Little white bugs lurking in the carpet. On the 4th floor on 11/26/2020 I accidentally dropped my phone during sleep onto the carpet and in the morning the screen had about 10 little white bugs moving about that I didn’t notice until about 5 minutes later. They were so tiny! I got a video of them just in case. Checked all my other luggage on the carpet and they too had little white bugs tinier than a grain of sand or salt. The new room they moved us into is on the 10th floor but I looked at the carpet and it doesn’t look like there is any tiny little bugs on the surface but carpet doesn’t looked vacuumed either. There is a blonde hair and a tiny piece of a Doritos type chip. Dilemma ... return home and forget about my beach vacation or stay and consistently be itchy from thinking about these bugs?!

Place was nice and location was great. Staff was not greatly helpful, we had to ask 3 times to get enough sugar for 6 people.

Everything was perfect! Staff, pool and beach. Grocery store, Dairy Queen, bars and restaurants are within a 20 minutes or less walking distance. The water was clear and warm the last week of September.

Great resort right right across from the beach. Access to heated pool and hot tub as well.

The family of 5 (kids are 2,10,12) had a great time,I should of book a 2 bedroom. The one bedroom is a little tight. The wyndham service was grand,staff was very helpful. The beach was nice and clean. If youre staying for more then 3 days dont rent the beach umbrellas. Buy them in town.

Everything is great. ..just noisy hall third floor...everyone coming and going..from elevator..slamming carts...kids screaming. ..I did not sleep good there

View from our unit outstanding but theres room for improvements overall, but I would stay here again but try to get a golf side. The unit we had was just behind building A & B facing east and west, buildings A & B have a southern view.

Great spot to stay for the beach and surrounding area. Just wish it had bigger and better pools.

Clean, quiet and peaceful resort. I enjoyed the close proximity to the wharf and all the great food. Only a 4 min walk away but was far enough away that it was still quiet and private.

Love, love, love this place. Its our honeymoon and they gave us champagne on ice, rose petals on the bed, and a Mr. & Mrs. Sign next to the bed. Room is fantastic. Bed is super comfortable. Everyone has been so accommodating. Well definitely be back - maybe for our anniversary!

Nice location, nice rooms, not right on the ocean, but an ocean view to the South. Only complaints, floors in desperate need of a thorough deep cleaning! Barefoot in the room led to black bottomed feet!!! Just a trip from the shower to the dresser was enough to gross you out! Made me wonder, what else isnt getting cleaned??? Went out for some Lysol disinfectant cleaner, came back and hit the essential fixtures myself!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in September and it was absolutely lovely. We had room 454- which was super clean and like a little apartment. The welcome staff and concierge were great (shout out to Chris). A very short walk to the beach (like 3 minutes) and the pools were very nice. We were very happy with our stay.

Great stay, confortable suite. Came for rest and relaxation...exactly that this time of year. Its cold but can enjoy the beauty of peace and quietness.

It was good. Lots of work going on but its winter and thats what they do as to be ready for the warmer months. The stall was cool and always had time for any questions we had.

Nice location close to the beach

The resort is beautiful and nice big rooms. The staff is marvelous. Its the sells staff that pounce on you as soon as you hit the door. Kelly was rude and would not take no. We were tired from our drive and wanted to relax. Sales staff needs to have more respect for the owners!! Such a disappointment to start a much needed vacation. I will not recommend Wyndham vacation membership to anyone because of these practices!! Weve heard several owners complain about this. So please stop!!

This hotel was amazing. The room was bigger than expected and clean. Having the beach so close to the hotel was awesome! This property takes the stress off, i highly recomend!

It is in a very nice location along FL panhandle Gulf coast, among many other rental/owned condo/apt; gated. The one rest we visited at this gated group was very good late on a Sunday evening. I did not give it 5 stars because we were only there 3 notes. Even at this time of year the traffic on a Sunday evening was HORRIBLE, but the MASSIVE road work, and several tournaments were in the area. All of the staff that we met were great and was there to make your stay there great.It was also over the New Years weekend. Christmas decorations were there, but not overwhelming for those that were not into Christmas.One BIG item for this part of Fl beaches is the white (REAL, NOT SANDY) sand and the sparkling emerald water!!

Always enjoy Wyndham Vacation Resorts. The Majestic Sun was very comfortable with easy access to the beach, indoor pool with key card access only from the outside. Great for family vacations it just vacations period! A+

We love the location. Weve stayed here two times now and next door once. The location is hard to beat. The complex is nice, in good repair and clean. However, the unit we stayed in this time wasnt clean. Sucks to come on vacation and have to clean. Well be looking for a new property next time, especially if they dont refund our cleaning fee.

