Columbine Park on Sterling’s southeast edge, while smaller and less wooded than Pioneer Park on the West Central edge of the town, is nonetheless one of the area’s finest outdoor leisure spots. Old looming cottonwoods and elms help to shade this well maintained park. Beautiful old homes border the park’s north edge and the old sugar beet factory looms in the distance to the east. A superb walking path curves around the perimeter of the park and ample benches to relax as well as bird and squirrel watch are present, though I sense the benches are so that the area’s cute squirrels can curiously observe humans! A nice picnic pavilion is also present and plenty of street parking as well as a parking area in the center of the park is also available.

Great place for people of all ages to enjoy! My husband and I walk there when we are able, and the walking paths are always well maintained. We also like to take the grandkids with us to walk and play at the playground. The playground equipment has something for all ages of kids, and our granddaughter loves the stories on the walking path. Another nice feature of this park is the bathrooms are always nice and cleaned. All in all a great park to enjoy.

An excellent place to take my corgi to run and play with her soccer ball. The park we exceptionally well maintained and always beautiful. The path around is plenty wide for two way traffic.

Always a beautiful place to relax, walk and enjoy the sights and smells of nature. Great pavilions for family gatherings. Lots of room for the kids and pets. One of my favs!

A nice park, quite and restful. Close to main hwy but on the far side you dont notice. The train might give a skip of a heart beat if you arent ready for blasts of its horn. Great play area for kids, a great sidewalk to walk, ride a bike and plenty of grass to play and run on. Pubic bathrooms not very clean. But the park itself is clean.

Great Pokémon Go location. Perfectly sized for getting in those steps or a family day at the park. What can make it better? A kids water feature on the other side with BBQ pits with more tables out on other side scattered. Fence on end corner.

Nicest park in Sterling, and Sterling has a lot of nice parks. The city does a very good job of keeping up the parks and recreation areas of the community.

Lovely park to get a walk, bike, jog, or run in. 1km path which makes keeping track of activity easier by doing laps. Plenty of pet waste stops if walking your pets. Pokemon GO stops and gyms if you are into that as well.

This place is well maintained and sees a lot of Pokemon Go action. Lots of land marks and a good walking path. Lots of stuff for kids to do as well, but probably not the best park in town for athletics. Look for it for a casual outdoor experience.

This is a beautiful park with a great walking trial. We read the book while walking the trail and it make the walk really wonderful.

Nice park, the kids played on the play ground and had fun. It was very clean and looked well taken care of.

Beautiful park with a nice walking path! I love taking my dog for walks there! Plenty of space for an event, with two separate pavilions and plenty of picnic tables. The playground is smaller but a nice set up and there are benches all around the park to rest or just sit and enjoy the weather. Check out the statues while youre there and the story along the walking path!

Beautiful and peaceful with lots of space. Lots of mature trees, green grass and well-kept park. Theres a Veterans Memorial, some interesting statues, and a Library sponsored book reading project around the perimeter of the park. Theres a playground and plenty of places to have picnic.

Nice small park in Sterling, Colorado, featuring a sculpture by Bradford Rhea. The schulpture is named Skygazers. Originally carved from the trunk of a large tree felled by a terrible winter freeze in 1982. In later years the tree has been bronzed. Rhea carved a large number of these trees and they reside all around Sterling, inside and out. Sterling dubbed itself the City of Living Trees.

Great park for kids and adults alike there is a play ground and pavilion for large party a waking path. And the restroom are open 24/7 The restroom have running water and toilets that are clear. Really nice place

Well maintained restroom, nice playground area and a nice walking path. Strategically placed benches and a very tasteful military memorial area. Be sure to check out the bronzed tree sculpture at this park and throughout Sterling.

Kids always choose this park to go to. Always clean and goof parking.

The walking trail is just the right distance for a stroll with ease or make it a workout and go for a few laps. There is a nice veterans memorial and plenty of seating and shade for your next get together.

Good place to go for a walk. Very green for being in eastern Colorado and actually had real trees. I believe the walking trail around the park its about three-quarters of a mile

Our family enjoyed this park. The restrooms were clean and the park equipment was newer. There were several picnic tables available along with a couple picnic shelters. Would recommend this park!
