Manito is the best park in Spokane in my opinion. Great place for the family. Theres a Japanese garden with a coy fish pond thats beautiful. Theres a manmade pond with swans and geese and ducks. Theres a playground, trails and a HUGE beautiful garden full of all different types of flowers. Here in Spokane and Spokane Valley theres a few rock painting groups that paint and hide rocks or people just go and find them, anyhow, myself and my kiddos do both and this is a good park to hide and find these rocks as well. Super fun!

Pretty remarkable that the feel of the Park is the same given all the changes over the years - such a great city park. Make sure you give the carousel a shot... it’s fun for all ages. If you’re lucky you may get a golden ring :)!!!

Absolutely breathtaking. My wife and I have been in the greater Spokane area for about a year and a half now and we couldn’t believe it took us so long to stumble upon this little slice of heaven. We parked pretty far from the entrance and so we got to take a nice long walk around the duck pond up and through the rose gardens, and when we found the big courtyard, we were amazed. Our only complaint was that we waited until after the first snow of the year to find it! We plan on taking many walks throughout this grand park when spring rolls back around.

The Rose Garden is beautiful right now. I recently moved back after 17yrs being gone and I was very sad to see how yucky the water looks. But still a peaceful and otherwise beautiful place to go sit and reflect.

Always beautiful! I love the rose garden the most but the whole park is so amazing! 7/10/20 about 75% of people were wearing masks. Not required if you can social distance but there were a lot of people on the paths and trails. A great place to be!

Best park in Spokane and its vast, but since thats no secret theres always a lot of people visiting it. Lots of dogs, people running and couples strolling. Its a great neighborhood too and most everyone there is super nice. Just busy is all. My dog loves it because theres a ton of squirrels, kids, fowl and other dogs. Plus everyone picks up their dogs poo, so its a really clean spot.

I feel so fortunate to have such a beautiful park so close! It really feels like multiple parks, with the perennial garden, the Duncan garden, the Japanese garden, the lilac garden, and rose hill. Other highlights include playgrounds, mirror pond, and the Gaiser conservatory. Ive lived in several big cities and can say that this is an incredible park for a city of Spokanes size.

Really enjoyed the 2 kids parks (one on the north side and one on the south side). All the gardens that were open were also very beautiful. Lots of places to sit and watch or picnic, as we did, and theres even a little snack shack but its on the pricier side. We got 3 bottled sodas and a black coffee for about $15. Lots of walking trails, places to play soccer or whatever and even a large pond to bird/fish watch. We were bummed to see the Japanese garden and green house closed.

As always beautiful!!! Be aware Gaiser Conservatory is closed due to Covid and the Japanese Garden will be closed until fall 2020 for construction. Rose garden, Duncan garden, perennial gardens, etc are still open and lovely to wander around. Went mid week and in late morning and was easy to social distance and still enjoy the beautiful park! So many beautiful flowers and gardens!

With covid, it seems like the park is even busier than usual -- people having picnics on the grass surrounded by the flowers --- lots of families with little kiddos having pictures taken. It was very relaxing and pleasant. Wonderful and beautiful atmosphere with copious places to sit and enjoy the sights and smells of the gardens, all while maintaining social distancing without any hassle. Just missing the live music they often have on a Friday evening.

My favorite part about Manito Park is that it is BEAUTIFUL -- no matter the time of year you go. There are excellent features: A reflecting pond (no swimming!), an awesome playground for the kids next to a great hill to sled down in the winter, the Nishinomiya Japanese Garden, as well as the English garden. While there are many more cool things I could list about this park, you should just go discover them yourself on Manito Parks beautiful, winding forest pathways. I wish I could have gotten more pictures, but heres one I took of a gorgeous weeping willow next to the playground.

A delightful departure from the city, in the city. Acres of stunning and well maintained beauty. We did not have time to see the entire park but did see both the Nishinomiya-Tsutakawa Japanese Garden, Rose Hill, and the Perennial Garden. Need some ideas for your yard? Visit both gardens. The Japanese Garden has rules and but once you are inside it was quick to realize they are not needed as it puts you in a sedate state of mind just being there. Reflecting pool with Koi can be mesmerizing and the waterfall very calming.

Make sure to visit Manito Park year round in each season and in the summer they have live concerts in the park every Friday I believe. Also if you have children make sure to visit the lower playground near the duck pond as well as the upper playground and splash pad in the summer near upper Manito by the kickball fields! And make sure to bring a stroller or carrier for little ones, it’s a big park! Don’t forget a picnic;) Enjoy!!
