Besides the occasional strange passer byer or drug dealer sitting around its not terrible gives you some room to play by or get in the river the park could have more amenities. But hence because of the weirdos. Its cool go out on the water float around or have a short picnic.

Its a beautiful clean little park. Weve been a few times this summer and even after the 3rd rainiest August the boat ramp is still perfectly usable.Parking has been easy; we went on a weekend and a week day in the afternoon in perfect weather and there were plenty of spaces. It looks like a great place to bring well behaved, especially water loving dogs. That said, we saw everyone taking care to pick up after their dogs, but do keep an eye out just in case something was missed; Im originally from New York City, we learned to look out for those little urban Shiitakes even before we learned how to avoid busses and cars. There is a spot to borrow lifejackets for your offspring, and there is a sign that gently reminds you children do not float. This is a good idea even if you arent boating because that grass runs straight on into that water, something you dont see in New York, probably because the water is too dirty and if you stuck a part in there your part might turn green or dissolve, or get infected with something that can kill you.Everyone seemed nice and friendly, and quick to smile. We saw no creepy lurkers (another New Yorker-ism that will never completely go away). There is a Port-O-Potty, but I hadnt worked up the courage to investigate it because I didnt have to go *that* badly the times we were there.Theres a lovely collection of flowers, a few swings and other apparatus for those young enough to fall and not worry about breaking a pelvis just yet, and all structures appear to be in good repair. It might be my new coffee spot. So if you see a person in an SUV with Starbucks, yes, Im the from-out-of-town jerkbird who still loves my Starbucks, thats probably me. Im not a park-lurker, I just like to sit on a cushion in an artificially controlled environment and listen to music when Im in the out-of-doors.

It has a playground for kids, boat ramp, and picnic tables. I love this park because its one of those that r right smack next to the busiest part of town but all u have to worry about it the beautiful ducks swimming in summer n hoping u dont fall through on a river walk in the winter.

I think this isnt the nicest park in town given that there is a playground for the kids it is off of a running path in a biking paths in the walking path the location is downtown there is a nice River there which I think is the cleanest place to go swimming in town use your life jackets of course there is not very much Upstream of the river it is also flowing so there is no swimmers itch the river shallow tell you good halfway across then it cuts off and gets deep again there is a boat launch lot of people lunches theyre both there also you could launch a wrapped kayak or some type of flotation device and enjoy the Chena River
