Clean facilities and nice people around. We had tons of fun playing pickle ball.

This is a great place to bring dogs, and kids, or just to play community softball Tuesday nights. Although, there is a signifigant loitering problem during the middle of the day, but there is a lot of space to run, play and enjoy the summer.

Always clean and well maintained. Pretty safe during daylight hours. Popular park for team sports of all ages. Tennis courts are always in use and a favorite among locals.

Very relaxing. The grass felt so fluffy and nice. My dog really enjoyed herself. We will be coming back for sure.

Community Park is beautiful and is well maintained. The field is enormous which allows people to play soccer, fly kites, play frisbee, and other games. The park also has areas to play baseball and Tennis courts. The parks restrooms are available for use and clean. There are picnic tables and a play structure for children as well as volleyball courts. This park has something for everyone to enjoy!!! Its clean and provides a nice atmosphere for families! I love coming here!!

I loved the park but I had to spend 30 minutes making sure my tools were locked up because of all the homeless lurking. Ive had 3 different times where my tools were stolen out of my truck in chico

A perfect day and location for this years national kite day. My family and friends had an awesome time. The park look beautiful. And see all those kites in the air at the time was mind blowing.

Most people who have been in Chico for any span of time have been to Bidwell Park. But an often overlooked gem is that of the East 20th Community Park. Large open fields with plenty of recreational activities are available with several leagues maintained by CARD for those who are looking for some team activities. It is an amazing place to also just sit back and enjoy nature.

Its a nice place to go And just relax, get you off of the main highway away from all the traffic if you have pets great place to stop. restrooms, walking, river access, playing fields.I suggest for anybody committing between Sacramento and Chico to stop and check it out.

It is a park, with wide open spaces to run around while pretending to be an airplane. Because of this place, and others like it, we enjoy reduced crime in the surrounding community.Why? Because recreation opportunities reduce stress and crime. Yes they do.

Used to very nice. Is not a good place for children anymore due to high crime, violence and drug presence. There is a very large homeless population as well that can be very aggressive at times.

20 th street park, same thing I guess. I have always said that , Community Park is the best kept 40 acres in Chico. Mostly because of the good hard work ethic by our City Parks Employees and Staff. So I always tell them how much I appreciate the grounds and their efforts. Im sure I speak for the greater population of Chico when I say that.

PArking is pretty difficult on game days. Nice fields though. Not very rain tolerant.

As long as you stay towards the baseball/tennis side of the park, and watch your children like a hawk, you can have a moderately stressful time here. Truth is, there are ALWAYS vagrants hanging around the playground, acting like it is their park, causing problems, and ive found two needles in the area of the playground. If you have the choice, go to Degarmo.

The lawns at the 20th street park are among some of the largest and greenest in this city of trees. This park offers something for everyone, from tennis courts to baseball and soccer fields, the Chico community park is a great place for enjoying clear days.

A nice place for softball, kickball and lots of picnic tables. A small track runs around the park for walking. Theres bathrooms - perfectly kept clean !!

This used to be such a wonderful park to go to with my granddaughter but they have let it become over run with transients with no morals or common decency. Not some place I would take a child to anymore. I cant believe the kids sports team still hold games there.

I grew up across the street for this park so holds a lot of value to me. It is spacious, has a great playground, several tennis courts, three volleyball courts, and a big bbq area.

Great place to fly a kite

I am a huge fan of the outdoors and of Chico, California so I spend plenty of time on my bike enjoying the scenery. The park is clean and seems well maintained. I didnt see any vandalism or evidence of homeless camps so I would have to say its a pleasant enough place for the entire family to have a picnic. And its a great place to simply take your shoes off a moment and feel the cool grass beneath your feet.

Big fields, strewn with trash from transients who dont use trash cans and yell White Power at you when youre trying to take your kids to the playground. But thats just me every time I visit, Im sure it doesnt happen to everyone.

Huge park with good fields for youth and adult sports. Tennis courts are nice and usually available for drop in tennis and pickleball. Lit at night. Sand volleyball court is nice addition. Good playground with good equipment. Why 3 stars? The transient and homeless population makes the park feel unsafe for kids and even adults at night.

Great park that is easy to access, I hate going there because of the homeless. Its scary and one time one of them started a conversation with me, but was on drugs or somthing because they were also talking like there was another person there, tripped me out especially since I live so close. I would give a better review once they fix the homeless there.

Large park with baseball diamonds and Tennis courts. Freeway friendly. Large picnic areas and fireplace cooking near tables.

The park has a pretty nice play structure for kids and a lot of green grass to run on. However, my enjoyment of the park with my 2 year old was dampened by the number of transient drug addicts hanging out

After fleeing from the fire that destroyed our lives and community and all of the comfort that we had been taking for granted for so long, the Rangers and Chico police made us feel a little less desperate and less homeless. Thanks guys and gals for making this whole disaster a little less hard.

Lots of homeless. Dont feel safe bringing my kids here while I play solfball. Last time I was there a couple of homeless would not leave us alone after we told them no.I was homeless once too and it sucked. There is help out there if you really need it, you can find it. But the homeless at this kids park is ridiculous!!!

Spent a beautiful Saturday morning and early afternoon here. BBQ was clean, tables were clean. Only draw back is the restroom is far from the BBQ area so had to walk far.

I would give 5 stars if there wasnt so many homeless. Other than that, this park is great.

Nice looking park, couldnt find a restroom despite a sign with no rr in sight. Not big on people playing music with swear words right near the playground. Quite a few drifters around also, but our kids had fun and there was a good amount of shade too!

So many transients. I am afraid to use the bathrooms. Many of the transients were out bathing in the sprinklers. On a positive note though, the tennis and pickle ball courts are very nice. The CARD employees work hard and do a great job keeping up this park.

I grew up going there now I take my children and its still a fun safe place to play for children and adults. Wide open spaces and just the right amount of shade to keep it shady and cool most of the day
