I think it safe to say that this is my favorite church building in the State. Where else can you find an authentic gothic style construction as this one? The attention to detail exquisite and not overdone. It is real stone, real arches, real stained glass panels, and a real pipe organ. It replicates well the great churches that I have visited in Europe.

So beautiful inside. The church is always open for touring and it is very interesting to do so. It is always so quiet and peaceful inside. I am sure you can always come to pray or read the Bible there without any distractions. I found it full of history and interesting points. It is just great to come in and walk around there.

This historic neo-Gothic cathedral stands on the south hill overlooking Spokane, viable from nearly every corner of town. The views of the city from the cathedral are as stunning as the impressive architecture and stunning art within. Worship has a typical Episcopalian feel with friendly staff and clergy.

One of the most BEAUTIFUL places of worship I have ever been!!This is a genuine Gothic stone cathedral, I believe its one of only two true Gothic cathedrals on (near) the west coast.I can honestly say that visiting here was a very moving experience, I truly felt the presence of God, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I felt so welcomed and so much peace and comfort here.Did I happen to mention that this cathedral is breathtakingly gorgeous??!!Make plans to visit here soon, its something youll never forget!

This is a small example of classical Gothic architecture. Beginning in 1925, it was completed in 1929. The stained glass windows tell different stories, with the inspiration coming from Book of Genesis to Revelations.

We stopped in to tour the cathedral and accidentally interrupted a group of ladies having a meeting. They graciously stopped to greet us and share information about the church and surrounding area. There was not a formal tour going on at the time but we were encouraged to take a brochure and visit at our own pace. The cathedral is beautiful and peaceful and well worth a visit!

I grew up in Spokane in the 1950s and 60s, but it took a visit to the city 50 years later to finally go inside the cathedral I’d driven by so many times in my youth. This is a must-stop if you’re in the city.

What an awesome place, outstanding architectural building. All made of stone with some wood carvings. The stain glass windows (a work in progress) are brilliant. The natural light above the alter is always a good highlight. So much to enjoy. Im always happy to roam around and explore. My favorite piece is the honor to arch angel Michael. God bless St. John. The children love to go there. They are always welcome and part of the atmosphere. Great time spent.

What a beautiful church both inside and out . There is a stained glass window that when the sun shines through it turns the inside of the church all red it is so beautiful . I would encourage anyone into architecture and visiting Spokane to visit this church it is such a jewel perched on the south hill overlooking Spokane downtown. How lucky we are to have such a jewel.

What a fantastic find. I was fortunate enough to attend the Kilkenny Choir perform Sacred music from Paris supported by the Kilkenny youth choir. A polished professional performance given by all, testament to the talents of founder and conductor Phil Edmondson. If you see a concert advertised make sure you book it. I cant recommend them enough. .

A welcoming, affirming place that lives into the via media (the middle way) that is the Episcopal Church. Worship at St. Johns is traditional, beautiful, and accessible for all. Many ministry opportunities go on throughout the week and education opportunities are available for all ages. The building itself is open everyday for visits and prayer, 9-4 Monday-Friday, similar hours on Saturday and Sunday depending on other events that are ongoing.
