The owner of the bookstore was amazing. He had this act that he did to keep my kids entertained while we looked around. He had amazing charisma and was a lovable librarian style. People like him make kids enjoy reading. I will be back here again. :)He said he wanted to make my kids his assistants. They could be his alphabetizers. It was cute. My kids loved it and I was laughing the whole while. My eldest son took the photos.

Its a must see when in Seattle. Lots of fun things to see and shop for. Try not plan on buying all your souvenirs here. You will pay a bit more. Walk to down to the waterfront and visit the shops there. Lots of places to eat chowder. Try them all. Make sure to write a review. I find it helps others. If your lucky you might see an events you werent expecting.

I absolutely love this place. I love the little shops and am really trying to support the small businesses. The best part is, by far, the flower marts. They have the most amazing dahlias. The only downside I would say is that due to the pandemic people are not being allowed to select their own vegetables. This is understandable, but I have received some pretty old vegetables as a result. This will not result in repeat business and has honestly caused me to go to local grocers instead. I would prefer to shop at these small businesses, but not if Im going to get wrinkled peppers or overpriced squishy tomatoes.I will continue to go here for the shops like the fish market, pepper jelly, artists, and, of course, flowers :-).

Visited just this past weekend, it was a beautiful day went pretty early in the morning maybe around 10-11 am. We were there for a good while, walked all around ate at a few of the shops sampling a little from here and there, prices are a little high, but you can get a beautiful bouquet of flowers for just $5. Sundays you don’t have to pay for parking if you find a foot spot and their are plenty all along the streets around the market.

Is it actually possible to say that Pikes Market Place was clean? It was actually really clean! No shoes sticking to the ground or stepping on something swishing underfoot. It was the cleanest that I have ever seen the market. Even the bathrooms were clean!!!!! People were respectful of distance and store owners were all smiles, welcoming the return of locals and tourist alike. With less of a crowd we actually got to really talk to some of the vendors which has always been a rarity before. No large crowds pushing and shoving their way up and down the aisles. ( And this was during the weekend!) I think we did more shopping at Pikes now then we ever did in the past. We actually went to every level and discovered a couple of new favorite stores. I know this wont last forever. But we will be returning as often as possible to take advantage of the cleaner and more open market.

It said online it was open till 10pm so we got there around 8pm and we’re super excited to get some fresh fruits and possibly fish. When we got there everything was already closed. I didn’t see anyone there either. It looked like it was open earlier but maybe it’s not actually open. Not sure but just don’t go that late at night, maybe you will have better luck!

Pikes place is now open! Although there isnt as many vendors available they still have great options. I did have some fantastic fresh donuts here though and of course the famous gum wall is here. Fresh fruits and veg available, not sure about meats I try to block that out as Im vegan. There also was a couple flower stalls open. There is free parking right accords they market but is very limited. There is also free parking at target on the corner 1-2hours is free if you are spending $20 in there. It will print out a pass at checkout l that you can scan in the parking payment machine prior to going to your car.

I absolutely love this market, the fresh flowers, fruits, veggies, pasta and who can forget the just straight up fresh seafood. This is honestly the coolest place for a city girl to get really fresh food all around. I love this market for the one stop shop for all the freshest products, even cheese and fresh pastries near by. A great spot to grab lunch or make the day of it, tons of restaurants and coffee shops near by including the first Starbucks. Great views of downtown Seattle and the beautiful water surrounding.

Call me old-fashioned but I like strolling down open markets where I am not surrounded by high shelves stacked with packaged foods and the sound of running AC. The farmer market is a place to see fresh seafood sunbathe, do a bit of grocery shopping, admire the beauty of tulips, and have some human interaction. Pike Place Market is perfect in that way.

One of the very popular and prime attraction in Seattle. It’s one of the main tourist attractions and you will find the place packed. The first day unfortunately when I reached there, it was 7 pm in the evening. So the place was closed. So Again I stopped by in the morning. However it was 8-8:30 am. So the market is just started to begin. Not all the vendors were there. But saw really good fresh fish stalls, along with flowers and fruits and vegetables and gourmet pasta etc. There are so many different food options. Some of them are really famous and rest might be little less famous. But it’s worth to take the time and slowly explore the entire place and taste different foods from different stalls.

Its a must see whether its your first or 100th trip to Seattle. The people, sights and sounds are an experience itself. Be sure to walk because parking is scarce, timed, and the visitors dont mind standing and walking through the middle of the road. If you do drive and park, check the # in the top left corner of posted signs. Parking tickets arent cheap. If you plan to look on your first trip and come back another day to buy, be sure to ask your favorite vendors which days they take off. You may miss out on another day. See something you love? Grab a business card. Most vendors also sell via a website and some will ship your purchase (like seafood). Ask local vendors about their studios as some offer classes. If its your first time or youre a foodie, local Seattle tours are a great intro to the market. Dont forget your appetite! There are plenty of vendors and restaurants inside the market, as well as the surrounding area. From bakeries to bavarian meats, fresh cheeses, fresh organic produce, seafood, and the first Starbucks. Dont forget fresh flowers, a trip through Post Alley, and the multi levels of shopping below the main market floor. Enjoy!
