My kids have a blast and leave tired. There always seems to be other families with children to play with. I can relax or walk the circle ️ next the playground and then get a very small amount of cardio while the kids are entertained. The Fall colors are amazing!!!!

Dog friendly park with multiple fields and trails. Mostly families were there but still some people living from their vans in the parking lot.

Great family section of Bidwell Park. 2 ball fields, 2 playgrounds, disc golf, lots of trails.Also good spot for birding especially behind the ball fields in riparian area.

Its a beautiful place to go walking or to go spend time visiting with a friend. Its so peaceful.

I five this park four stars only because it doesnt have a real viable swimming area. Theres a basketball court, playground, clean bathrooms, picnic areas, and access to upper park, and while the creek does run through here it isnt as prime a swimming spot as the swimming hole across the street on Vallombrosa, or up the block at 5 Mile. Ive personally been to at least a dozen childrens birthday parties here, and its a great spot to gather families with small children.The park used to have the largest oak tree in the world (actually two oaks grown together) and after it fell it had only its stump. The stump is gone now, removed before vandals destroyed it.The baseball fields here are top notch, although Id be careful where you park if theres a game going. Ive seen more than one windshield get a smack from a well struck ball.

This was a nice little escape for me from the year 2020. Part of Bidwell Park, this spot has mercifully shaded parking and some very nice athletic fields. Of course trails that extend into other parts of Bidwell Park go through here. The place is scenic, well maintained, and has a feeling of being very safe. I got my first real experience of summer for 2020 here. This place is a treasure.

This park has base ball field, basketball court, the river, 2 playgrounds, wild forest area and walking trail. This place has a ton of parking area and it has public restrooms. Basically anything you could need for a great day out in the sun, this park has it. Great for families, great for parties, great for base ball games and great for basketball games. This park is also very close to other parks if this one doesnt suite you travel a 2 minuet drive in either direction and there are other parks. Have fun!

Accessible to almost virtually anyone. Play structures, baseball fields, 9-hole small disc golf course, space drinking fountains. Decent place. Good place to take a stroll around and explore the periphery.

Green algae in water. No beach area in dog area. Seems all money is put towards golf, clubs, etc. I understand they are lucrative for the park, however they are not the only users.

Nice multi-purpose Park. I go there for the disc aspect, and if I bring my boys Ill take them to the park. For disc golfers, its a great place to start learning The Craft, and a great place to hone your putting and mid-range. Also a great place to take your kids to teach them disc golf!

Our grandson and his friend had a great time at Camp Chi Da Ca!! Our daughter and son went over 40 years ago, love how this just keeps going & going!! Thankful for Chico traditions!!

Exceeded my expectations Im not sure if I was just there at the right time but there was plenty of Sun and plenty of shade. Bathrooms were very clean and kept up. The family and i really enjoyed our selves.

Reminded me of the times I was there in the 60s & 70s! Great fun.

Used to loved this park until today. Please be careful out there. Went today around 6pm with my girlfriend to take our kid to play. It was only us and another couple with their kid. Three random strangers, 2 guys shirtless with tattoos and 1 female were just in the playground area lurking and doing shady movements. One was keeping an eye to one kid and the other one to the other kid. They were simply going back and forth quietly, like planning to do something. We felt very uncomfortable and the other family as well, so we decided to leave. The 3 individuals were slowly following us, until more people showed up and they decided to just walked toward a white car parked and left.Definitely those three didn’t have good intentions. Please keep your kids safe. Don’t go there in the afternoon or when there’s not a lot of people.

The artfully designed urinal was fantastic, but the completely flooded floor made me wonder if I was standing in a sea of urine. #yolo

Multiple jungle gyms, baseball fields, and plenty of expansive green lawn areas. There are even horseshoe pits. Always nice and clean. The creek is right next to it too so you can hike along it or even jump in to cool off. Another great park in a town full of them.

I have such fond memories of my grandma packing us the best picnic in the world and taking it with my brother and I and our cousins to Hooker Oak Park. It is so beautiful and many spots to swim. Trails to run. Baseball fields.

One of my favorite places to visit. The disc golf course is pretty easy, and is a great course for beginners. Basketball courts, baseball fields, and bike paths in one park. And a playground for kids. Multiple locations for parties and events, and the bathrooms are the cleanest of any park in town.

Such a wonderful park. Huge baseball fields, lots of places for kids to play. Its clean no graffiti. I love watching or playing softball here.

Passed through here on a bike ride with a friend. Beautiful park, very well maintained. Its clean and safe and there are always families here playing with their children. This is one of my favorite places to ride my bicycle.

Great park with two separate playgrounds for children. Atmosphere is great with lots of large trees for shade. Parking can be very limited as there are also several ball fields which bring in larger groups of people.

Hooker Oak Park adjoining Upper Bidwell Park is a great place for your pets to run, children to play, and Baseball League games to be played and watched. Go. Youll have a ball.

Nice little spot for a dog meetup group on a Sunday. Careful of baseballs hitting your parked car. Saw it happen to someone else. Also, some limited creek access for days you are unable to walk your dogs - impending foot surgery in my case.

I really like this park. Its not usually over crowded and since theyve updated a lot of the structures we love going here! Perfect for picnics.

Lovely! There are public restrooms, a few playgrounds, disc golf, ball diamond, and beautiful trails weaving in and out of wooded areas. The park is popular with all ages which means young families need to keep a close eye on their young ones. 4 stars it of five as the park has a reputation of being popular with rattlesnakes, especially in the early spring.

Went to a baby shower there it was nice the weather was nice the area was clean only reservation I have is are the stability of the trees in the park the trees have the tendency to break and fall which a huge one did right before we got there they were quick to react and make it safe by putting warning tape around the area and they have a sign up in the play area for the children that says to look out and be aware of rattlesnakes

Stayed there after the camp fire, overnight, bathroom was very helpful.

Two times i have taken little dogs there and two different dog owners do not abide by the signs and let there dogs run free.what good is it if know one reinforces the rules.
