This place is FANTASTIC. For several reasons. 1- the museum is build on love for the past camping and nature enjoyment. 2- the examples are in excellent restored / original shape and really reflect the past. 3- the admission is free BUT the VALUE is PRICELESS! 4 and Last The RV store has great people that know their product and are just plain NICE to BUY stuff from.So GO and enjoy a great look at the past AND consider supporting the owners by making a purchase!

Awesome museum! If you have time to spare definitely stop! It only takes about 20 min extra to your adventure! Everyone was so friendly when we went inside and the guy who took us over to the museum worked with willy nelson way back when! You also can go inside and look in all the RVs which is a huge bonus! A great piece of history in the area!

This is a free museum on the back of an RV dealership but dont spend a second thinking they will sell you something. They have clearly put this museum together at great expense just because of their love of RVs and motorcycles (plus a few other slices of Americana). It is well laid out with good documentation of the history of each item. It is not only an RV museum but there are a lot of classic Harley-davidson motorcycles as well, one dating back to WWII. Im glad we stopped in for an hour.

The display in the museum is made in the most impressive way.We felt very special in light of the fact that the owner of the place, welcomed us personally. We entered his office and there we were also informed about his connection to the State of Israel and the Hebrew language.Admission is free. The place is highly recommended for a visit

I went to the RV museum today and drove up five minutes before closing. MOST places would just say sorry, we are closed. Gina not only kept it open for me 20 minutes but also got a golf cart to help me over. I have a spinal cord injury and cant walk. After, she drove me back to my car and gave me a cold water. I am extremely impressed. The museum is nice with a lot of history. I highly recommend this place. 5***** stars.

Fantastic place if you’re an rv and camper/trailer nerd (like I very much am). Some beautiful classic specimens here and you get to walk through them and admire things up close. Plus it’s free! It’s all located in a big hangar with no AC though, so be aware that if you’re here in the summer, you’re gonna be suffering a bit. Worth it for me, but it killed the fun for my kids. Also, like most places in Texas, masks don’t exist

It was a Joy for me to meet the owner Jack we had a long conversation about many different things it was a privilege of mine to meet him and just have a chat, I would highly recommend anyone to stop and see this museum and if you get a chance to meet Jack you wont regret it.

We loved this museum! My husband and I took out time poking around in all the vintage RVs. There is a book to sign. People from everywhere to visit. Two couples from Ireland had visited earlier in the day. It is well worth the stop and it is free! There are some beautiful motorcycles there too. While we were there we decided to look at the new RVs that are for sale there. It is a dealership too. No one bothered us as we climbed in and out of campers. They had a good sale going on too. It was a lot of fun. I would highly recommend it.

This museum was the coolest attraction Ive seen in Amarillo. If youre into camping and want to see how it was done in the past, check this place out. The people are super friendly and will be happy to show you any of the new ones too.UPDATE - While there i spoke to a guy in the service department about a problem i was having with my camper axle. Instead of trying to sell me an entire axle like the RV shops in Louisiana did, he sent me to a local alignment specialist. It solved the problem and saved me a ton of money. This RV dealership is the first honest dealership Ive run across. They rest are all out just to get your money. I highly recommend this RV dealership and Shortys Bear for any alignment problems.

This place is a treasure! Located within an RV dealership, this free musuem has a collection of vintage RVs, RV and camping accessories and motorcycles. Walk through the RV store/office to tower musuem. Plenty of helpful staff to point you in the right direction. Jack and his partner Trent started the musuem in 1988 and have amassed an impressive collection including one of the original airstreams (1935) and the bus from the movie RV. Guests can walk into many of the RVs and find collection of gadgets and toys from the era of the RV. My 8 and 10 year olds did NOT want to go to a other museum, but quickly changed their toon and had a blast seeing how much had changed compared to our RV. You can spend as little as 30 minutes or a couple of hours depending on your time available and interest level. Parking is a little tight; if youre planning on arriving in your RV Id suggest calling ahead and doing a good map recon.

Great location off I27, 2 exits south of I40. We arrived in our 23-ft RV towing our Jeep. The parking lot in the front of the Jack Sisemore Traveland dealership is compact so we parked on the street by the curb, past the YELLOW line. The vintage RVs and motorcycles were in great condition. The RVs in the lot are very attractive too. In the store, we met Jack S. himself and complimented him on his delightful museum collection.
