Great 4 acre dog park. Half of it is a sunny section with grass, and the other half is a lightly wooded section with a nice walking path around the outside. All fenced. Plenty of room to let it fly.

Good place for the kids to play. Plenty for the whole family from volleyball,baseball and even for the dog.

This park has a nice big open field for playing sports. There is a fenced in field for dogs. And there are two parks perfect for kids of all ages. There are restrooms on-site! And there is plenty of parking.

Love it. Been taking my mom there since she was 4 months old and never had an issue other than thr minor scuffle here and there. Great place even has a playground, sand volleyball court and baseball diamond.

Fun place to bring the dogs. They have a fully fenced area for small dogs and a separate larger area for big dogs.

This park is always cozy and not too crowded with kids. There is a separate dog park on the side which is always popular. The playground is not so big where you lose focus of your little ones. My only con is there isn’t a covered seating area in front of the playground.

Take my dog all the time. Great place to get some laps while your dog runs free.

Charmeck doesnt provide wordables anymore. So its a giant muddy mess in every Park. Especially after it rains. They also have decided to put the trash cans on the outside of the park. So, half the time people dont pick up their poop and if they do they forget the full poop bags in the park.

The Easter egg hunt with the kids. Its a nice park for small children . Nice play areas for ages 2-5 and 5 and up.

Neat little dog park here along with a nice baseball field, quaint playground, & super clean restrooms! The park is fairly new all things considered though it is nicely maintained.

I visit Shuffletown primarily for the dog park. There is a very large area for dogs over 20 pounds. Half of it is a wooded area and the other half is small gravel. A lot of people bring their dogs but also use it to walk laps. It is pretty busy on weekdays around 5p and weekend mornings.

Love the way you go through a building and on a trail to see all different kinds of animals. They even have wagons for little kids can ride in.

Great park for little kids. My boys enjoyed playing here. I like that the dog area is completely separate from where the kids play. There is also a volley ball area that seems to be kept in decent condition. There are no trees to provide for any kind of shade so I would suggest making sure you put sun screen on yourself and the kids as well as wear a hat or bring an umbrella if you plan to be out there for a while with the little ones. There is also plenty of parking.

It was good. Great size my dog loved the natural area of it. I did go when it was raining so would love to see it in summer when its busy.

No complaints! It would be nice if they would fix the fence for the small dog area though. My chihuahua slips through with no problem.

My dog loves this place. He knows where we are as soon as I pull up. Once off the lease hes rumping and making new doggy friends. So glad we found this place. We have large back yard but we take him there to be with other dogs.

Large. Lots of shade and benches. Walking path is nice. Can be muddy after recent rain. Generally friendly owners but many dont clean up after their dogs. I heard reports that a LG black snake had been seen on multiple occasions.

Half open area and half tree covered. Perfect for any time of day. It’s a really big area as well with lots of room for the pups to run aimlessly without getting lost.

This is a fairly nice dog park. The small dog side is (unfairly) smaller compared to the large dog side. The gates between the two parks open which allows park patrons to bring bigger dogs on the little dog side. Also cmpd sat right outside in the parking lot completely unfazed that people were bringing small children into the dog park when there are huge signs that said children under 12 not allowed.

We just visited the dog park today and it was very large with lots of shade and several benches. There were small pools with water as well as tubs of water for drinking. Our dog had so much fun! We will definately go back.

Good dog park for larger dogs. Small dog enclosure is...small. Some owners let dogs run with no supervision, so an occassy bite or fight does happen.

Our Goldendoodle enjoyed the dog park. It was very clean. The local dog owners were nice welcoming. All, except one dog owner, were attentive and responsive to their dogs.Our boys enjoy the play scape. It was nice to see a municipal park so clean and well maintained.

Great play areas for kids and dogs with a lot of open space to run. Better bathroom facilities than some parks in Meck county. Docked a star for the maintenance needed to the parking lot. If you park by the dog park, beware the ditch next to the pavement entering and exiting the dirt lot or you could end up with some costly repairs.

There were some dogs there that needed a little more owner discipline. Fortunately for me, my dog stays close to my side and we had a nice walk. Overall it was OK. Nice size and some fresh water available.