It wasnt the best vacation Ive ever had but it didnt have anything to do with the resort. I had emergency surgery on my foot so I wasnt allowed in the sand or the ocean but the view was to die for and I did enjoy sitting on the huge balcony we had. The room was nice and clean. The elevators though sounded like they were going to break down at any moment. The carts in the lobby were great you could cart everything up or down at once which made life a lot easier

Excellent and lovely with great employees. Highly recommended. Right on the beach and wonderful seafood restaurants like Pompanno Joes and Back Porch restaurants.

This is our fourth (and longest, at two months) stay at this resort. Scenic US 98 separates resort from beautiful white sand beach. We have stayed in two bedroom condos along the Emerald Coast, but for extended stays, this is our favorite. Units are well-maintained; staff are very pleasant and helpful. Location is great, beach views are awesome, though to see the often spectacular sunsets, we need to be on the beach or beautiful boardwalk. Activities are frequent and well-matched to occupants, mostly older snowbirds, there are some suited for visiting grandkids, too. Here we have never experienced in pressure to attend owner updates. Although the Destin area is growing, the Miramar Beach is just a little slower, and yet just about everything a person needs is not far away.

Hotels.com app lies. No free breakfast. No free parking ($10 for tag). The app says both are free. The app also says the property is on the beach. It is NOT. It is across the highway from the beach. Accomodations are average. Not too old but not new enough to include any USB charging ports anywhere. Our windows looked out upon the walkway to rooms, so you cant leave your curtains open.Wyndham resorts then inundates you with sale pitches. Strongarmed into sales breakfast that you pay a $20 deposit. Cancel ASAP. Give fake phone number. Finally, I spent 20 minutes on writing a heartfelt review to help subsequent vacationers but when I tried to post that review, the app said I had taken too much time.Grounds look nice but it rained everyday we were here.Destin area is WAY too busy and pricey, even in off season.

The condo at Majestic Sun was perfect. Adorable decor , well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We would highly recommend this place. Also, want to mention the parking was plentiful.

The pictures on the website are of a different condo. The room was very old and nasty. The pool is next door at the neighbors hotel, but you are allowed to walk to it and use it. This place is a scam!!!!

Wyndham always has great places to stay. Comfortable beds, kitchen, dining table and u to date bathrooms. The decor is modern and usually reflects the area around it. They have activities,such as nachos while watching the super bowl game, crafts for the kids, ice cream socials. Sometimes wine and cheese happy hour. Then there are swimming pools and hot tubs. And depending on location beautiful views.

We have been Wyndham owners for years, and this is our third visit to this property. It is always clean, in good repair, and has helpful and courteous staff. Location is everything with Majestic Sun! We love Destin, we love the Emerald Coast area, and we LOVE the ocean! This resort is perfect for enjoying all three!

Its a little confusing to find your room and the correct parking for closest access from your room. The room and pool was nice. Wish there was a more panoramic view of the beach from the room. There is only a perpendicular view at majestic sun where we stayed. The beach was really nice.

Rooms are quite nice. Our 2br has a queen, 2 full beds and a pull out couch. Kitchen is well stocked, but I always bring my own cutlery. Staff have been super nice. Love being able to walk to the beach, only having to cross a 2 lane road (where the traffic is slow and people generally stop and let us cross). We will be back for sure.

Great place, we stayed for seven nights and was very impressed with this location. I would definitely book here again. They have a parking garage which comes in handy if its a rainy day. They also keep coffee and newspapers in the main lobby. A part of my morning routine was to read the paper, have some of their coffee which by the way is really good then off to the boardwalk for my morning walk. They are located close to many four and five star restaurants according to YELP. I cant wait to come back again.

The rental umbrellas are like soldiers blocking the beach. 10%of condos have vouchers. Bad deal for the other 90%. Miramar Beach has totally changed and no longer has family friendly feel since the line of blue umbrellas moved in for rent. Public beach should not look like Mexico resort where Seascape vacationers are getting swindled. $20/chair/day. We came to stay in condos for the week and brought our own chairs, umbrellas and fun.

This resort is amazing the view the easy access to the beach it was my husband and i 1yr wedding anniversary and the staff were amazing at setting the room romantic i greatly appreciate it now to why i have two stars we checked in late because we had a yacht cruise booked that day and were running late so went straight there instead when we get to the resort i thought it was gonna be an easy check in because i prepaid already smh no then we finally get the key and had to stop at this other desk by the elevators and she was just talking our heads off like lady just give us the brochure and fun things to see and eat so we can get to the room she tells about a presentation ok 60 mins of your time and free breakfast plus you get a 100 gift card after so we were like ok cool OMG it was not 60 mins it was 2 hours and towards the end they hounded us at that presentation to become an owner after we told them we were newlyweds we just brought our house they did not care they kept pushing us to just do it and offering free vacation packages like dude we can’t do it this almost makes me not want to come back i just know next time to decline the breakfast and get our own i do not recommend this place unless you want to buy a resort or can say No and walk out smh next time we’re saying no to the presentation smh worst day ever and it was our last day there Ike dang man

I love, love, love Wyndham. This resort is beautiful; however, the dust was too thick and the cable didnt work for the first day and night and half of the second day!

