Ive been coming to this park since I was a little boy but back then it used to be the ramp entrance to the monorail right where I was standing and you would walk up to it to get on it to go into the Seattle Center.Back then they had the Bubble AterIt was a clear bubble elevator lot of good memories

Great place for lunch or coffee! The folks who work there are AWESOME! Keeping it clean and spacious. Bring the kids with scooters and skateboard or play ping pong! You may even SEE a famous face. Shopping and food go hand in hand! I promise you will enjoy Westlake Park!

Nice open public space right downtown, often used for large gatherings. Be careful of cars driving thru on Pine street. The Water Wall here is a popular spot on hot days (when its running).

Nice well paved place for a evening hangout before taking a long route bus back home. This place has nice place to sit and is glimmers with lights October through december. The carousel charges are 4$ per person and seems to be a good group photo opportunity.

I walk through this place daily on my way to work and I enjoy seeing it get decorated for the holidays. It gets pretty packed with lunch trucks during the work week and the food options are not bad.Early mornings are another story, as this place is heavily occupied with homeless and the less fortunate. It doesnt bother me, but there have been a couple of rowdy encounters Id rather not be part of so early in the mornings.

I really enjoy this park. The fountain is very refreshing and lots of fun to walk thru when its hot out and the music and festivities and rides they often have set up here is amazing to! Plus it is conveniently located in the heart of downtown so it makes it very helpful when you need to rest and take a break from all the shopping and running around. Plus it has an amazing X-MaS tree display and unforgettable carousel ride for the whole family during the holiday season. I love this park! :-)

We visited here during the Holiday season when they had the carousel up, and my family and myself had such a blast. The kids loved the carousel that they bring in every year. And even when its not the holiday season, we like to stop here to have the kids play at the jungle gym they have. Its a nice place to take a break from all the close shopping they have around.

This was a very lively place to eat some dinner we picked up a few blocks over. There are tables you can set up and chairs you can use with them. The water feature was a hit with the kids, as was the playground, though its really just a single small climbing feature and some hemispheres for crawling on.

Like much of downtown, Westlake Park use to be a nice meeting spot or a place to eat your lunch. Now the park is full of homeless people who are pushy and do not understand I do not have an extra dollar. Needles can be found around and/or people high as a kite after just shooting up in front of you. I used to have no fears being in this area, even at 2am I had no safety concerns. Today you couldnt pay me to eat lunch here or be anywhere in the area at night.

Actually, this park features only concrete facilities, no grass, but a nice water feature. However, that is not why people gather there. On weekdays youll find an aromatic world of food-trucks. Westlake is also a staging ground for social-political and environmental marches, activism, speeches, music, and art. So its a great spot for what ever is happening.

There is always something going on here, be it seasonal activities, food trucks, or the playground for the kids. There is a bunch of shopping around the area, both high-end and fun. This is a frequent lunch destination for me; weekdays always see a variety of food trucks parked right on the plaza, or along the street. There is also a permanent hot dog vendor. They often put out games for adults too, such as a giant chess set, or a table tennis table. Musical groups perform on the plaza from time to time as well - today there was a brass band, but sometimes there are singer-songwriters, or other sorts of bands. During December, the plaza is dominated by a carousel. Always something interesting going on here, even if you just want to watch people.

I love Westlake. There is so much to do! Between the malls, lightrail, and monorail, theres so much to do in a stones throw. If you havent spent time walking around this area, please do so. Its pretty iconic. 3rd Ave can be rough if youre not used to a city, but its a city. All cities are like this. We are just more open about it because we have better resources. If youre new to the area, the lightrail station lived underneath Westlake Center, which is the building with Nordstrom Rack in it. You can even get to the station walking through their store if it is gross outside!

It just seems to be concrete, not really any grass. This place is crawling with tweakers and the homeless. But for some reason I found the homeless to be more entertaining than the park amenities themself. One guy had a mop as an instrument and was playing it, another guy had a acrobatic squirrel, some girl was holding a sign that said Donald Trump eats his steaks well done with ketchup, gross! I got a good laugh from that. Wow, I cant believe the homeless people laying around here actually made my trip here more memorable than the destination itself.

Not a park in the typical sense. Nothing more than a plaza. However, it does have a cool water fountain. Its right across the street from the Westlake Mall. During the Christmas holidays it has a nice Merry-go-round. In the summer there is a huge life size chess set on ground for anyone to play. Probably most notably is that the park is also ground zero for any major demonstration and marches in the city. Its also a hangout for homeless juveniles. In other words, there is always something interesting going on.
