Nice beach, clean with plenty of parking. Could get crowded on busy days. Swimming area is small, but entire area out from the beach remains shallow, less than 6 for several hundred feet from shore. Excellent sunsets.

Ample parking for cars, but the parking for millionaires and their yachts became very dear around noontime. There were 15 offshore when we arrived but that almost doubled. The boats like the beach because they can bring their trash to the recycling bins and maybe get rid of their own waste. The dogs get to come too. Some were even playing their yachtpit sound systems aimed at the beach people who walked in with just what they could carry on the well groomed trail (gravel road). The water remained beautifully clear and delightful despite the cigarette and cigar leftovers from walkers and boaters. Why is it okay to flick your smoke overboard or leave it in the sand? Beautiful day and the view over the tops of the rows of yachts was majestic.

I agree with some others about this hidden gem. Its hard to find areas on the water that arent private so i wouldnt be complaining. We pay a fortune for our lake front property and here you can enjoy it for free. Respect nature and keep it clean so we can continue to enjoy this place.

Love Thayer Beach ! Its so quaint and such a nice walk to get there ! Be prepared for mosquitos in the walk to the beach so bring bug spray here and some waters and your bathing suits and youll be just fine!!! They have a couple of portable potties for public use. Thats helpful. There are also trails you can hike here. Such a beautiful little spot found tucked away in the Colchester cove. A must see !!!

For beaches in Lake Champlain, this one is nice. It was quiet on our last visit. Theres a short walk through the woods to the water, and there were a lot of mosquitos. So you might want to bring bug spray!

Camping in the area. Stopped by a nearby store and asked if their was a place to sit by the water. A young man pointed us to this spot. A little walk down a path and it opens up to a beach. VERY nice spot to watch the sunset.

I absolutely love this parking lot. Sometimes, Ill park here several times, just for the experience. Chain parking as my friends call it! Seriously though, if youre in the mood for a great parking lot, this is the spot.

Good length of walk especially if carrying two Kayaks. Love the shallow of the lake where you can travel and see bottom. Great Sandy Beach

The only thing about rosetti park that is bad is the people that live there seem to think that they own the beach rights all the way down through which technically by Vermont state law a high-water mark is Beach rights to all people
