Special trip with my teenage son to see Bruce and Brandon Lee graves. It was really easy to get to the cemetery on public transportation. Graves are up a hill with a small bench beside them. There were no other visitors when we went. It was little emotional for me. I grew up watching Bruce Lee and seeing the grave touched me. Great moment I shared with my son. We walked around the cemetery before we left. It is very well kept.

The Lee grave is currently behind a fence, but you can see it. Everything else is good to go. This is a really cool graveyard. Be careful though. They changed their times, but did not update online. I went there 4pm on a Monday. The gate was unlocked and I strolled in to find other people there too. I stayed until 450pm and somehow got locked inside. I called the office and no one answered because they were closed. I had to slide through a hole in the fence. Call ahead to see what their hours are. Thats why 4 stars. The Lee graves deserve the full 5, but me having to slide down an embankment through a hole in a chain link fence because management cant update hours on Google loses them one star.

Really cool experience and stellar view of the East Bay. However when I went the site was gated, and I think it will be for the foreseeable. Also dont try and park in the cemetery park on the streets outside. Cemetery roads are crazy narrow and since its so popular there, on a regular day parking would be impossible and have a chill time. I had a problem with this and it was a pandemic/no crowds. But overall amazing experience. Go to this place when in Seattle.

I guess not what I was expecting. I had seen photos of the graves before on TV and they seemed to be set apart from everyone else - that is not the case. Tough to have so many emotions going on at once, gratefulness to be where youre standing, honored to be so near to people that meant so much to others, and of course overwhelming sadness. I, like every other young man, wanted to be Bruce Lee, and next to him, lying there is Brandon - A young man who you just knew was heading for super-stardom. I walked away with a sense of honor, and an appreciation for the energy and joy these two men gave to the rest of the world.

The earth around them is worn down, loved and visited often. We were there for only a couple minutes before others came by. Do not stay too long, pay your respects and move on to give others a chance to mourn. It is a very emotional place where you can feel the love they had around them and still do. They are surrounded by gorgeous sprawling grounds, among hundreds of years of history with the earth growing around many stones. The grounds are worth visiting all by themselves if you have the time.

I couldn’t visit Seattle without seeing the greatest. It is just a little short ride to get to his resting place. I have always been a fan of Bruce Lee and cherished the legend as a kid. Had his poster on my wall! It is a peaceful place on the top of a hill and has a beautiful view. It is great to just chill with the legend on a nice day.

Both Bruce and Brandon Lee are buried at the Lake View Cemetery. Im just glad that I didnt visit this cemetery at night time. That would be pretty scary. LOL. But in all seriousness, just to see Bruce Lees grave site is worth the trip alone. Im very glad to see all of this with own eyes.

One of the most peaceful and inspiring burial grounds Ive ever laid foot in. It opens the eyes of your inner soul to question your current place in life and the universe to take inventory and assess is that where you want to be in life currently, are you content, or would you like to change some things around and live a fuller, more content exsiatance. Its a path to self-actualization, and motivates one to make the required changes to achieve such a goal. For me it has taken about 5 trips there to come to come to this conclusion of the hallowed, sacred, blessed souls, spirits, and vessels resting there......

Were on a weekday, there was absolutely no queue, very crocheted cemetery, beautiful monuments and magnificent oastenia. at the entrance there is a beautiful panorama to the north-west side, you can see the mountains and the beautiful blue sky. Bruces grave and Brandon Lee are well groomed, there is a shop near the tombstone, my friend and I have eaten the sandwiches brought with us on the bench. Also there are money of different denominations, what for them there put, to us and did not become clear, strange people, what for to put money ?! what do they want to show this? better buy flowers on them, will be more correct and beautiful.definitely recommend to visit, pay attention to the Opening Hours, you will not be able to meet the sunset there. Bruce Lee is a great actor who deserves a tribute of memory from all who are now alive, and how either he met his creativity and art and sport.

Its free to visit, but it is still a cemetery, a resting place for the dead. I was so surprised to see people park right next to the grave, blocking traffic on the narrow road so that no one else can pass, causing traffic jams. If they would just drive a little past the headstones and park where the road is wider, the jams can be prevented or minimized. Maybe signs are needed? And I understand visitors wanting to pose for photos next to the headstones, but to touch them, sit on them or even hang off of them is so disrespectful. I am glad I got to visit one of my heroes grave, but it was sad to see people behaving badly at such a sacred place.

Wasnt paying attention at the time as I answered questions from my son but then 8t kicked in. it was the exact date that Bruce Lee had died. The grave site is immaculate and well taken care of. Many people taking pics and talking about the legend and his son. A bench was donated by his wife Linda and daughter Sharon. I myself am a wing chun practitioner and started recalling the stories Grandmaster William Chungs told us about them being chased out of Hong Kong due to fighting and coming to the United States to get away and start a new life. Beautiful, well maintained, and peaceful memorial overlooking Lake Washington. There was a constant trickle of those coming to pay tribute as indicated by the piles of fresh flowers and coins. There was a bit of a line, really, but everyone was very respectful, and allowed each party private time and space. I said my quiet hello to the Lees, took my photo, and brushed a bit of dirt off the back side of the headstones.Advice to future visitors: If there is a crowd, and If you dont have physical access needs, I suggest parking elsewhere on the site and walking to the grave on foot. While there is a road directly behind the site, its extremely disturbing to the solemn vibe of those gathered for a carload of people to unload right in their midst. Just a suggestion.

This is a pretty cemetery in a pretty part of Seattle. Volunteer Park is a nice big park, and its nice to see so many people out enjoying the park. Yes, on any given day, you will see groups of Asians (and others!) coming to this particular grave to pay respects, take photos, etc.The cemetery holds the long history of the area: you will see a lot of Scandinavians, there is a Chinese section, and there is also a Japanese section that includes impressive monuments to 2nd and 3rd generation Japanese immigrants who served and died to protect this nation in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. You can also see the small marker for the founders of the Nordstroms retail empire (from northern Sweden).
