Beautiful little spot to get away from noise and people. I enjoy the multiple pathways to take. The gardens grown and the thousands of good animal owners whose pets have moved on. Great benches, awesome trees and city buildings surround this little wonder near the city.

Visited during a pandemic, but made the best of it. Went swimming in the fountain because all the pools were closed. Millenial central with all thier cute dogs all over the place and squirrels for them to chase.

I love this park. One of our favorite activities is a late lunch at a local restaurant and then sitting in the park to let it settle. Amazingly quiet given the location. A real city gem.

The forth ward is charlottes hidden treasure. The historical homes and buildings are so well preserved and taken care of. They are a true testament of love. The park is so well taken care of. It has the feel of a small town in itself. Luckily twice a year there are tours of gardens and homes so you can actually get a glimpse inside the front door. Tickets usually sell out very fast. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who reallly appreciates architecture and gardening.

I call this place The Central Park of Charlotte for a good reason. You dont even feel like youre in a big city because its so quiet. Theres fountains, a playground, and people walking doggos everywhere. The only thing missing is an ice cream shop.

I came here for my graduation pictures based off of the pictures provided on google...I was bamboozled. The park is small and while it is a nice place to take pictures it wasn’t what I expected. All of the fountains were off and the “vibrant” flowers were little small flower beds. The pictures were well taken because the park looks nothing like that

Beautifully kept, with century+ old oaks keeping eternal watch. There is something for everyone who enjoys the simple pleasures of a visit to the park - shaded, winding trails, beautiful flowers (both native and exotic), a playground for the kids, and large open fields for the active (two and four-legged ).

Its nice for a Park in the heart of the city. Its well maintained, has lots of greenery, and free 2hr parking. Its not terribly big if youre looking for a place to walk. Its has a fairly small play structure and a few swings for both bigger and little kids but none for special needs. Its in a nice neighborhood with historic homes.

Wonderful park, it is quaint and secluded. Never overly crowded with plenty of space to sprawl out and read, throw a football or just relax. The only park in uptown with a natural feel to it. A fantastic place to find some peace from the bustly city that is Charlotte.
