Wow! I loved it!! I stayed for a few days and Im so glad I did. For only $15 a night, the sweetest tasting fresh water available, sizable campsites, clean restrooms, even though they are pit toilets, and easily accessible hiking trails. The Alaska Department of Natural Resources has their Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation area office onsite, so Morgans Landing is always well kept and monitored.
Nice facility with lots of parking ($5). A lot of river bank space with a lot of boardwalks to fish from. Most of the water moves too slow for favorable sockeye fishing but you can be successful. Be prepared for a good walk from the vehicle to the river. The state uses these grounds for staging equipment and has a lot going on so theres always state employees roaming the grounds, which can be good and bad.
Great campground. Hiking to Kenai river. Lots of open spaces. No utilities or playground.
Great little camp ground. Plenty of privacy and greenery.
Well maintained, beautiful area.
Camp hosts were awesome, very friendly and informative. Even had the latest fishing news. The camp itself is nice (No hook-ups), being this is the headquarters site for this regions state camping it is the largest, only disappointment is the bulk dumpster (NO RECYCLE).
Bathroom clean, well water great . Long walk to fish
How should i know, I didnt go to morgens landing
Quiet, clean and great Campground Host!
Loved it, quite and perfect
