book. Friendly staff are available to answer questions or help with what you need. They have luggage carts available to help you get over your stuff around. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby. They provide beach towels, blankets, and bug spray. The three elevators allow wait time to e minimum. The views from the room are great. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. One downside, depending on your needs- you have to wall through the bedroom to get to the bathroom.

Condo #112 was newly remodeled and just great all around, other than not having any knives or cutting boards- it had everything else. Ive stayed at this resort several times in different condos and have always had wonderful experiences. Service is good, beaches are private and kept clean, and condos are always nice and clean. Even outside workers wore masks to protect against covid. This is a first class place to stay, and the best on the island.

The crab & corn chowder was outstanding! We ordered the dinner specials with entree & 2 sides. All three meals were great. All of us got crab dressing as a side & glad we did. The key lime pie was huge and tasted wonderful. It was enough for three of us.

Where can you find a 5 star resort to rest & relax: The Galvestonian! This place offers solice, peace, quiet, a workout room, bikes to rent, a beach to walk, lovely pool, a walkway to a secluded beach. The staff is accommodating & friendly.

Sitting here on my last morning not wanting to leave! This exceeded my expectations by far! Loved my room (Had everything I needed for my stay) loved my view, loved the people here and will make this a tradition! Kid friendly but I can see myself coming a lone with my husband! Everything is super close but I decided to uber eat because I did not want to leave! Came for my birthday and can’t wait to come back next year already!!!

First off, note that they are doing some renovations, so I would call first to see if they have a unit away from the hammering. We had a pleasant visit. We booked early on in Jan. before the virus took over, so we werent sure if we would be able to go. By the July 4th weekend, we were ready to get out of the house! Rolando was amazing and he should be applauded for excellent customer service! He always had a smile on his face and said hello when we came by the lobby. We had a room that we booked in advance but when we got there, the construction was going on above and next to us. Rolando graciously offered to move us to another room. Beautiful views of the gulf, and immaculate grounds. There is a grilling area, large pool and access to private beach.

Beautiful room. Great amenities. The beach and pool are perfect. There was some renovation happening but Galvestonian went above and beyond to compensate. Absolutely the best place to stay in Galveston.

We’ve stayed here 5 or 6 times in the last 8 years. Great family spot - clean beach, nice pool, not crowded. We really enjoy Galveston in spite if it being prob the least attractive beach ever! So much to do there with a family.

Our most favorite place to spend a week on Galveston Island. Great beach for sunset and sunrise walks. Condos are clean, well appointed and come in a variety of motifs. Great WEB page for viewing availability, decor, and booking. However, off-season specials are generally available only by calling the property directly.

First time staying here and I loved it. We stayed here for the weekend of the Lonestar Rally and since it was so out of the way, it was very quiet. It is the last hotel on the East end so keep that in mind but still close to the strand. The property is gorgeous being right on the beach. They have BBQ pits, a huge fire pit, lawn games and the best hammocks. The condo (#108) was very clean. Nice big kitchen. (with coffee maker). Great views even from the first floor. The bathroom included a hairdryer. Nice linens and comfortable bed. I was very happy and would stay here again.

When I made the reservation through Travelocity, I looked at pictures of the unit. It was a one bedroom with the bedroom windows overlooking the water. I also requested, and thought I had been given, a king bed. When we arrived, we were given a one bedroom with a small window facing the hallway and a queen bed. When I complained, I was told there was nothing that could be done. If I wanted the room I had seen on line, I would have had to book directly through the Galvestonian.

Very nice condo vacation getaway. Heated pool, Jacuzzi, well manicured lawn with grills and plenty of seating. They set up chairs and umbrellas on the beach every morning and you can reserve them for the day. They also offer nice amenities like towels for the pool and free sunscreen in case you forgot yours. The rooms all face the ocean, so every room has a good view, and youre right on the beach. You never have to deal with crossing a street.

Completing window upgrades so a bit of a mess. Very little traffic. Most folks keeping up with masks.

