Great old steam building in Seattle. Something you dont find much in Seattle or this area. Great space. Has an old wooden stair, no elevator for ada people since it is an old building. Great place for photography,and group tours. Only open on the second Saturday from 10am to 2pm by volunteers.

Great free tour of an old retired steam power plant in Georgetown. The seattle city light employees and volunteers lead the tour through the inside and around the outside of the building, it lasts about 2 hours and provides a lot of interesting historical information about the plant and the Georgetown area.

Interesting mix of history, architecture, engineering and science. The folks are well informed about all aspects of the facility as well as the history of the field and Seattles place in it. A great way to spend an hour or so and you cant beat the price.

Great place to explore the industrial history of Seattle before the age of hydroelectric power.

Super cool tour and great history of Seattle!

The Georgetown steam plant is only open once a month, but is free for all visitors including two tours a day. Each tour lasts about an hour. There are plenty of volunteers around the whole site to answer questions and give info about the history of the steam plant. It was a little chilly and rainy the day I went and the building isnt well insulated, so make sure to wear enough layers on cold days.

This is a really interesting place to tour. Great history.
