This is the perfect place to take your kids for a break while shopping at the plaza. I would say it is ideal for kids 3-10, although my man-child of a husband also had a blast. They have lots of creative, interactive activities that the kids enjoy. There is a play area outside with a cool play gym, slide, and sand box. There is also an indoor room with a magnet board with shapes, peg board, wind tunnel and many other things. It was free for us to play and we donated so kids can continue to enjoy. There is a cool and quirky toy store on the first level. The staff were so nice and friendly. This was a family-favorite!

What a great hidden treasure! This place was a blast for my kids of varying ages between 6-15. We spent a few hours in the play areas and exploring the sensory toys, which were a hit for my children with Autism. As this place is a non-profit I highly recommend visiting to make a donation or make a purchase.

We stopped here with our young kids. It was such a welcome break from the Dont Touch galleries and gift shops! The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and super sweet with kids. We didnt plan on buying anything, but their prices were very reasonable and there was a great selection; we did walk away with a couple of cool games and toys. The outdoor play area was awesome (and FREE!). Our whole family could have been entertained for hours, between playing, browsing, and watching the koi.

Fun free place for our children to play. Beautiful, unique toy store with kind knowledgeable staff. They are a very active part of our small community. Very grateful to have them in Taos.

If you have kids or need a gift for a child of any age, this is the place. Unique and contemporary items and a changing assortment during the year. Also has a great playground and playroom. Always a hit. The only problem is getting the kids to leave.

If you are visiting the square with your kiddos and they are bored with all the shopping do yourself a favor and stop by this place. Such an amazing outdoor area and tons of fun and games inside too. I wish Id have known about this long ago!!

Highlight of our day in Taos. I have a 2 year old who loved every second. They have fun indoor play stations to try out some of the toys. They have a wishing well and a upstairs indoor play area. Outside they have a huge play place. My child was too little and was afraid of it, but it was neat. They also have a smaller playplace for younger kids,a sand box and lots of other little things. Best part was that it was free to do. They do have donation boxes to help support them. Definitely check this place out of you are in town.

Awesome good time for kids of all ages we all had great time i loved the pirate ship and sandy beach my daughter loved the outdoor ply gym and scooters while my sons enjoyed the great handmade costumes,exploring toys,the slide and the giant wall of legos.Mean while my husband got to enjoy a minute of rest in shade on there big comfortable couch even he was happy. This is one of the coolest places I have ever been, and was great for my little girls. Besides being an awesome toy store, the staff was super nice and helpful. They have a play area outside AND a craft/play area upstairs. Its right next to the plaza and it was just super cool.

My family loves to visit twirl. The playspace outside is amazing and the toy selection is great.

We love Twirl! Its sick a fun place to spend an afternoon with my daughter. There are tots and activities for all ages and they also host different community events.

Ive stopped in this shop at least once a year when going through Taos, but this is the first year Ive had my kids with me when stopping and it was such an amazing experience I had to write a review. The toy store is awesome and has toys from legos to wooden trains and everything in between. They offer lots of environmentally conscious toys which in my mind would warrant a great review all on its own but it is the staff and the fantastic play area that really put it over the top. Having never brought my kids with me before I never realized how big and free the play area is. It was full of lots of great people willing to help my son learn the ways of this really cool place. From slides to sandboxes and bridges its colorful and well kept. Pretty awesome.

Ok have to say took my infant but we the parents had fun too the toy shop has so many toys to pick from, the playground was fun to for my curious almost 1yr old loved it and if you go upstairs of the toy shop they have a room with toys which kids get to play and interact with.. my baby loved the duck outside the toy store left crying because she wanted to take the duck... did buy toys hopefully help support twirl ....THANK YOU for the free playplace and playground

What an amazing little oasis for children. We spent hours here playing and exploring the playground and toys. They have a diverse selection for all ages and very knowledgeable staff. There are fun displays for the children to try out toys. We left with a wonderful Brio train set for our little one. We will be back next time we are in Taos.

This is a must if you have kids. They can play for hours on the outdoor playground. Such an amazing place.

This store has such unique gifts and is such a vibrant part of Taos. The playground is one of a kind. Truly a special place. Got gifts for my kids and some tee shirts and buttons for friends.

Great activities for free for kids

In my opinion, this is the worlds best toy store. It is an absolute must-see when you visit Taos, even if you dont have kids (which I dont). Have you ever seen that cheesy movie Mr. Magoriums Wonder Emporium? This is pretty much that in real life. Lots of toys to play with, a fun outside playground, friendly staff, and the cutest duck seat thing out front that makes for fantastic photo opportunities. Twirl is my favorite.

Super fun, best park in Toas. Safe. Everyone was friendly and its just south of free parking.

Before visiting I found this place and knew we had to bring our 5 and 2 year old!!! They had a blast I have never seen anything quite like it and I loved the fact that it was free (they do accept donations)! We will be in Taos for a few day and we are definitely taking them back to burn some energy!!!

The outdoor play area is amazing! The toy store can be a bit pricey but has some great toys. The checkout lady can be a little rude and a sergeant with all their rule (i.e. only pop the gun three times per person)

Stumbled upon this place with our 3 year old and 6 month old while on vacation. The shop was brimming with fun toys and educational items, but we loved the magical play area out back the most!

Very nice toy store with what seems to by quality products. Not the typical ToysRUs plastic garbage. Service could have been more helpful, but otherwise tip-top. The free to use playground outside is good for keeping kids entertained.
