It was a truly beautiful Japanese garden and an actual pretty cool maze like setting, easy to navigate around and beautiful to stubble upon random little waterfalls. I would recommend going for a stoll either for a romantic setting, clear your mind or to take super cute photos with friends. Love the Zen of it all, this is a great spot for pictures.

This place should have an average 5 star rating. We visited to see the fall colors and we were not disappointed. Park is larger than it seems. Beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Parking lot is small but thats the only criticism and not worth knocking points for. A must stop if you visit or live in or near Seattle.

It is a very beautiful park. On this sunny autumn afternoon, there were a lot of people. But it did not feel really crowded. Probably because the park was large. 95% of people wore masks. People were friendly to each other and took turn to take photos at attractive spots. Parking is very very limited. But plenty of free street parking by the park.

Mostly peaceful and beautiful Japanese Garden here Kubota Garden. I love this place. It is open year-round and admission is free. And parking lots are available. Please wear mask and keep a social distance during COVID-19 now.I think largest Japanese Garden in WA and dynamic landscape. You may get lost sometimes but dont worry, just keep walk until see some signs. There are ponds, creek, waterfalls and bridges...etc.When you come here, you can feel the blessings of nature with the colors of the seasons. Also suitable for taking pictures of wedding, graduation, all kind of celebrations,a perfect place for a date and walking with your family ...etc.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

Absolute zen like bliss in the middle of an extremely active neighborhood. You can literally just wander around and get lost in bliss amongst the trees, bushes, pagodas and fresh air. Many hidden nooks for a great picnic. Rough last couple of health days for me so this was a perfect afternoon mental health walk with my partner. Very quiet and relaxing and a reset for the start of week. Ive lived in Seattle for over 20 years and I just discovered this gem. Im definitely revisiting. Highly recommend it.

These gardens are a truly hidden gem in Seattle. So many hidden trails and little paths to take. Lots of grassy spots to lay out on, or have a picnic. And tons of shade for those who are sensitive to sun. The ponds are fun to watch the fish, dragonflys and birds swoops in to munch up the bugs. There are over 40 varieties of maple trees ln grounds and TONS of other well groomed trees and plants. Its very peaceful and relaxing and a great spot to get away without actually getting away. The little bridges over the ponds are wonderful and would make a fun place for a casual photo shoot with all the reflections.

This place is gorgeous. Very well maintained with family friendly walking paths, not too many stairs (and usually a way around them if there are stairs) and some grassy areas for a picnic. Several different water features with huge koi, too! I was there for over two hours looking at plants and enjoying the sunshine. I’ll definitely be back!

I love to walk here as it gives me a deep sense of calm. I have a dear friend that walks here everyday. It’s a bit of a drive from north Seattle but I do visit every time I’m in that neck of the woods. There is a large variety of plant/tree types and the koi fish range from tiny to gigantic.I highly recommend visiting when you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.(Disclaimer- the photo of the white koi fish was enhanced with the Clarendon filter )

Today I turned around and left KG without getting out. I am so sad how full and busy the place is and how large the park crowds are, groups of 4-5 and up. But what’s worse, is the rude parking lot behavior many are exhibiting. I have lived here all my life and go to KB weekly , but today was just unacceptable. We have a pandemic and the parks are overflowing, I understand, but please be kind and forgiving, and do not rush to get a space or hog an exit, we are all just trying to get along here! Anyway, I am revising my favorite go to place and will visit the Cedar river and lake WA now. I know enough out of the way areas so there are no rude crowds. I will miss you KG, my #1 urban respite. I will still visit but only early mornings from now on. That’s my recommendation, visit early and limit walks to 2-3 adults and under 1 hour. What really surprised me were most of the rude behavior was from young families , the guys, driving like maniacs . It seems the under 30 family crowds are the most rude and greedy. Again, it’s probably this crazy pandemic bringing out the worst in us all. Be safe and take a deep breath

My car was broken into on September 10th 2020. If it was you who took our items, or happened to find them around somewhere, please let me buy those things from you. Nothing had very high monetary value, but was very dear to us. Our 10 year old Canon camera had pictures from a trip to Asia. There was also an orange backpack, disability national park pass, binoculars that my parents gifted us, and an old tablet Nexus 7. Please contact me if you happen to know anything. For everyone else: do not come here! Garden officials know about the gang that works this garden and they care nothing about it.

Best kept secret of Seattle. Did not know it existed when I lived there. Very quiet park in Seattle suburb. Can be accessed via light rail and bus or walk from the light rail station. May is when the Rhododendrons are flowering and shades of red pink white purple will dazzle you. The garden is big and wonderful. All angles are photogenic. Bridges, stones and wandering lanes. At the time of visit the forget me knots were blooming and giving great blue eyes to the surroundings. You can get lost in thought in that garden. Lovely place to stroll and look at nature.

This is such a lovely botanical garden, especially in the spring when the side that isnt the rose garden is also in bloom. Its not that expensive to get in, and there is so much walking/low-key hiking that youre also sneaking in a workout (by my standards anyway). I went here with the family, but it also seemed a destination for couples on dates. If youre with folks that have a limited amount of energy and/or patience, I would start with the rose garden and work your way around. My group included a smoker who called it quits after 2 hrs when they needed to get their fix, and as a result missed out on the loveliest part of the gardens.