The Galvestonian is far enough away from town and public access to provide a secure beach experience with few people. Well maintained building and rooms. Everyone has an ocean view. Private beach access. Parking is right out front and theres plenty of space. Nice heated pool with connected hot tub. Only 10 minutes or so from all the attractions and restaurants. My only complaint is that the AC is like an arctic tornado in the bedroom. Floor 12 room 8.

This place is sweet. Its a quaint seaside hotel. Except its not. Each unit is owned by different people. So decorations vary. They have kitchens and all units look out on the gulf. Keep in mind Island Time. Stuff closes early. Eat before you go or prepare to order delivery before 9 or 10 at the latest. Most of the east is shut at 9. We ubered out to chilis cause they close at 11 and went to a local grocery (arlens) cause midnite ;-) - next day the kids could spend the whole thing playing in the waves and the sand.

We have come here repeatedly and have never had a disappointing experience. The grounds are kept lovely and the staff is very responsive.

Posh lobby, helpful staff(lots of them too). Beach(East Beach) is great. Sand volleyball court near end of boardwalk, beautiful sand. Nice pool, deck & hammocks, grassy picnic & grill area. Room nice, It was hard to get the a/c right in our two bedroom condo. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, but bring own steamer & spices other than salt & pepper. Bring own coffee, none provided in room. There is a coffeemaker and filters. Coffee in lobby all the time. Continental breakfast on Sat. & Sun. while we were there.

Staff was amazing it was private clean beautiful the best even better than san Luis resort in my opinion I definitely will absolutely be going again soon

You cant go wrong here. Beachfront, great views, beautiful pool...I have been coming here neatly 15 years and am looking forward to the next 15. Now of owning a condo here would just become more affordable. Guess Ill have to wait to buy a damage unit after the next hurricane.

This has become our favorite spot to come to in Galveston, we recently just stayed here again for a week and fully enjoyed it. The beach is great and mostly uncrowded and there is plenty to do. In particular, the pool was great for kids, and having what felt like unlimited fresh towels for post-swim was much appreciated. The accommodations were also top notch and we ended up cooking almost all of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen or on the grills near the beach access. Aside from swimming and cooking there was volleyball, tennis, shuffle board, and cornhole but traveling with little kids, the winner was certainly the firepit where we could do smores (The Galvestonian provided smores skewers at the front desk when we asked). All in all, we loved our stay and will certainly be back. One beach tip, bring chairs and a canopy - you can technically rent chairs and a beach umbrella from the Galvestonian but its not quite as good as a real canopy.

My favorite Galveston destination! Right on the beach; you dont have to cross the crazy Seawall Blvd. Awesome pool. Awesome bbq area with beautiful landscaping. Feels like Im at a Tropical getaway.

I take a group here every summer. Everything you need is right there and it is beautiful. They have hammocks next to the beach. Its more of a relaxing place more than a college party place. Definitely recommend!

Very nice friendly staff. Our rental was clean and well stocked. The amenities such as the heated pool and beach access are awesome.

Stayed here for a week in April 2018 and wished we had stayed longer! Everything about this hotel is top notch, from the front desk all the way to the clean beach. Fantastic housekeeping, heated pool with ample deck space to relax. We cant wait to visit the gavestonian again next year!

Clean facilities and cordial service. Ive been coming here annually for the past 22 years and I have yet to be displeased.

Beautiful hotel, pool, and beach access. This a great hotel for kids. The hotel does not have a restaurant -- so plan on a one mile minimum drive for meals. However, the rooms have a full kitchen and the hotel provides a grill and outdoor eating area. Also, there is no good grocery store in Galveston. So, other than basics, bring your own special snacks, cheeses, breakfast materials, etc.

Family and I had a wonderful time...the views were amazing from our 3 bedroom condo. Condo was very well equipped. The beach was well maintained and accessible from condo. The pool and gaming amenities were an added touch which we loved! Our only complaint was the mosquitoes...they swarmed us while trying to watch fireworks, anytime in the evening outside...even around the pool area. The provided off saved us, but unless you lathered in the off every 10 minutes, mosquitoes would still bite. I would think spraying for them would solve the problem. This was the only complaint...otherwise AMAZING property!

Great spacious rooms. You can not beat having a private beach when you are driving down the strip and see the crowds at Stewart Beach. Worth every penny for that experience alone. The rooms have wear but overall well maintained and most importantly clean.

