Very tranquil and beautiful place, right next to the courthouse in Austin TX so if you have jury duty or other court business, this is a great place to sit and unwind during lunch or session break... Just a few minutes walking distance away!

Lots of shade, kind of quiet. Nice getaway, despite being in the city. Big trees. A few covered tables. Sidewalks. And a gazebo/platform. Winding sidewalk right through the middle that takes you down a small hill. Gets even quieter there.

So Sad, All the Trees are dying or dead. Half the trees are brown and leaves are falling off in middle of August!! I called 311 and operator is taking a report. COA Please Water These Old Trees. SAVE THE TREES!! I might call the local news station KXAN see if they can do a report on the news on this!!! Thank you, Rose

No stars for this place. To many vagrants camping there. I feel like I have to be looking over my shoulder at all times.

Beautiful, peaceful park in the city centre with lush green grass and dense shade trees. There is a large white gazebo which can be reserved for events by dialing a number listed.

Attended my first InfoWars/Alex Jones rally, today! I heard some amazing speakers give speeches regarding the preservation and protection of one of our Constitutions most precious freedoms, and that is our freedom of speech! Alex Jones himself even made an appearance, and gave an impacting speech on the state of America. Wooldridge Park was the perfect setting for the event!

It has a lot of grass to sit or lay down, trees for shade, a wooden gazebo for small parties. If not reserved, like if you just pass by and chill for a little bit, it has no electricity neither water. Not restrooms at all with or without reservation.

1-acre Wooldridge Square Park is right up there with Zilker and Barton Springs for iconic Austin parks, and may surpass them when you consider its central role as gathering place, political podium, and shaded amphitheater. It appears in the original Austin master plan. Lyndon B. Johnson kicked off his 1948 campaign for US Senate in this park. Its 100th anniversary came in 2009 and in 2013 it was significantly renovated. Today bands play in the gazebo, children learn chess with pieces almost as tall as they are, downtown workers eat lunch at the picnic tables, tourists rest on their way to the Austin History Center across the street.
