Beautiful place, but definitely not maintained the best. Great view of the city, but the trails are a bit rough. Worth checking out for the history of the place, but use caution hiking the narrow paths. NOT for children or those that have a hard with walking or balance =]

The docent was very informative. This is a 1915 period garden. Beautiful rock retaining walls, pergolas, large old trees, perenial & annual garden, water garden aka pond, rose garden which blooms in June. No hand rails in order to keep its restoration original. So it is difficult to hike up & down the steps and slopes in the gardens tiered areas if you gave bad knees.

I liked the history kiosks at the different locations. Would have been better with more shaded sitting areas and more working water fountains.

Beautiful park, Nice view of the city, way more quiet & tucked away. Less people than Riverfront park. Upward slop like hill covered with grass and trees, with a private historical garden hidden in the back further south. Open during certain times of the year.

Nature, history, and a great view! My favorite ramble. It is on a hill, so bring good shoes. Plus it has a free parking lot. Only negative is that people tend to litter a lot and parts need some tlc.

So so awesome

Beautiful views from up on top! The bottom of the cliff is full of trash though, and because it has unobstructed views of the entire city, the highway noise is quite loud, but on a snow day/night when noone is on the road it is the best view in town!

Spokane has a great variety of parks and this one fits more in the leisurely stroll to sniff flowers category than it does in the place to let kids run and scream.
