Fantastic facility. Wish the lights were on a schedule so you dont just turn up and its dark. Also cannot wait for a generous party to help get a real track there for everyone to use. Look forward to seeing it develop over the next few years

Went there to cast my vote. The Sports Center is currently under renovation. However, went to vusit in a different building at the complex. The building is well maintained clean and sanitary.

Decent small park. Located hidden behind a Senior center. The equipment here is NOT shaded and so if you go during the day in the summer beware of burning yourself on very hot equipment. The kids had to just run around because everything except the rope jungle gym was too hot to touch. This would be nice to go to when it’s cooler out or the sun isn’t out.

Fairly new tennis courts that were well constructed with excellent lighting for at night playing. Keep in mind these are busy courts.

Also home to Queens University athletic fields. Excellent facility with ample parking

Visited the park by the senior center. Nice park. Has exercise equipment, a small toddler playscape, and a huge rope jungle gym. No swings, only one small slide. Its on the smaller side but its clean, well-kept and has rubber turf rather than mud.

We love this park, kids playground, track, tennis, walking trail with shade, two playgrounds, awesome.

Only reviewing the playground. Equipment was kind of old and beat up. My son still had fun but I wouldnt come back. One plus is the younger play area is wheelchair accessible and has seat swings with harnesses.

We try to take the kids here when going to Costco. Its a pretty fun park with different than the usual stuff. Kids enjoy it al lot and heck I do too I their little spinners lol

Small but nice

Beautiful park. Intergenerational! Outside exercise equipment thats safe enough for the kids. But the kids will be busy enjoying the spider rope climb and a game on the monkey bars that challenges kids and adults to move and move quickly to push the buttons. The surface is rubber and the area is spacious. My new favorite park! My teenager usually hates the playground these days, but even she admitted how much fun she was having.

This is the best tennis facility Ive been to in the Charlotte area. Restrooms are available and plenty of parking most times. Handicap parking available by courts for those of limited mobility. Due to the quality of courts the place is busy always.

Great small park with lots of stuff for the kids to play on and some exercise equipment for the industrious adult.

Excellent tennis courts and fields for other sports, such as field hockey. It is a nice area and set up for children as well.

The Tyvola Senior Center is a comfortable venue with fitness/wellness suite and exercise classes, etc. For many seniors, this venue creates a community.

This park is awesome for kids and adults, it has some options to exercise while your kids are on the playground.

Many tennis courts that are nice, however there is always some event taking place, check the County website before trying to play there.

Attended Zodiac Ballroom Dance Club Dance. There are different activities all day long at the center!

A fantastic mountain biking trail. A bit technical and portions rocky though.

I am taking swimming classes there and I love it! The womens shower and bathroom could be a little cleaner but other than that, great place! My swimming instructor was awesome. I forgot his name but he is the light skinned African American guy with the dreadlocks.

Nice bike trails. Sweet jump lines.

Great Greenway trail head. Lot of interesting things to see. Not the easiest trail I have walked, still really enjoyed it.

As far as the outdoor playground structures, these are hidden gems for people who live in Charlotte. Just around the corner from the larger, more popular Park Road Park, the 2 separate playgrounds at Marion Diehl park offer two things that are hard to find elsewhere: shade for a hot summer day and a small, nearly enclosed area that makes it easier to keep track of your kids!The playground behind the pool building is literally 10 degrees cooler in the summer. I dont know of a park closely that has as much shade! And the playground near the Tyvola Senior Center is a small, but really fun area to let your kids play and you can watch them while sitting on the small brick retaining wall. You can even let them bring a little scooter or skates and they can circle the playground. Just make sure to come early on a summer day because the equipment will burn you by 11am when the sun is out!

There are 2 playgrounds, one for 5 and up by the senior center and a toddler area behind the rec center. I highly recommend it!

This facility is made up of soccer fields and tennis courts and a childrens playground area. This is a Queens college facility but is open for the public as well.

This is a nice convenient place to run. I especially like the more circular esign of the track. Just watch for rough spots on the pavement.

My son loved it!

Its a very nice facility very clean and orderly. The staff are very friendly and helpful in all matters. The water exercise teacher is a lot of fun to work with she is very nice and cares about her students.

Unique playground my 8 year old loved it!

They have the coolest outdoor exercise equipment to use to get trim and fit. You can run, lift and sculpt your body while the kids play just a few feet away. A must do for active adults and families!

I like what they do here. There are lots of events for children and adults with disabilities. They teach basketball, swim lessons and even partys for our kiddos. Great place to go!

Im not super impressed with the facilities. Theyre too far from the campus and not as conducive for teaching and training which we were doing. The sports complex IE the field are the track or nice once you get outside and it may have nicer some facilities underneath that I did not visit.

These new tennis courts are fantastic.

We live in Raleigh, NC , But my boyfriend works here in Charlotte. So we come visit alot. Anytime we come we come to this park, and my 2 year old son has a great time.

Plenty of brand new, well lit tennis courts with tons of bleachers. Just be aware that the bathroom facilities still are under construction and have been for quite a long time.

Very nice facility & pool.

Nice indoor heated swiming pool. Open all year round, this makes it good to swim in winter when outdoor pools are closed. During summer the kids can play on soccer field, jogging track and a monkey net close by. One of my favourite place to take my kid.

Great little spot for fun filled day. My wife and I attended the SAC Tournament Championship game with Wingate Mens Lacrosse team beating Queens University of Charlotte Mens Lacrosse team. They have great courts, fields, and playground areas.

Went to swim. The pool is warm (above 75). The facility is older but clean

We love going to the little park here. Small enough to keep track of the kids. It has workout equipment, obstacle course, running track, walking trail, another park nearby, and a giant net for the kids to climb

Super great park for kids. Even has an interactive area for racing the clock.On the other side of the park, there is work out equipment for adults. A track also goes all the way around!

Raised garden beds, awesome shelter with 5 large wooden picnic tables, a few benches to sit on, a sensory table, a cool looking little kids play area and a not too big big kids playing area. the Rec Center is also attached there are tennis courts, and what looks to be some type of trails on the other side of the very large parking lot.

There is a fantastic playground here. The rec. center people are always kind. There is actually a second playground (a bit older with swings) behind the building.

Good for small kids

The playground is very cool with a big climbing rope dome thing, and electronic games incorporated into some of the play equipment which is innovative and fun. Theres also adult gym equipment which makes the playground multi-generational.

It is a wonderful place swim and relax.

The Senior Center offers Free exercise classes to Seniors. They are wonderful and a lot of fun.

An old Charlotte rec center. Its a good place to have a group gagathering or to grab some grub and have a picnic..

I go here for the mountain bike trails. Theyre some of the more technical trails around. By far one of my favorite trails in the area.
