It would be nice if they put up a sign that says mandatory to have life vests on boat. Just got a ticket for not having vest lol now got to pay a hefty fine.

The river was super high after all the much needed rain

Costs $6 for day use. A few shady parking spots available. Bathrooms and water fountains. Some A.C. outlets for floatie pumps. Easy water access.

Good place to start floating down the Sacramento

Nice public boat launch on the Sacramento River just outside of Chico, Ca. On weekends when Chico State is in session the boat launch can be taken over by college kids floating the river as this is the starting point for them. On occasion in the winter after a big flood the ramp will be covered in silt making 4x4 a necessity for pulling out bigger boats.I like this ramp better than the Ord Bend, Pine Creek or Scottys boat ramps because I dont have to fight through the weeds clogging my boats jet .

Boat launch and parking area just off hwy 32. There is a self serve fee here.
