My daughter and I love this park! Its beautiful year round. We even did an egg hunt there for Easter. My daughter loves playing in the stream that runs through it and I especially enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms, daffodils and lilacs that cover the park in the Spring. Its a perfect place for a photo shoot for sure!Oh yea, and they have some great trees for climbing!

Wondeful Park! I especially enjoyed the Touch and See trail, designed specifically for those with difficulties seeing so they could learn about different plants and reach out to feel the very plants they were learning about.I visited in the autumn and while we had an early cold snap in our area and many of the deciduous trees had brown or no foliage, the map I found at the entrance gave me suggestions of trees to find that had the best chances of being pretty to view for this time of year. The map was not wrong.I am definitely excited to visit again during Spring and Summer seasons. Please be aware they do not allow pets in the park and there are no resources to pick up pet excrement throughout the park.Parking is decent, the grounds are uneven and but there are some trails where a wheelchair may be able to access, best to see for yourself before bringing a wheelchair here though.

How had I never been here before today?!? So this place is beautiful and had the best fall colors right now, plus super accessable and close to downtown. Bonus points for the juvenile moose hanging out right by the parking lot. So cool.

Great place to visit and see a lot of interesting plants and wildlife. It goes back a lot farther than most people probably explore and there is a lot to see! Definitely well taken care of. I would love to see an EV charging station in the parking lot so I can get a quick boost while enjoying nature.

A very beautiful arboretum. Well worth visiting. Two suggestions:1. Plant several lines of thick conifers right along i-90 so as to reduce the amount of traffic sound.2. On See &Touch trail, I would estimate at least half of the signs are inaccurate concerning plants that should be growing there. Then either need to be repositioned or removed. Would suggest checking these carefully.

My girlfriend and I went here for luxury of relaxing after a long week. It was nice and peaceful, lifting up our spirits. Definitely recommended and also if you are a bus rider coming from downtown, it’s better to go across the bridge across the freeway on Government Way and Rosamond than climbing up Sunset Hill.

The finch Arboretum has been one of the most amazing gems up Spokane beauty for most of its existence. I regularly will wander the park and just experienced the wonderment that it beholds :-) there is a lovely stream that flows through the center of the park and then at the back of the park theres a hidden little garden which I always want to venture towards :-) Im so grateful to Spokane and the wonderful parks department that keeps the magic alive :-)

Stayed 2 blocks away (thanks AirBnB!) so coming here for morning walks was EASY. If you drive, theres plenty of free parking. LOTS of trails. LOTS of signs to learn whats growing there. Many benches for contemplative sitting....love the creek bubbling through the arboretum. Its bigger than you think. Allow an hour to explore (and to take lots of pictures), at least!

Finch Arboretum is one of my favorite places in the world! I love how it continues in and on; just when you think youve reached the end of the park, you find another area. The creek running down the middle is perfect. It is a wonderful place to relax and connect with nature.Only complaints: a few very small parts of the arboretum are messy and unkempt, and there is a lot of freeway noise since it borders the arboretum. Not sure theres any way to improve either of those.

This is a great place to picnic. Its a fun place during all the seasons. During the warmer seasons bug spray is definitely a necessity though because there are lots of mosquitoes near the water. There is a creek that runs straight through and if you follow the trail beside it all the way back there are lots of little bridges that cross it as well lots of little waterfalls.

This is a really beautiful place, hidden and secluded, in a place one would never think it would be! Has a huge, beautiful tree that has three or four huge trunks (which I hear is famous place to have pictures taken). The grass is green, the trees and shrubs are well taken care of. I didnt see many flowers. Has a nice sized parking lot. Very close to I-90. All in all, a really nice place to go and take a walk and get out of the busy town for a minute! Great place for a photo shoot! Or walking the dog (please make sure and take a poop pick up bag). If you want a quiet place in the middle of town, this is the place! While yes, it is true, you can hear the cars on the freeway when you first arrive, but they are all but forgotten soon after as you walk around and enjoy the scenery and small escape! If you find this review helpful, please click the like button!

In 1907 a strip of land was purchased and later, in 1912 Finch purchased the surrounding land. There are over 2000 indigenous trees located in this Arboretum, a full place of flora and fauna it allows you to get out of the city for a while. You can do a self walking tour and depending on what season you go in, the experience will be different.

I just love this place. They have a great variety of trees and keep the grounds well maintained. Explore the Arboretum in every season. The crabapple trees were just in bloom and looked spectacular. Right now their collection of lilacs are in bloom. They look and smell wonderful. In the summer everything is green and lush. Fall brings the wonderful colors. There is a creek running through the Arboretum and plenty of park benches to rest on or pull up a rock. The kids will enjoy climbing on them. They do have bathroom facilities. A gorgeous walk right next to a freeway is possible? Yes, here in our bustling city, Finch Arboretum offers all the benefits of being out in nature; peace, quiet, serene, babbling creek, and, of course, Trees! There are nice plaques in the ground around most trees and shrubs, identifying them. They also include unique facts sometimes too! There is a portion of an amazing path that has rope and Braille on the plaques, donated , I believe, by the Girl Scouts. Enjoy the fresh air and reconnect with nature.