Worst Wyndham we have ever stayed at...First we was giving a room that wasnt even cleaned yet..Then the air conditioning went out the second day and said they couldnt fix it that day in 90 degrees weather...never again

DO not agree to listen to presentation, not even the short 30 min one. We did. After 4 hrs we left. There was miscommunication between us and sales team. The head manager, wont post his name, was rude, condescending, and told us we had wasted his time after we had repeatedly said we didnt want to spend anymore money. He threw up his hands and berated us for not agreeing. Will never come here again. We were only here for a few days celebrating our 50th anniversary so one day was completely ruined. Would not recommend for this reason. Thank you Thomas Fetzer, QA officer, for being so understanding about miscommunication. Sales staff being passionate about their job is one thing, being rude and disrespectful is another.

Very poor valentines day party for residents. Food was served cold and in insufficient amounts. Warmers/steam tables were a must and were absent.

The majestic sun resort is beautiful but if your there for a Wyndham presentation, be ready to get harrassed for over two hours. There sales tactics are brutal and uncalled for. We were upfront from the beginning and told them we had no intention on buying, but they sure were persistent and eventually they got rude and nasty with there comments. My wife and I stuck it out and stood our ground but I feel bad for the others that were pushed into buying something they possibly didnt want. Again the resort itself is beautiful, but the presentation is out of a horror movie. We wanted to come back to this resort, but I just cant give my money to a company like this!!!

Great place to stay! Beach gets a little packed with all the large condos together with the little beachfront. They also line up the condo chairs and leave no room for guests who bring their own stuff.

Great location!! Quick walk to the beach with great amentities such as 4 pools, gym, walking trail, and concierge. We would definitely stay here again! At first I was worried that I wouldn’t like the area, but it’s perfect for the whole family. Everything is conveniently located which helps a lot when you have toddlers.

The resort rooms are recently redecorated & are nicely done. The kitchen is well stocked to have meals in the room. The staff is very helpful. They are available to answer questions. We needed a hand mixer & the housekeeping staff located one & brought it up to our room. Our family enjoys this resort & its proximity to the beach.

This was our first Wyndham vacation on the Discovery plan. We loved it so much that we became permanent owners! We saved money by purchasing groceries and making meals in our room. Would recommend Wyndham!

This review is for unit 464. Just stayed 2 nights and paid close to $800 for 2 adults and 2 kids in a 1 bedroom suite. This room has no view or balcony. Two windows face the open corridor for unit doors just like in a motel. LR had a bed sofa and once open the area that also doubles as kitchen is so small that it is claustrophobic. The last day LR fan light glass fell on my daughter, 20, when she pulled the switch. That gave us a scare. Luckily she seems to be fine. This unit is overpriced for what it offers and i would not even chose it had I known it would not have any view on top of parking lot. Pressured to attend a time share presentation also while checking in. The beach in front on a Friday was so overcrowded that it was unreal. Not possible to relax at all.

The units are starting to show their age. Its the typical destin vacation spot, however its proximity to the beachside is defeated by the fact that la dolce vita (private company) has laid claim to 95% of the coast line infront of the condos. If you want to set up next to the water you better wake up at 4am to claim the small area they allow you to be or walk a few miles. Otherwise you better pay for their umbrellas and chairs! All of the visitors and locals were super nice though so that was a highlight.

Directly across scenic gulf drive from the gulf. Rooms were spacious and clean. Only downside in our building the elevators were not air conditioned.

This was a subpar experience at a beachfront hotel. The photo posted on Expedia is misleading. It appears to me as though you have a reasonable expectation for an ocean view. the hotel is turned perpendicular to the ocean, and has two other non-Wyndham Majestic Sun properties that run parallel to the ocean in between that block your view. Upon check in, you are directed to guest services, where I was held up for almost an hour by a VERY aggressive salesman trying to schedule me for breakfast at IHOP, and promised things like free rounds of golf and free vacations in return. When I declined, he pressed. I told him Id discuss with my wife once we got settled and finalized our schedule, and he replied, is that her out in the truck? I can just go discuss it with her now. Appalling. The room was nice overall, other than the previous guests pubic hairs we found on the obviously unclean sheets. Do yourself a favor if youre looking for a relaxing vacation with a nice view--keep looking.
