Great pool, great location, open year round. Ive heard its actually heated in the winter. Not sure if thats true or not still but Ive been going there for 20 something years lol. Now I get to take my son there!

The pool is priced right just dont expect to be able to use the shower because there is always a line of homeless people using the shower facilities. Not worth the wait. I saw a guy wash his dog in the shower so that was gross.

This is a beautiful park featuring a geothermal (heated) swimming pool. Restrooms with showers. A beautiful park with nice trees, picnic tables and a bridge with water. I was in a homeless situation after suffering a big fire that took my home, business, and everything i owned. I was living in a camper on my truck. I could work and eat and sleep in my vehicle but i needed a place to shower. This park offers free showers daily. I soon moved into a rv. I am forever greatful for the use of the showers.

What a cute little pool!

I really enjoy going to Big Stacy on a regular weekly basis simply because the people are nice and the pool is kept up daily. It is free to those in the neighborhood and not to mention the pool is heated and open year-round. Great for familys with kids and fabulous for those who enjoy doing laps.

Iconic Austin nature spot in the middle of the city. Big Stacy pool, built as part of Roosevelts Works Progress Adminstration firing The Depression and FREE FOR EVERYONE, is open year round,filled from a hot spring in the winter time. Its one of those amazing wonders that makes Austin Austin.

Very nice little neighborhood park

The restroom was a little dirty, but not excessive, considering its a public pool in a major city. It wasnt overly crowded, so it was very enjoyable

This is the park and public pool that surrounds the Blunn Creek that runs through the SoCo area. The pool is open year round and has a heated pool for that winter swim youre just now thinking about The park offers a beautiful tree canopy and winding pathways large enough for strollers, wheelchairs, bicycles, and pedestrians alike. Theres an elementary school located on the East side of BIG Stacy park and the neighborhood is warm and inviting. I love this park

This is the go-to pool for my grandson and myself. Always a friendly group of lifeguards and Crystal clear cool water.

I love the way the park is and I love the word they have a pool would have showers for people to you know relax and have fun with your kids and you can just jump in the pool by yourself and you know out too hard everything around you you see all these kids having fun at the family is doing things you miss at least I have a family 7 kids are no longer around me anymore but I love Stacys Park

From hobos to investment bankers, this pool attracts all types. I guess because its in Travis Heights it pulls from the beautiful neighborhood homes as well as thw creek which is home to many vagrants. It can get a little sketchy and there are some scuzzy people but for some reason its probably one of Austins best pools. Its super laid back and the water is always warm.

A great pool with plenty of swimming lanes and showers. Id recommend using the old showers instead of the new ones- theyre not ventilated well and theyre so hot youre drenched in sweat by the time you can dry off and get dressed. The life guards are very friendly too!

Very nice riparian stream and Park in the midst of an Urban area. Cool moon tower, warm spring fed pool. You can swim here year round! And the pool is free! Take that, you Chicago area Park districts!!! We like Austin!

The best part of this pool is its completely FREE! I love to take advantage of the designated lap swimming times during the week and I wish this place opened slightly earlier on weekends before it gets too hot out. The water is well maintained and almost always is warm so even on a cool morning, you can go here!

This is my favorite park to go with my 2 year old. 2 playgrounds and sets of swings. She loves to watch the swimmers in the public pool. Someday she will get to swim there.

Year round free pool, fed by warm springs (though unfortunately now chlorinated). Free public showers make it popular with people forced to live in their cars.