The 3 star rating is due to the fact that the dog park is a decent dog park for a dog, however I have had a few negative experiences that I feel are worthy of posting. My dog loves the park. I like the fact that it has plenty of space for running. The largest area is gravel, open and flat. The other part of the property has plenty of shade. Unfortunately with most dog parks the rules dont apply to some people. My dog is still a puppy (7months) and hasnt been successfully trained to not jump on people. A woman brought her toddler in (children under 12 not allowed) and my dog knocked the poor child down three different times. My dog commenced to licking the child and trying to pull the ribbons out of the childs hair. The mother was unaffected by this and didnt seem alarmed. I ended up leaving because my dog took a liking to the toddler preferring to play with it over the other dogs. I was afraid the child would get hurt. Another time a young adult brought a dog in and seemed unsure of the dog even to the point of leaving the dog on a leash inside the fence. The dog tried to attack my dog...I left. My dog seemed to scare a puppy that was only 3 months old (also not allowed), I left again. Today my car was broken into. Someone broke the car window and stole my purse and other items. This park is very convenient for me but Im not sure if Ill be back. I may try some of the county parks that require a small fee and registration. This will be a solution to the rule breaking, but unfortunate for my dog as he will not be able to play as often as these parks are not as conveniently located.

Love the dog park here! It is our go-to park for outings with our Great Dane. Such a pretty and spacious area for the dogs to play and a nice mix of shady and sunny spaces. Lots of trees make it feel really natural, which our dog really loves.

Took our three and a half year old here and the playground was perfect for him.

Big dog park with plenty of shade trees and water is available. Usually some kiddie pools available for dogs who like to get wet. Ajay has septated areas for large and small dogs, but everyone seems to just use the large dog area.

This park is filthy! The park is not kept up by the city. The dog parks are unbelievable. The grass is too high expecially the small dogs park. No running water and weeds have grown out of control.

I have only been to this park two times. Unfortunately it rained each time. The park has nice facilities for kids and a dog park fenced in. This park is built on a former drag strip. The asphalt for the race cars can still be found. Looks like you might be able to jog on them. Lots of under brush in that area though. Easy access to the park good parking. Long Creek runs along the edge on its journey to the Catawba River.

I take the kids that I babysit to this park all the time. There is a great variety of things for them to play on as well as a volleyball and baseball section. There is a trail you can walk on around the park and there is even an enclosed dog park connected!

You just have to accept the fact that people are rude and could care less about respecting others space. Facility is great, the visitors not so much.

Stopped on for a few minutes on the way to the airport with my pup she has has missed the dog park. We moved last year to a town with no dog park... What?! :-)

My dog and I love this park. Most owners are cognizant of their animals and keep a watchful eye. Then there are the owners who have no voice, hand, eye or ANY command over their pet. A woman came today and from the onset her 2 dogs were out of control. Everyone else packed up their pets and left as if they KNEW the owner/pets. I had just arrived. My dog and I headed toward the back side of the park, her dogs pursued mine. We changed direction, her dogs pursued. Asked her to control her dogs, 1 being pit bull about a year or less, the other a little older, mine a husky at 9 yrs. One of her dogs continually tried to mount from the rear, while the other jumping up from the front. My dog circled away and tried to follow me but her dogs continued to pursue my dog. Just because its a dog park does NOT mean you turn over your responsibilities at the gate. As if dealing with a disobedient child, when they wont behave, remove them from the park. Its not the dogs fault but that of an untrained owner.

Nice park and playground areas, but no swings. Bathrooms are usually decent. My main complaint is that although there is a dog park adjacent to it, some irresponsible owners still let their animals walk, per and poop in the areas that children play in.

This is my dogs favorite place.

Very big park with an open field area and a pine forest. Places to sit and plenty of trashcans, but about 75 turds that didnt get picked up. No one picks up after their dogs. Especially in the woods.

First time at this park. Our dog had a blast. Friendly people and pets. LOTS of running room.

Good dog park. Nice playground. Walking/running path is very short though; would be nice if it went all the way around the park.