Great stay, clean, everyone was nice and friendly, they groom the beach daily, the chair & umbrella service is a great extra (i will say that we did have to ask a couple to move from our spot). It’s a little further out from the restaurants and bars than other hotels, but it is one of the few locations with direct beach access. We’ll definitely be back.

This was our first time staying in these condos, but it was a great experience! Beautiful view, condo was nice, clean and updated! Everything that you need for an extended stay! We bought groceries and cooked our meals so we didnt have to leave the property! The beach was very clean, private and uncrowded! All of the staff members were friendly and courteous! We will definitely be returning!

This is an INCREDIBLE hotel! I went here in late July and i LOVED IT! The staff is nice and friendly, we have our own private beach away from the main beach, and a pool! There are landscaping people who clean up the area near the hotel and they do a great job! there are Trolleys to help you with your bags in the lobby. Its not even that far from the pier! If youre staying in Galveston, this is the hotel to go to!

This place is amazing!!!! Tube pool is huge and wonderful. This is located on the far east of Galveston near East Beach and Beachtown. When there, you are close to everything but have a sense that you are remote since you dont see all the business around you. There is a lovely green area with picnic tables. Charcoal grills, Huge fire pit with Adirondack chairs, an area with hammocks, and lush landscaping too. The property is dog friendly too, even though not all accommodations are as they are each owned individually and rented out by owners.They serve continental breakfast on weekends and have coffee most of the time. They even have special events like popcorn and movie night. Truly a great get away to just relax by the pool or stroll the beach.

We enjoyed the private beach and pool. The room was clean and amazing views. We were frustrated that they had no beach chairs available the entire weekend even when we asked right when we checked in and that most of them were left empty on the beach all day and we weren’t able to rent any even with no-shows. The breakfast selection and some of the friendliness of the staff was weak. We felt this place was just overpriced for what you got. If it was cheaper to stay, we would have had lower expectations.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Clean, quiet, right on the beach. We stayed in unit 1008 and it was well set for cooking meals, relaxing, and enjoying the beach. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotless. We will be going back again soon. The east beach (private portion in front of the hotel) was clean- we didn’t even have to wear water shoes!) and we rented umbrella and chairs from the hotel for $35 all day. It was nice because we could come and go all day. Also- the pool is heated to 86 degrees and was lovely. Really good value for the money.

This was my third time staying there. Thats how much my family and I love this place. Youve got a private access to a very clean beach. Theres never really a lot of people on the beach there. This place has a pool and a hot tub. Theres good food in the area, and you can see pleasure pier from the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

I’ve stayed at the Galvestonian multiple times now with large family groups. We usually rent several 2- and 3-bedroom condos, which are always nice and well decorated. Great touches include beach umbrella service, a nice pool, grills, hot tub, and generally excellent upkeep.Not knocking a star because I’m sure these minor issues exist at the request of the Galvestonian’s residents, but it’d be great to add lighting at the grills for extended dinners, and would love to see the hot tub stay open a bit later than 10pm.

The place/location was fantastic. The staff was great and would recommend this place to anyone that was visiting Galveston.

Great amenities such as grills, picnic benches/areas, hammocks, chairs and umbrellas for the beach, kids toys, and pool. All of the resorts grounds were clean and well kept. Great view from the balcony! Amazing wildlife along the beach. Great place to take the family because of its quiet and welcoming environment.

The Galvestonian is in amazing place to visit. It’s like taking a trip to Florida or the Bahamas. The rooms are very spectacular and are cleaned to perfection. You should see some of the views from the top condominiums. Is simply amazing and if you had a telescope you can see the ships out in the golf of Mexico pretty clearly.

