I just got back from a 7 day cruise in/out of Seattle to Alaska, with a stop in Glacier Bay. I have friends that work for Holland America, so I thought Id give them a shot. It was my first cruise so I didnt know what to expect, but I was pretty happy with the rooms. We called to arrange double twin sized beds, since I was going with a friend and thought that would be more comfortable, but they missed the note and our room was set up wrong, even though they told us it could be arranged no problem. Oh well.. the bed ended up being pretty comfortable and was probably a King cause we had plenty of space! The sheets were good quality and clean and the pillows were comfortable. I couldnt be happier with the rooms and the size of it! I was surprised how large they were - enough for a King bed, a sitting area, and a spacious verandah with a small table and two chairs, with foot rests! They were divided by barriers - enough so you can hardly see your neighbors. And the glass handrail was an amazing addition, so you can see the views when sitting low!The room stewards were amazing - we had a team of 2 people and they would come in and flip our rooms at least twice a day. Once in the daytime so our beds and bathrooms are cleaned and we had fresh towels after we woke up in the morning.. and again in the evening, to turn our beds and close our blinds before bed at night. We literally had a made bed all hours of the day! They would put the decoration on the beds during the day, and remove them when it was bed time at night. they even put luggage pads on our beds for boarding day and the night we needed to place our luggage outside to disembark! They have this system down to a T.The food was alright.. the burgers at the Dive-in were ok.. the fries were crispy and delicious! The wait was about 20-30mins at any given time. The NY pizza was indeed a disappointment. There was a wait but the pizza wasnt anything to rave about - frozen pizzas almost taste better. The Lido was on deck 9 and it was the buffet option on the cruise.. there were lots to choose from and the menu rotates and changes daily.. I liked the cereal/crepe/waffle option for breakfast. Though, the crepe station ran out of Nutella cause they had just a jar to work with? What?! They ended up giving me a plain crepe with two squeezy individual portions of Nutella to make my own crepe. Huh? And they didnt have bananas at the crepe station so I had to roam the boat to find my own bananas to cut into the crepe. Hah! I made it work.. but they need to do something about this! Also one person making crepes is not nearly enough for a boat of hundreds of people! Theres a salad bar.. and a hot station with salmon/roast beef/etc and the sides... theres also an Asian station with rotating menus for Indian/Indonesian/Chinese, etc.. with a sushi selection (that was pretty sad). I think one of the best items from Lido was the Indonesian day with a spicy chicken over rice.Overall, I enjoyed the cruise. It was very smooth going to Alaska in mid May.. the 2nd cruise to Alaska of the year.. early in the season. Smooth waters and we were really lucky with amazingly clear weather at every single port. Definitely plan for some excursions, I would recommend the helicopter and airboat tour in Juneau to land on the Taku glacier! Amazing views! Glacier Bay was equally as amazing to cruise through.. especially the wild life (we saw seals, sea lions, eagles, bears and whales). The sound of that glacier ice breaking into the ocean was crazy! I cant compare this cruise to anything since its my first but I can believe there are more things to do and more food options on other cruises. I think this is a smaller ship but I had a good experience

Nice port. Easy to access. We took a Lyft and had to carry/walk our luggage to the curb about 1/4 mile walk. Lyft or Uburs are not permitted to drop off or pick up at curb. Only taxis, private limos and buses are permitted to drop off and pick up at curb. After walking to the entrance plenty of staff guided you around the port.

You can actually save money getting to thw terminal from Sea Tac Airport. I live challanges and let me tell you, this was a bit of a challenge after the bus dropped me off the main road above this terminal. But let me start from tbe beginning to explain how I got here. I took the link light rail to downtown Seattle at westlake station. Take the escalator up one level to get onto street. Take a right onto Jarvis and 3rd Ave. Walk up the hilly side walk and wait for bus #33 East Magnolia. When you get off the bus, youll have to cross the busy traffic street to get o to the other side. Theres a long stairway that will take you down to the about a 10 minute walk to get to the Pier. I only had one small carry on luggage and a medium size backpack. Im 59 years old lady and I was able to manage!

I dont come here for the cruises so I cant speak to that, but I come here on the daily for work.Parking is mostly available and its easy to get into the property. The problem is that it is too easy. Homeless folks across the street just throw on a hard hat and walk in (Ive personally seen it), which Im fairly certain is the reason for the recent strings of theft across the pier. Several thousand dollars worth of tools have been stolen from various contractors working along the Pier when the ships are in for work. Instead of policing those issues, the only time I see their security doing anything is when they pull over people for going 5 over the speed limit posted.

The crews at the pier function like clockwork even with thousands of people traveling thru. Biggest challenge was figuring out how to leave the facility.

We disembarked in this terminal from our Alaska cruise on Carnival Legend. The views were spectacular an the day we arrived. The process was easy and we were met by a porter while retrieving our luggage inside. He loaded it and followed us out to our cruise ship sponsored tour bus. Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. The port is close to town if you aren’t planning a ship sponsored excursion. We did enjoy the convince and knowledge or our guided tour out of the pier.

Boarding a cruise ship with all the other passengers can be hectic but being among the combined passengers of three cruise ships with none of us having any idea of which way to go is sheer pandemonium! Somehow the people working the terminal were able to get each of us pointed in the right direction and we all made the trip just fine. Hats off to them for not losing their cool and helping us keep ours At the same time.

Very efficient setup for boarding and disembarking cruise ships. Getting there early is a good idea, but you will likely wait on a line. But things move quickly, so youll be aboard before you know it. Leaving is not bad, either. Ground transportation is plentiful and you wont wait long.

