Such a surprise gift! We had no idea that we had such a beautiful recreational area so close to our home. Thanks Chesapeake for taking such pride in our parks! Grass was freshly mowed and looks so pretty!

Nice well maintained roads, great for hiking a little short for biking. Loads of cars so be vigilant.

Nice sized park with lots to do, oriented for kids of a wide variety of ages. Its clean and clearly well maintained.

Love this park....always clean and the trails are nice to run...they go alway the way around the whole park and baseball fields...there is also a dog park and a pond near by..

Park is open! Very cool kid place! Its is one entrance in and out, also next too dog park, but sprisingly not noisy! There are also bathrooms that were open and clean.The park has trails, we did a short field trail.The playground is the best for kids of all ages, lots of music makers, easy climbers for little kids and look out climbs for bigger kids. Very fun! Wear sun screen jot a lot of shade!

It would be a 5 star if the bathrooms were closer to the baseball fields lol

Always a fun park with Kids who are civilized and know how to play with each other. All the parents are kind and interact with one another.

Great park for kids ages 2 to 12. Has sports facilities for older kids and adults. Also has a dog park and public restrooms. Playground equipment is really unique and enjoyable for kids. It is also accessible for children with special needs.

This place was awesome! I really would have given a 5, however their are 2 improvements that I would suggest. First there should be at least 2 grills for every covered picnic area, and second there should be some electrical outlets in the covered picnic areas. Other than these 2 things, we had an amazing time!

Very nice park, it would be nice if all parks were set up like this one. Not sure what the girls means about the dog park, its an area 4dogs 2play & run, what else do u need?? Its one of the best parks ever!!! Plenty 4 everyone 2 do. Plenty of room for a lot of kids 2 play @ once with no problem & it never interferes with the dog park or the picnic area!!!

Amazing park with lots of different types of activities for kids of different ages and skill levels. Very clean, and despite always being busy, it never really feels crowded. Never had any negative interaction with other families--everyone always seems too happy to be unpleasant!

Nice dog park, but it says you have to Register the dogs to use. Otherwise has baseball and soccer fields in great condition.

Such a great park! Perfect for any age, and we loved the dog park too. Very open so our big dog got great exercise! Playground wise I highly recommend the parent/child swing for little ones. My one year old had a blast swinging with me.

Great and beautiful place for baseball

This is a wonderful complex for the community. Soccer, baseball and football activities are played here. The parking does get very crowded when baseball has opening day or all three sports have Saturday activities; however, parking is always available. You might have to walk a little further than you would like. There is a walking, riding, running rail that circles the whole complex. I have walked it during the dusk hours and feel safe. Lots of mosquitoes due to the wetlands, so use bug spray. There are 2 parks!!! One at each end of the complex. Both are nice, with benches and plenty of climbing for the kiddies.

This is my third visit with Hendrix. DC dog park is not divided into large/small, its a large fenced in area with luscious grass and areas to humans to sit. There is a water fountain with bowls for use, just in case you forget yours, mutt mitts, and lots of parking is available. Its located next to a playground for the kids and a running/jogging trail. There is no membership fee required.

The dog Park is open once more June 7 2020. The park as a whole has been maintained during COVID!

This is a great park with 2 different playground areas. It has multiple fields between baseball/softball, football and soccer. There are shelters for picnics, restrooms, a dog park and a walking trail. Great place to get outside.

Grand kids love this park! Very well done, lots of interesting equipment and even musical instruments!

There is a large really nice children’s play ground in the back, next to that is a large dog park that is probably 1/3 acre. There is a nice mile long walking path around the park and baseball fields. Never really crowded unless there are baseball games or other sports going on

Great park, my daughter loves the playgrounds. Would love to see a Disc Golf course put in.

Park seems to still be work in progress. No shade anywhere, all but one bathroom in center of complex is a portable, parking spots almost all gravel or grass. 2 big playgrounds for kids, 4 youth ball fields, and walking path round out complex.

Great playground for moms keeping track of multiple kids because of the fence that goes all the way around it. Bathrooms are clean and nearby. Fun equipment for a variety of kid ages.

We enjoy this park. Its a fun free place for the kids to play. Theres a shaded area with picnic tables. I do wish there were more swings - theres only 2 of each kind. And a few of the toys/activities need fixing/maintenance. The dog park is also great, but it could use more shade!

I usually love this park. The playground is awesome. The bathrooms were gross with trash, urine, and some of the sinks not working.

Awesome place for the kids, and dogs, but boy be sure you got a park license for your dogs, literally got a ticket for my two and I was the only one there.

Fields are in great shape, bathrooms are clean and have plenty of stalls. Food is good and they take credit cards. Over the course of the day the trash was overflowing, other than that, nice park. One of the DC teams had really bad attitude.

Toilets too far. Nice attendants, but concession foods took so long to get because they were undermanned. Getting back to rt 64 is a nightmare. Fields were well prepared.

My daughter had an away softball game at Deep Creak Park today. Wasnt that bad. Except the location of the restrooms. I had fun there, despite the rain fall, we were under a tent. Just needs to be finished, as it appears anyway .

Truly one of the best we have been to in the area. It had bouncy cushiony flooring all around the play area. It had some new toys Ive never seen and some really innovative things for young kids to play with it was just a really neat place. I was very impressed by it.

Playground is really nice with some really cool things for the kids to do. There is a drainage issue the city needs to address. There is actually slime on parts of the playground where there is standing water. This makes for a dangerous situation because anyone could very easily slip and fall. There should be more than one shelter so more people can get out of the hot beaming sun.

Nice place for the little ones to have fun and get some energy out, I wish they make it per age four or five years and younger, the older kids run like crazy and you really need to shadow your little one to make sure no one bump into him or get hurt on the playground.

Very nice park! Has water fountain, toys, and no dog poo! Every owner picks up after their pups which is awesome. Also, it is a big wide open space with 4 or 5 ft fences. All the other dogs were well behaved and just wanted to play. This was my dogs first trip ever to a dog park and she only lasted about 30 or 40 minutes before she was spent. Well worth the 20 minute drive. BUT, you have to register your dog and get a tag for chesapeake dog parks.

Great field for soccer and football. Be sure to spray for bugs, ticks and mosquitoes. But the park is kept up very well.

Love the new park. Has lots of neat stuff for kids to play on grassy area to kick or throw a ball and even a small track for Parents to walk. Best part is it’s fenced in.
