This park is by our house thats why were there a lot they keep it nice and restrooms are decent

One of my all-time favorite! Parks here in Amarillo off the Dumas highway! Ive have been coming to this park ever since I could remember. Im a Amarillo native and I know all the parks here in town and this one always is the most versatile parks for activities. The City zoo, is here. Wonderland is here there is multiple dog parks, and it has one of the best frisbee golf courses in the Texas Panhandle!

This is a beautiful, peaceful place. There are numerous playgrounds for the kiddos with large fishing ponds and plenty of shade trees. The Amarillo Zoo and Wonderland Water Park are also snugged in to this park. The park is kept very clean and the groundwork also includes nature trails. This is an ideal place to spend time with the family. The only thing not to like about this place is that you cant stay forever. In its entirety, this is a kids dream, and Im a big kid at heart. I was there for 10 minutes before catching a nice catfish that made my nephew dance around. Admission is free. The fishing is free. The good times are free. But the rapture reflected in your childrens eyes is PRICELESS!!

Best park ever grew up here

Very clean , peaceful, quiet and close to store and highway. Nice bathroom and picnic areas.

The picnic area with gazebo was nice until it got dark. I am not sure why there are not many lights turned on.

Took my Granddaughter to play and we had a blast.

Love dog parks. My dog needs to run and smell everything.

Love the dog park however dont love the owners who use the park as their dogs personal toilet and then refuse to pick up their waste in the bags the park provides. People are disgusting...

Kids love coming here lots to do and see and play on.

We were passing through and find this dog park. Unfortunately the pond and big dog park had plastic and trash in the pond and all around the dog park area. On a plus side, the trees did help shade the area.

Best park in Amarillo hands down. Its Big and it has water most most days you can find a private place to park and most of the time it will have shade lol. Hell more tress in Thompson then all of Amarillo ha ha I will try and remember to get pics soon

Beautiful park with large trees, which makes for lots of shade. The only ‘bad’ thing is the stagnant water around the little lake.

I would rate this a 4 or 5 star park usually but we went there to fish today and were very upset to see a lot of dead fish floating, as a fishing enthusiast it was very upsetting to see the habitat disturbed by some kind of remote control boat exhibition or race because the boats are hitting the fish and killing them then they are just leaving the fish in the water to die. This is one of the few fishable places in Amarillo and we spend many days there fishing and to see some of the memorable fish we have caught and released floating was disheartening to say the least. People need to respect nature or take their boats somewhere else

This is a nice park with multiple play areas. My grandchildren love going there.

It has alot of different parts to it. Dog park, pond, playground. And the zoo is right behind it

The City of Amarillo really does its self a disservice by neglecting this park the way they do. I dont care what side of town it happens to be on. They need to clean up the creek and fix the lights so its no so dangerous after dark. Dont get me started on the zoo.

Fun place

I enjoy that families of all ethnicity can come together and share this park like one big family. There are a few downsides such as the gang related activities that happen closer to sunset.

Great place for everybody to build a get together you can cook out you can watch ducks and geese on the water you can bring your remote control boats out there and run them out there. Is also very convenient that the zoo and the public pool is there also and also right next door is the golf course. I have a lot of memories whenever I was a young adult cruising around it in my car along with a bunch of others just having fun and a good time

Moved to Amarillo from the Dallas area where we enjoyed many beautiful parks and was looking for something similar here in West Texas. This park did not disappoint with the beautiful trees, grass and pond. Only downside was that there wasn’t more sidewalks to walk around the park with a stroller

Its a good place to get some dice golf in just would like to know where 2 cors starts a map of it would be awesome

They could do so much more with this huge park but since its on the North side dont see it happening no basketball courts pool is down there should be way better playgrounds its sad!

My friends and family have picnicked here for over 20 yrs. It has always been pleasant. Grounds are pretty well kept. Brings back alot of memories!

A really nice park with tons of places to get out and walk. This park is fairly well maintained with the exception of the restroom facilities - they are terrible. There is really something for everyone here, including places to picnic and grill. Wonderful walking path around the lake. Lots of ducks for the kids to enjoy watching.

Gteat place. Picnics, frisbee throwin, or good dog park(big and small). Wonderland park (later in season).

Dog park is a good place to let your dogs run free. Has access to a pond. Has some trash by the pond. Little tunnelling for them to run through. Not much for the dogs to play on but if you just want to let your dog stretch its legs this place is OK for that.

Its a good place but the people at the concession stand in the pool or mean. Would not sell us food or drinks.

I love playing frisbee golf so I spend a lot of time in the park. It has a ton of potential but if I had kids I would not bring them on the course to much broken glass everywhere. But its getting better every year!

I love taking my children to this park. Restrooms are close and if one playground is a little to packed I can always just choose one of the others that are located in the park.

Zoo, amusement park, disc golf, ponds, walking trailing, and golf course next door. The only negative is the roads and the constant working having to be done.

I just wish the dog park wasnt full of goose poop.

This is for the DOG PARK... Trash is everywhere, in the pond, all over the yard... not much for the dogs to play on besides one little tube thing and I guess everyone already knows this place isnt awesome because Im the only one here... I dont recommend this area.

Great park, beautiful old trees, a couple of nice playgrounds. The bathrooms are not great, though.

A friend and I played part if the disc golf course the other day. It was a cool course, but theres a lot of trash and broken glass around in some areas.