My mom always has to have the best of the best so bc of that they gave her a special employee that met us at the entrance of the building where a couple thousand people line up with luggage to check in and get through 2 stories of Id checks and k9 checks and we got to be the first in line!!so a process that can take 3 or more hours took my entire family maybe 30 minutes and we were aboard the boat! We took a Lyft from the Amtrak station on King Street to the dock. Lyft has to drop off at the farthest drop off spot available. It was a hike to get to the cruise building. Kind of a cattle call to get inside. We had to show our paperwork so many times I lost count. Some of the employees were very friendly, others just wanted you to move along and barked orders at you. Most disappointing part was on our return. I stopped to get my luggage and paperwork sorted in preparation for the long walk out to Lyft because it was raining. I was told I couldnt stand inside and to move along. Once we got out to the Lyft area the tents that had been set up to cover the waiting area didnt cover any of the benches so every single one was soaking wet. While we waited we got to watch the port employees yell at people trying to find their Lyft cars. The port employees were also very rude to the Lyft drivers. They made it obvious they didnt want them there. Hopefully if they build the new cruise pier, employees will appreciate the economic contribution cruisers make to the local economy and have a better attitude toward the process.

I would have to say that this cruise port was good. And considering the Fiasco we had trying to get from Vancouver airport to the port in Vancouver it was a nice change. This type of thing going in and out with customs and security is never easy. But I feel like the port did a good job. It was certainly better then the last two experiences I have had. This is for Marshalling yard the PAX show. First of all the easiest way to go is take i5north then take exit for space Needle which is a left side exit. Upon exit you will enter a small tunnel than the street is going to turn into Mercer Street, go for good 2 miles remember this streets are like downtown streets and they got lights along with minor to medum upgrade for those 2 miles. Then a small curve to right than downgrade. On the bottom of that downgrade you want to turn right which is going to be Elliot AVE East. Than stay on to the right curb lane yes the right curb lane. You would see signs for Terminal 91 follow that along the way theres going to be small signs which will say Marshalling yard. On 14th Ave west you will turn right, stay on the left lane, then at the T intersction take a left. Enter the gate by showing your professional licence (turn right), then you got to go all the way in for the yard. Its quite a way thats what we felt. Its near light pole 34. Please note the ramp for the Seattle space Needle are Closed from 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m. (8/27--8/31)so good luck finding detours.

Boarding the boat was easy for us. Coming home was a disaster. Two cruise ships docking at the same time. Security was so rigid about parking I lost two Uber rides be cause we could not find each other. They cancelled because they have a time limit. FINALLY we got an Uber driver who knew what he was doing (spoke English} finessed security and found us. We stood there three hours while security was pushing cars through to go around again. Uber drivers would not take the time.So between the thousands of people and the hundreds of cars.....I thought it was a mess and the Port Authority (or who ever was responsible) needs to find a solution.

This is the main cruise ship port in Seattle. On turnover days as many as 20,000 people (10 out, 10 in) will pass through here in the span of about 5 hours. For an operation this large and populated youd think there would be some organization to manage the people and all of the traffic they generate. Turns out, while there are people who are seemingly tasked with managing these things, they do a very poor job of it. I found staff members that seem to enjoy yelling random, strange and completely wrong instructions to people who are just trying to make their way on and off their cruise ships. If youre traveling through this terminal be sure to give yourself 2 hours in each direction, and maybe youll make your connections. Maybe.

A lady had me bypass the lineups and proceed to the desk for a photo and also asked me if I would require a wheelchair to take me on board. I don’t know much about Seattle or WA in general but unlike the port in Victoria BC and rest of NA in general it is apparent that in this port Pedestrians DO NOT have the right of way on the Zebra crossings aka crosswalks in front of the terminal. The short tempered “crossing guards” heavy handedly enforce that buses absolute right of way over pedestrians on the even to the point of being mean and yelling and sometimes even cussing at elderly mobility impaired people to hurry up on the crosswalk or splitting families apart to let buses pass.Another thing is that the terminal is really confusing to navigate. The taxicabs that line up at the taxi line are extremely dishonest and the one I hailed would not use the meter and even try to charge by the person which is against Seattle regulations. If you choose to use Uber and Lyft or have someone pick you up, instead you are pretty much have to walk far out of the terminal to the pickup zone or take a shuttle bus. is far and hard to locate as well.I only give this place it’s second star as I noticed that most staff both those related to cruise lines, security; information, as well as immigrations are exceptionally friendly and it’s not too difficult or far to walk to and from the ship. And my cruise line experience is exceptionally nice. However two major issues I will definitely address to the relevant authority or city of Seattle. As Seattle taxis are required to use the meter and not charge by number of passengers and know where things are and not take passengers for a ride.

The terminal itself is very nice for being dropped off. It suxks if you de ide to use ride share to leave. The terminal is outside of town and the end away. This means there are no hawkers trying to grab your bag and drop it off while holding their hands out for money. The baggage drop offs were well organized. Dont expect the people to know the cruise lines boarding programs. Look for lineage and head to your correct area.Check in was reasonably fast and smooth. There is a series of long ramps to spiral up to the ship and you are done.On the return you will be in a large warehouse. Customs looked incredibly bored. There are bathrooms. To catch a cab it is the drop off. If you want to avoid the cab song and dance of not turning on the meter and having a broken credit card machine you will be walking past the drop off and past another building until you eventually find the ride share area. All told it isnt bad but the lack of awareness which lines to use for programs and the Terri me tacked on ride share area cost it.