Awesome facility. Incredible beach access. There are enough handicapped access making it much easier for disabled seniors to get around and also enjoy the beach.There are a variety of room choices including a three bedroom that is great for family reunions or parties. The kitchen in every apartment is exceptional. The whole facility is very clean. They have lush towels by the swimming pool and exercise room.There are optional food delivery businesses and grocery carts if you load up on food and need to take it from your car to your apartment.The only down side is there isnt a restaurant on the premises. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

First night there a/c unit was froze up, and had to sleep in a hot humid condo. Didnt get fixed until after 4 when we returned. Nothing was offered for that time without air. Also the freezer was froze shut and unable to open. Was hard staying a week and not having a freezer. Gentleman at front desk is whom I told when reporting about the air, and he said they would defrost after we left. One would think the room would be checked before customer checks in. Other than that the stay was nice but would have been better to have ice for drinks and coolers since you are at the beach.

We love coming here. Ive been coming here since it was built in the early 80s.

Stayed in one of the condos that was well furnished and well equipped (kitchen supplies). Loved the view of the water, and the front desk staff was always very friendly and helpful!Great breakfast snacks and juice in the morning, and fruit/cheese and cupcakes later in the day (weekends only for these). Coffee is 24/7 in the lobby. Two beach chairs and an umbrella are $35/day. There are bikes available to rent. They provide beach towels, and there are some sunscreens by the towels as well.Pro tip: there is filtered water available in the gym, if you have your own container (versus buying water from the vending machine).The only food within walking distance is the Porch Cafe. Not cheap, but great food. Reservations recommended, but there is usually seating open at the bar too.

Love it here we stayed on vacation here for 4 days and it comes with full kitchen fridge and towels and the living room was spacious for my hubby my mother in law and 2 kids the only reason I didnt rate 5 stars because I did wish it had was a washer and dryer in the unit and the water pressure in the shower was not great. The staff was wonderful and we will be back!

I just received a message saying the room I wanted was not available? Odd, that we were already home when it was received. We loved the Galvestonian and would stay there again. Everything was clean in the rooms and they had everything we needed. I would suggest that they do put clothes hooks up behind the bathroom doors and our cold water when shut off would sometimes come on again. Our garbage door was stuck in the open position but we managed. We did have to call maintenance to fix two TVs that were stuck in some code or position. We could not have have faster service. What a nice man he was.The view from our room on the third floor was great and we were able to sit out and enjoy listening to the wind and waves. It was a much needed get away for us.The staff was friendly and very helpful.

We loved the condo rental. staff are helpful room service happens rather late in the day which is somewhat troublesome. many lovely well cared for amenities. lots of mosquitos so bring bug spray 4 sure. your family will have great time.

We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were great. It was very family friendly. The proximity to the beach is really nice too. My kids already want to go back.

This has always been our special place in Galveston. Theres nothing like smelling the salt air on the balcony of one of those cozy rooms. Kitchens are complete in all rooms. The pool and beach access are stellar!

We visited friends here for a get together. So not sure what the rooms look like. But I can tell you that the building, lobby, Courtyard, and beach are absolutely amazing. The pool is great. This is a great location was not too many people.

The condo was great

In my mind, this is located on the nicest stretch of Galvestons beach. The rooms are comfortable (I think they are all different--seems like the building rents out rooms as hotel rooms on behalf of the owners of the units). Has tennis courts, hammocks, grills down near the beach, bikes, and they set up beach umbrellas every day. Felt a little more like Miami than classical Galveston.

We had a wonderful stay sept 8-11. The weather turned out very nice the first couple of days even tho the weather apps said rain all weekend!! Everything was clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating!!! We will definitely be back in hopefully the very near future!!!

Our first stay was lovely. The unit however was in need of just a touch of attention. Nothing big but for the HUGE price we were charged more luxury was expected. Oh well. We stayed on the 12th floor, the top, and it was fabulous. The lobby and grounds are beautiful. The residents seemed a bit unfriendly toward the guests but not important enough to keep us away for another stay.

Always love coming here to stay. It is clean and furnished very tastefully.

Stayed in the 3 bedroom/2 bath and couldnt have been more pleased. Great space for a family with kids. The beach was well groomed every day and the pool was also very nice and relaxing. I would stay here again.

The Galvestonian is a great condo to stay at all year round. We have been going there for many years and enjoy the amenities and being ojust off the beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. While very basic I enjoy using the new workout facilities. The location and views are super. We have stayed in unit 1201 many times over the last 15 years. They also have a nice eating and kitchen area for events.
